The cows outside of the hotel were a wonderful surprise! They had several little nooks to hang out in instead of staying in your room. It was very cozy!

This place is amazing! I’m from California so I don’t know if this is really a hidden gem but it’s definitely worth a stay if you find yourself looking for a place while road-tripping around Iceland. The staff is super friendly and we were able to utilize the kitchen and lounge area at our own convenience. They also offer laundry service which was something we were looking for but didn’t know if we’d be able to find. 10/10 would recommend

The staff were so welcoming and kept the kitchen open for us. Wonderful ice cream. Good breakfast service. Dinner options are limited but it was fine. Liked the room a lot, with a couch to sit on and nice seventies vibe. Super comfortable beds too. Lots of pleasant sitting areas around the hotel. The place has real personal touches and we were sad to leave.

We got a room on the main floor with a terrace and it was very clean and comfortable and spacious! The breakfast options were fantastic and the homemade ice cream and milk from the farm cows was delicious. The staff were very helpful and made checking in and out easy.

The facecloth was nice & thick. The bath towel was old & worn well. The bedding also needs a refresh. I did not shower there, as open shower soaks toilet & sink area. Food was excellent & service fantastic.

There is no shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathroom, which is so common nowadays, and no kettle. Ask the reception-in duty if I can borrow a kettle to use it in our room and he asked me to go into basement kitchen to do it yourself. The wifi supposed to be included, the connection is the worst that I can think of. Even I tried to use my own data, there is slow connection to none. Not worth the money spent, would never recommend this guesthouse to anyone.

Can’t beat the glacier view at this place. It’s basically a small hotel on a farm. There are cows and tractors. Breakfast was good and they have dinner, but we went to Hofn for dinner. The room vibe is what I would consider to be Soviet Industrial Chic. Very bland and a really weird lacquered pebble floor. It was clean and the staff was very welcoming. I would stay here again, but the price is a little high for what you get, but limited supply in this area allows for a higher price point.

Everything was great except you can’t open the windows more than an inch. If you are facing north and it’s sunny the room will heat up and it’s impossible to cool it down. Other than that, super comfortable. Big, spacious room and the food for dinner was delicious. The ice cream is great. Don’t bother ordering an espresso drink in the morning. The regular coffee was good.

The property was located off Ring Road. My son and I got a large room that was very clean and had a porch, the only issue was the room was located by the main desk and breakfast area and in the morning it was loud with people eating breakfast and walking through at 7/8 am.

It’s difficult to find a room in Iceland that allows more than 2 people. We were traveling with our 6 year old, and I was happy to find Brunnholl Guest House. The family rooms were modern and spacious, and I appreciated that each bed had an outlet by it for charging. The view of the glacier from our room was incredible. The breakfast spread was excellent. They make their own ice cream on site, and it was tasty.

Unfortunately we were placed in 203 which opens to the reception area so you hear EVERYTHING from your room. Impossible to sleep before 10:30 ( reception area closes at 10). We can’t even leave our room between 10pm-7am unless we go out our slider and there is no way to lock the slider after leaving.

The property is good, however the front desk lady is super annoying. We asked her something twice as we could not understand her accent initially and she got frustrated. The hotel mentions shared cooking area but it is a lie as there is no stove, just kettle fridge and microwave. We checked in late and had taken some food to cook, when we asked her where we can cook, she was super arrogant in replying that there is no kitchen and you need to figure out. I know I need to figure out but why lie on your listing that there is kitchen to cook. Overall experience was poor because of the front desk lady.

We arrived at this property when it was misty and rainy. It was such a pleasant surprise to see the 2 nearby glaciers the next day. It was quiet, peaceful and relaxing which is what we wanted. All but one staff member we encountered were very nice and helpful. That one staff member had an attitude that her job was beneath her and it showed in how she dealt with the guests.

In the middle of nowhere with an amazing vista of three glacier legs, the guest house offers a nice relaxing accommodation. The guest house offers sitting corners that distinguished it from a more traditional hotel. Overall the guest house team has been responsive and effective.

This was a really nice place. Its in the middle of nowhere, which is perhaps exactly what you want in Iceland. The Resturant was good and had more options than other places. The rooms were modern, clean, and spacious. There was a nice common area, and the internet was good. A very nice stay and I would recommend it to anyone.

What a beautiful setting at Brunnholl. I have never had a view of a glacier from my window ! Then you can observe the numerous cows on the property. Clean rooms and environment.

We got a room on the main floor with a terrace and it was very clean and comfortable and spacious! The breakfast options were fantastic and the homemade ice cream and milk from the farm cows was delicious. The staff were very helpful and made checking in and out easy.

This was a really nice place. Its in the middle of nowhere, which is perhaps exactly what you want in Iceland. The Resturant was good and had more options than other places. The rooms were modern, clean, and spacious. There was a nice common area, and the internet was good. A very nice stay and I would recommend it to anyone.

Can’t beat the glacier view at this place. It’s basically a small hotel on a farm. There are cows and tractors. Breakfast was good and they have dinner, but we went to Hofn for dinner. The room vibe is what I would consider to be Soviet Industrial Chic. Very bland and a really weird lacquered pebble floor. It was clean and the staff was very welcoming. I would stay here again, but the price is a little high for what you get, but limited supply in this area allows for a higher price point.

This was our 3rd place in Iceland and it was a tad disappointing. Breakfast was just ok. Not alot of selection. The floors in the rooms were odd. They were concrete-like with texture to them and not kind on the feet. The beds were a little uncomfortable. I didn't mind the accommodations but thought it was overpriced for what we got. This was our most expensive stay all trip but definitely not the nicest. The staff was nice. We ended up having to eat dinner there one night and the food was ok (sheep/lamb/veggies and my husband had fish), vegetable soup was very good and ice cream was good. But it was so expensive. $100 for both. We were prepared for expensive food but expected better quality. We would stay again if it wasn't so expensive.

Everything was great except you can’t open the windows more than an inch. If you are facing north and it’s sunny the room will heat up and it’s impossible to cool it down. Other than that, super comfortable. Big, spacious room and the food for dinner was delicious. The ice cream is great. Don’t bother ordering an espresso drink in the morning. The regular coffee was good.

We took the south route from Reykjavik and stayed at Brunnhóll. Staff, food, accommodations were all great. Farm fresh ice cream also a big hit. Will stay there on next trip to Iceland.

The room was VERY basic (There were 2 glasses and worn towels in the room. Nothing else. Not even a water kettle.) and breakfast was not as good compared to other hotels we stayed at in Iceland. This hotel is overpriced and turned out to be our least favorite hotel.

Hidden gem! Conveniently located close to the ring road and we loved the spacious rooms. The hotel also had nice community areas, such as a kitchen and kids playground. The staff was helpful and friendly. We wish we planned more time at this lovely property!
