No-frills but clean and comfortable, and a very service-oriented, thoughtful staff. Appreciate the water bottles in the room and the refill station downstairs. Their parking lot is small, but when all the spaces are taken, you can double-park and staff essentially will valet park your car. We enjoyed our 2-night stay!

I was pleasantly surprised to find this hotel, given that there's not a lot that I could find in K-town. The rooms were fairly clean once inside - not super great, with minor damage to the floor and stained walls here and there, but better than your average Motel 6. Did not care that all the lights were old, nasty cold fluorescent lights The bed sheet was one of those thin things which didn't provide much warmth, but it wasn't a terribly cold night so it wasn't a huge issue. Parking was also very tight. The hotel has its own small garage with a capacity of maybe 30 cars, which was completely full when I got there, so I was told to use the parking for the restaurant next door, which they were allowed to use after 10pm. Later I drove out and came back late at nght, and found the garage was chained closed. I summonth the guy at ther front desk and he opened it for me. Overall I can't complain a whole lot.

What this property lacks in style and upgrades it makes up for in customer service. The staff are very friendly. They have two covered parking garages and they don’t charge extra for them. The rooms are unique with extra closet space and separated shower area from sink. They are connected to a restaurant and separate coffee shop downstairs and Nextdoor to the H Hotel restaurant. Very convenient and inexpensive. I’d stay here over a pricier place just for those reasons

Though not the best area for kids, I had no problems at all as a single adult traveler. Neighborhood was quiet even with late night street food sales and residents out late. Microwave available meant down in lobby, not in room, and NO respectable hotel should be without an ice machine!

I liked the location and the parking was free, the main reason I chose Hometell. The room was good though it needed more electrical outlets. Good Korean restaurant on site. A decent two-star hotel. Safe area.

Centrally located for my needs. Good pricing. A good sleeping bed. Friendly helpful staff. Bathroom amenities were available. TV was a bit of a challenge. The parking minimal, but worked out . I would return in a hearbeat.

Older, small hotel currently undergoing renovation and updating. Friendly and helpful staff (or proprietors?). Great central location, excellent value for money. Easy, safe self-parking at no extra cost is a big plus in this area.

FILTHY , the bathroom hadnt been cleaned since the last guest before us, and the whole 4th floor was very dirty. Too bad this hotel was sold two weeks ago to someone who allowed it to fall into the unsanitary standards of a developing country. Plus, HE DOESNT THINK HE OWS THE GUESTS HOT WATER TO BATHE IN. Two completely cold showers even after wating a few minutes. Also, his cafe tried to sell me "chicken" that was not fit for human consumption. He will discover the true price of such buisness practices when his ratings plumet and people stop coming. The only positive was the friendliness of the young people working the desk.

Don’t Let the image you see on your phone fool you .From my experiences ,the toilet was not working and the temperature adjustment of the shower was broken too. Also they don’t even check the fridge so when I opened it there was a bowl of rotten food inside. Also there was someone else’s dirty socks in the bed. I was very surprised when I spent so much money for this.

The floors turned our feet black and were sticky in some places. The Air Conditioning was excessively loud and was brown or dark yellow on the filters inside. The toilet clogged and we were moved since they couldn’t get it repaired or cleared asap…but at 11pm…. The beds were all different twin size beds and not all hotel quality or construction… it had patch jobs everywhere… After sleeping in the equivalent of an airplane seat next to the engine…. We checked out a day early. I did share my concerns early about the issues and never received an answer. Not a “quality” hotel.

Third time staying here, first time clean and pleasant for a no frills, second time great service from front desk staff, this time dirty towels, used nearly empty box of tissue, requested clean towels from front desk and had go looking for house keeping to get some in the end. This place really needs updating.

The staff was very nice however the carpet in the hallway and outside furniture around the lobby and common areas was dirty the floor in the room was sticky and the bed coverings stained the towels were old and they used a very heavy smelling cleaner which was overwhelming and too potent we couldn’t breathe.

Yes the bed is very hard. Ugh. Its a mattress pad on a box spring. What the heck??! Ok stay for 1 night. This place has basic accomodations. No coffee maker in room. But there is a mini fridge. The room was clean for the most part. The shower was another doozy. The water pressure was not low and the tub kept filling up slow drainage and that was grossish. Water did drain down but wasnt the best shower to clean self Quick soap and rinse off. We did not use the ac or heater so i dont know if worked. Weather was nice temp outside. I am glad the window open partially with a screen to let the fresh air (downtown city air!) in. I didnt want to walk around and explore the area. There are many places to eat around there and lots of places deliver. There is covered parking lot and its free for hotel guest. Location was pretty close to where i needed to go. $10 uber ride to Paramount Theatre. 4miles.

The room I had was supposedly one of the recently remodeled ones, but whoever did the remodel left plenty of holes in the wall and a landlord special paint job on most of the surfaces. Bedroom window was broken that it wouldnt shut all the way. Right side of the mattress was super creaky. A few bursts of hallway noise. Building is basically open to the public, although for doordash purposes this is pretty convenient. No cable. All that being said, it was clean. No bugs, good housekeeping, clean sheets and floors and surfaces. Cheap enough but I'm kind of surprised how well it's reviewed.

Based on the price it wasn’t bad at all. Service was quick and polite and responsive. Hot water works fine, room looks dull and empty but everything is there, clean and tidy. WiFi service is slow, my husband who works in IT tested and said because there were too many devices connecting and their router could not support. If you don’t care about internet, definitely go for this hotel!

