The Victorian Inn is a wonderful and charming hotel in the heart of Ferndale, CA. It is set right in town, close to dining and shopping options. It's a period hotel, so don't expect a modern look, that's not what they do. I would also suggest packing light. There isn't an elevator (or we never found one) and rooms are on the second floor. Take advantage of the grab-and-go breakfast- it's a nice touch.

A quaint hotel in a quaint, quiet town. Great service and a very comfortable room and environment, including a large shared meal space upstairs in the room area for coffee/food storage and socializing. The room was very nice and included a sitting area and all the amenities needed for a nice stay.

Loved everything about Ferndale and the Inn. If there was one thing I was not thrilled about it was taking my luggage up the stairs to our room, no elevator. But hey the overall experience was worth it.

The room was wonderful and bedding was great. Beautiful well maintained/restored historic property at the edge of a cute little town. Unfortunately midweek, the on-site restaurant and pub were closed, but there were a couple other options down the street. Absolutely delightful staff, very pleasant and accommodating.

The Victorian Inn is well preserved and we were very impressed with our lovely room. The newly opened reataurant served quality food that was clearly made from scratch. The next time we are in the area we will stay there again, probably for a couple of nights so we can spend more time exploring the beautiful town of Fernale.

The owners were wonderful. Very accommodating to our little family’s special needs, no extra charges, and as friendly as can be. Food at the restaurant was great, and the bar was beautiful.

Beautiful Victorian Building, there is no daily housekeeping, which annoys me, I don’t go away on holidays to do house work. Most hotels tend to this :-( the breakfast is a box to go, includes, yogurt Croissant cheese muesli bar butter and jam… Fruit would have been a though

The person that checked us in was friendly. We stayed in room 205 which was a little small but the massively high ceiling made it seem a lot bigger. The bathroom was huge and clean. The sheets on the bed were incredibly soft and the bed was comfortable. The building itself is very cool and has historic photos everywhere. We ate dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. Best Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich I’ve ever had.

Beautiful place in a very quaint small town. We were there for only one night, as this was one of our stops during a trip down PCH. This hotel is definitely a centerpiece in the small town of Ferndale. I wish we had more time to just stay and relax. The room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. If we ever have a chance to return to the area, we will definitely try to stay at the Victorian Inn.

The owners/managers are very nice. But: - Everything in the village closes around 7-8pm. Totally quite and dark after that. -The restroom was poorly cleaned (un-flushed toilet). Staffs may forgot to check it - It would be better if they at least give customers a dish of breakfast (instead of handing out a plastic box), and open the dining room for breakfast (instead of asking customers to sit in a dark bar with so sun)

For an old Victorian, it was wonderful. Big gap under the door for the adjoining room and there was a snorer that occupied the room. I tried to shove a Towel under the door to close the gap but like most Victorians the walls and doors were thin.. Still loved the property and would recommend it when in Ferndale.

Ferndale and the Victorian Inn are magical. The Inn is beautiful and authentically Victorian. Original decor lends to a warm and cozy ambiance. Our room was spectacular: Beautiful, comfortable and cozy. The owners are friendly and very accommodating. There was no problem helping us with our heavy suitcase! The continental breakfast was delicious with the best coffee I have ever had. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Simple rooms in a tasteful environment in keeping with grand vibe of the place. While this was a bit off the beaten path from our trip down 101, its absolutely worth the small diversion. This hotel is charming, accomodating, historic and pretty comfortable. The continental breakfast was also great. The town is absolutely charming and we wish we arrived for dinner and if it was just my wife and I, go to a few of the bars on the street. Also worth walking around to view the victorian homes and cemetery!

Beautiful place in a very quaint small town. We were there for only one night, as this was one of our stops during a trip down PCH. This hotel is definitely a centerpiece in the small town of Ferndale. I wish we had more time to just stay and relax. The room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. If we ever have a chance to return to the area, we will definitely try to stay at the Victorian Inn.

The owners/managers are very nice. But: - Everything in the village closes around 7-8pm. Totally quite and dark after that. -The restroom was poorly cleaned (un-flushed toilet). Staffs may forgot to check it - It would be better if they at least give customers a dish of breakfast (instead of handing out a plastic box), and open the dining room for breakfast (instead of asking customers to sit in a dark bar with so sun)

The person that checked us in was friendly. We stayed in room 205 which was a little small but the massively high ceiling made it seem a lot bigger. The bathroom was huge and clean. The sheets on the bed were incredibly soft and the bed was comfortable. The building itself is very cool and has historic photos everywhere. We ate dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. Best Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich I’ve ever had.

The Victorian Inn is well preserved and we were very impressed with our lovely room. The newly opened reataurant served quality food that was clearly made from scratch. The next time we are in the area we will stay there again, probably for a couple of nights so we can spend more time exploring the beautiful town of Fernale.

Such a great stay in Ferndale at this lovely historic property. Our room was spacious and the bed super comfortable. Dinner specials of prime rib and lamb lollipops —delicious. Wonderful stay—we highly recommend the Victorian Inn.

Probably the coolest place we’ve ever spent the night. Loved the history of the building and the restaurant was just darling. Didn’t get to eat there tho because for some reason they are closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays(I believe those are the days). Was actually very disappointed about that but no worries we ate down the street at the Mexican restaurant which was very good! Just absolutely the cutest place!
