Booked a suite to try the Wallace hotel. Unfortunately my companions luggage broke so we had to order a new one and left the hotel 12:45 instead of 12 noon since we had to wait for an new luggage to arrive which we ordered and had delivered to the hotel. the luggage arrived 12:25. The guy in the front desk then charged my card $180 for 45 mins extra stay. They dint even email or tell me anything they just charged it and I got a text message so I called the hotel and said what was this he said he dint authorize anything past 12. I understand they dint but $180 for 45 mins is crazy. I said if he could reverse it he said no so I just put the phone down. The next day I check my card the guy in the front desk increased the charge to $230. I don't know how a hotel can keep charging like that without informing you or emailing you about an extra charge. If I don't check my app I would not have known about it. They don't email you any bill after. I am both a marriott and hilton gold member so I travel a lot for leisure over 50 days a year with those 2 hotels and never had any issues. First time I tried to go out of their system and this is what happens. Also the chains email you a bill after so you know and they just keep charging to your card without informing you!
