It was a unique experience staying in an old medieval building with a beautiful view of the towers of San Gimignano. The bathroom was a little small, but the room itself was quite spacious. I do wish the bedding had been a little cleaner. The host welcomed us warmly, and the town was absolutely beautiful. It is definitely a place I would love to visit again.

I had a fabulous stay here! It was central, the staff were so kind and accommodating and everything exceeded my expectations! The outside space was beautiful and I love getting to stay in such a historical place. Highly recommend! Grazie mille!

Nice location close to one of the entrances to the city, which is handy as no cars are allowed inside. The place is nice and the bedroom was big, however the bathroom was small and narrow, hence the shower wet all the floor. The staff was very helpful and gave many advices. I definitely would recommend it !

We had an exceptional stay at Residenza d’Epoca Palazzo Buonaccorsi. Set within a beautifully preserved 12th-century palace, the hotel is full of history, charm and authentic Tuscan character. From the moment you step inside, you feel immersed in the atmosphere of medieval San Gimignano. Our room overlooked the beautiful cobbled streets of the old town, and waking up to those breathtaking views each morning was unforgettable. The location is perfect for exploring everything on foot while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay. It was beautifully presented in a charming historic dining room and offered a wonderful selection of fresh fruit, local cheeses and cured meats, homemade cakes and pastries, eggs, bruschetta, cereals and excellent Italian coffee. Everything was fresh, high quality and prepared with care. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Their recommendations for local restaurants were excellent, and every place they suggested turned out to be fantastic. If you’re looking for an authentic Tuscan experience in a historic building with wonderful hospitality, delicious breakfast and an unbeatable location, this is the perfect place to stay. I usually like staying in hostels that are housed in renovated old townhouses. This time it was a disaster. There was no breakfast, despite it being advertised, with the excuse that the dining room where it is served “was too cold”, which in February is hardly surprising. They gave us a voucher with a “discount” for the bar on the corner. “Free parking available” was also a lie. These were council car parks, outside the city walls and very few in number, so they were always full. We used the council’s pay-and-display car park, 300 metres away, the nearest one. In other words, NO PARKING. Finally, the heating in the room we stayed in didn’t work. I spoke to the manager via WhatsApp countless times, and she always replied that he would ring. HE NEVER RANG. The room was 17 degrees and stayed that way. My wife fell ill. ABSURD. As the manager only ever complained about money, we reckon she was simply skimping on the heating, just as she was in the breakfast room. TERRIBLE. THE PALAZZO’S ADVERTISING DECEIVES CUSTOMERS.
