This boutique hotel is in a lovely part of town, directly across from a wonderful park that is worth visiting, just down the street from small grocery stores if you need anything. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, watching out for our safety when we were going out. The upstairs bar is super lovely, it is also a restaurant. The bartenders were very accommodating, make sure you have a Pisco Sour! We were very cautious because there was not a safe in the room. However, on the day we really needed it. I was very impressed. The front desk staff went to get a key which opened a drawer to another key, he gave me a key with a number on it and then he took. He had another key and took me to a riom down the hall where he used one key to open up the door in the wall, revealing a bank, looking safe. He used another key to open up the large safe, and then there were small individual safes with numbers on them. Inside each little safe, there was a metal box. He left the room and allowed me to have privacy to put my things in the little box and place it back in my Number, safe and secure it with my own key, which I kept until I went to retrieve my items when I left. Very secure!

Perfectly located. All staff very friendly and ultra helpful. Lovely top floor restaurant with views over park. Great evening meals,very reasonably priced. Lovely evening bar with live music but not Sundays. Suggest wine bar Boca Nariz with a massive interesting range of quality wines, fairly reasonably priced. We are going back to stay at least twice in the near future.

Hotel was a pleasant transition to cruise ship. Clean, convenient to city center. Staff extremely helpful. Breakfast included. Hotel is old but well maintained. Elevator works fine. Internet in room acceptable once one learns which server is closer to which room. Real gem: a piano bar in restaurant at night most enjoyable in a small setting.

It is an old , small fashion hotel, in a quaint street facing Cerro Sta Lucia that is green and beautiful. It has an animatrd bar don Rodrigo with good music, very animated and good food. Close by is Barrio Lastarria with excellent dining offers and street shopping.

Absolutely amazing little hotel near a beautiful park in Santiago. Restaurant upstairs has a piano player, who also play the saxophone. Downstairs has a bar, where people sing to another piano player. It was almost like karaoke with a live piano player. Everyone there was super helpful and very kind. Good sized rooms with very unique style. There are 2 suits of armor and a lot of very interesting things inside. Great location for food and i felt very safe staying there. Definitely recommend!!!!

I have happily stayed at Foresta over many years. It's an older place, full of charm. The rooms are small suites with a bed area and a nice sofa/TV area. Many of the rooms look out onto Cerro Santa Lucia and the hotel is well situated on the edge of the Bellas Artes area. BUT Unfortunately it has become run down. The rooms are in need of upgrading, The wall paper is peeling, tiles missing from bathroom, broken sink, worn cushions on the sofa, the blanket on the bed was old (needed replacing), water in the bottom of the fridge. Everything looked clean but tired. Breakfast usually looked out over the Cerro St Lucia but this time breakfast was amongst renovations. What a pity. It needs some love and care.

O hotel é muito bem localizado, perto de restaurantes, bares, farmácia, metrô e tudo que é preciso. A localização é excelente. Quanto à estrutura, é um pouco antiga e necessita de reforma. Notei que alfin quartos de casal são bem ok, mas o quarto de solteiro que fiquei não é muito bom. Tem vários problemas de umidade, algumas coisas quebradas e carpete bem sujo. Tentei trocar, mas disseram que não tinha outro. Como maior parte do tempo ficamos na rua, nos viramos por lá, mas indico evitar o quarto 403. Funcionários são ótimos e educados. Café da manhã é bem simples, mas é bom. Voltaria a me hospedar em um quarto com melhores condições de uso.

Forests is a small hotel with interesting old fashioned decoration. Location is unbeatable to visit downtown Santiago and it’s main attraction. Great location also for restaurants and night life. Room is very spacious. The bed is small and has a bizarre shape (gets higher st the place for feet). The big con is the noise when the room faces the street. They would do much better with additional isolation windows and blackout curtains. Staff is kind and very helpful. We didn’t try breakfast. Place is clean and on the oldish end.

The hotel is located near an intersection of several very busy roads. While this makes it convenient to get places to sightsee, it severely impacts the ability to sleep which is a key requirement of a hotel. The combination of the traffic noise, the pedestrian noise and the noise from the bar / restaurant means it was never quiet enough to sleep, the curtains don't do much to block out the street lighting either so the room was never dark. There was also an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke in my room. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was, fine, I knew the hotel was an older style so that didn't bother me but I barely slept during my 3 night stay and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to light sleeps such as myself.

De início tivemos um imprevisto pois chegamos muito cedo, e havia enviado uma solicitação para entrar mais cedo, porém não haviam quartos disponíveis, mas o atendente foi muito solícito e nós conseguiu um quarto menor temporariamente, pois estava com 1 bebê e estou grávida. No demais fiquei surpresa com a limpeza do hotel, apesar de muito antigo é extremamente limpo. Uma das melhores experiências que tivemos. O café da manhã é simples e satisfatório. Não tenho reclamação alguma a fazer, só elogios mesmo. A localização é excelente, fizemos quase tudo a pé.

Infelizmente reservei um quarto de casal e não tinha quando chegamos, ficamos em um quarto para três pessoas de forma improvisada. O café da manhã não é buffet, é uma pequena porção por quarto com um pão, presunto e queijo e ovos mexidos, qualquer coisa a mais é cobrado por quarto. Os funcionários foram atenciosos e respeitosos.

Esteja preparado para uma experiência diferente … o hotel e principalmente o quarto é bem rústico, o anfitrião conservou carpetes, decoração, móveis de uns 20 anos atrás. Cumpriu o papel que buscávamos, apenas para dormir uma noite, a cama confortável, banheiro com chuveiro bom e quente. O estacionamento fica bem distante da entrada do hotel. O café da manhã é servido por pessoa, incluindo fatias de pão, frios e ovos mexidos, pelo valor que pagamos consideramos “ok”.

Local aconchegante e com uma ótima recepção, Sr. Luis(recepcionistas)nos auxíliou em tudo que precisamos e deu dicas de passeio, são pessoas como ele que nos fazem se sentir confortável mesmo fora do país. A unica advertência é o cafe da manhã ( não permitem repetição mais uma vez cada item servido em mesa).