This place us cool. Weird Beds....its just a small futon type mattress on a hard box spring. Also TV us weird. No cable or satellite, its a weird digital flat antenna that gets local stuff. I think this place is a little over priced for what it is. Should have been $100 bucks for a weekend night. All in all not bad. I would stay here again when we go tona concert in DTLA

Positives: Stay was lovely, desk staff was very polite and helpfull. Room was clean and had a very nice mini fridge and freezer. Negatives: No kettle or microwave so we couldn't reheat leftovers or even make coffee or ramen. The 'mattress' was a memory foam topper on top of a box spring covered in a flat sheet.

Pros: the room is big, staff there are all very friendly Cons:bathroom is a bit old and dirty, noise cancellation is not enough, you will hear outside noise (people talking outside the door or the traffic in the road) I stay there only for 2 nights so it's acceptable.

Highly recommend the cafe under the hotel for morning drinks and eats - great service there, too! There were some small damaged elements in our bathroom, towels request was mis-understood, and a plunger was surprisingly not available when we called to request it (a toilet cleaner was instead offered). VERY comfortable mattresses/pillows - we slept great! Recommend "Stagger" cafe nearby for alternate on Monday when the hotel's cafe is closed.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Sketchy unprofessional hotel. I booked this place through Expedia. I arrived the night of my check in and there was no one at reception. They sent a prior email stating that check in could be anytime starting at 3pm until midnight. I arrived at 10pm and no one was there. I saw all these random guests bringing people to the motel. No security. No staff on site. I had to find another hotel last minute. They didn’t want to refund. DO NOT STAY HERE!! Pay a little extra and go somewhere nicer and where there are actual staff working at all hours.

Room was very nice while surrounding area seemed unsafe at night. Management, not staff, was very rude. I could not check out early without losing several hundreds of dollars. Management would not speak to me and hung up the phone when I tried to call then lied to travel company that they spoke to me several times. Customer service should be top priority when running a hospitality business.

I can’t recommend hometel suites enough. Before arriving I was nervous as I didn’t know much about the area and the hotel was such a great price, I thought what’s the catch. From the moment I walked through the door, I was welcomed with warm smiles and kindness from the staff. I was immediately lent an adaptor plug for my phone charger as I’d forgotten mine and told that I could keep it for the remainder of my stay. My room was spacious and immaculately clean. The hotel is situated in great location. Where you have great restaurants near by, I particularly recommend checking out the Korean bbq restaurants. There are also very good coffee shops and gyms within 5-10 mins walk. If your looking to move around L.a this is also a great location as it’s close to bus stops and a 5 minute walk away from the train stations which grants easy access to all the hotspots of the city including Hollywood. I’d also like to mention for anyone who may be wondering that koreatown is a very safe and friendly place. Thank you hometel suites for a wonderful experience on my first visit to L.a.

This hotel is old ,smell wired to us, there are so many homeless people around , they don't have much service provided that need help from the staff, check in and out are easy, a lot of dining places around within 10mins walk

Older, small hotel currently undergoing renovation and updating. Friendly and helpful staff (or proprietors?). Great central location, excellent value for money. Easy, safe self-parking at no extra cost is a big plus in this area.

Pluses - free parking included. Friendly staff. Interesting Koreatown neighborhood for walking, dining and shopping. We would stay here again. Minuses - location on a busy street. We missed access to coffee first thing in the morning (no coffeemaker or microwave in room).

Staff was great. Cute hangout lobby area. It had almost a feel of a Korean hotel if not for the clearly LA parts. Not a great place to work remote. The wifi was weak, unstable and unreliable. I know next time if I need to work, I can't stay here. The facility has been kept up by its own DIY fixes and it shows. But it works! There are nice design touches where they can add them. We were greeted with a bottle of champagne and 3 chocolates in a cute box in our room. The laundry is really nice, linens felt great. The location was the best for us for our concert at LA Convention Center and for our dining options after. We enjoyed our stay.

What this property lacks in style and upgrades it makes up for in customer service. The staff are very friendly. They have two covered parking garages and they don’t charge extra for them. The rooms are unique with extra closet space and separated shower area from sink. They are connected to a restaurant and separate coffee shop downstairs and Nextdoor to the H Hotel restaurant. Very convenient and inexpensive. I’d stay here over a pricier place just for those reasons

I liked the location and the parking was free, the main reason I chose Hometell. The room was good though it needed more electrical outlets. Good Korean restaurant on site. A decent two-star hotel. Safe area.

Stayed for 3 nights. My room seemed very clean as well as the bathroom. Which is always my main concern. Big walk-in closet although only 1 hanger which i thought was useless since i couldn't hang but 1 shirt? Nice little cafe/coffee shop in the lobby. Nice guy working there. Also nice little korean restaurant.

Highly recommend the cafe under the hotel for morning drinks and eats - great service there, too! There were some small damaged elements in our bathroom, towels request was mis-understood, and a plunger was surprisingly not available when we called to request it (a toilet cleaner was instead offered). VERY comfortable mattresses/pillows - we slept great! Recommend "Stagger" cafe nearby for alternate on Monday when the hotel's cafe is closed.

Room was clean and air conditioned, bathroom was a little funky in terms of maintaining temperature in the shower, but plenty of space for getting ready. There’s great food down stairs and near by, but area isn’t very safe and parking is unpredictable. Hotel had some parking but half the area will be close by a gate from 11pm to 6am I believe. Just makes for extra stress if you need to leave early so make sure you confirm you are parked in the right area for your needs. Staff was very accommodating when I needed to changed my reservation due to a family emergency <3

The bedding, pillows, and towels were thin/not soft. The floor felt like it had soap residue. All in all, it’s what you pay for, one of the cheapest hotels. If you’re desperate to save a bit or you didn’t drive, it’s decent.
