Great location in central Charleston. Close to everything. Big, open room. Parkings available at several places around (for a fee). The only negative with the place is the steep narrow stairs. But that is on us due to heavy, big bags. Great spot.

Property has a very homey feel to it. This place has a very cozy feel. Parking wasn't bad. It's unfortunate that there isn't a place to park on the premises but it was manageable. The lot that is about 2 blocks away is reasonable but it is an extra cost to those who stay here. It was a very hot day checking in so the room was a tad warm. The AC works, it just tastes it a bit to get nice and cool. It is an old house so I don't believe it's insulated very well. It was a nice place to stay for a night or two.

Sufficient options for a light but satisfying breakfast, perfect before a day of walking to historic homes, eateries and shops. Daily, open air parking lot just across the street, or around the block for a parking garage. We are glad we chose the Bijou.

Perfect location. Parking lot across street. Nice cafe across street. Next to a carriage house. Easy walk to great restaurants, tours of various types, shopping, and a local grocery store. We didn’t need a car during our entire stay. Lobby has excellent coffee and espresso available, as well as fruit, yogurt, pastries, cereal, ect. Everything about this property contributed to a wonderful stay in Charleston.

This is what I picture Charleston to be when staying in-town. BIJOU was perfectly quaint and traditional while having the appropriate modern flares. Perfectly located to City Market and the carriage tours. The courtesy room with treats and little breakfast bites was a perfect touch. I just wish they had some parking - had to use the pricey pay lot across the street - but understood the town is limited in that regard. WILL STAY AGAIN!

We loved this place. Excellent staff, very clean, wonderful location. Loved the gas fireplace! Wished they had directions on how to use the 2 tv remotes. Never did figure that out. We never asked for help either, so that’s on us. The house is very old and quaint. I give it such a high review because the mattress was soooo comfy and those sheets…. I have never slept on sheets of this quality before….wow. What a lovely stay we had!

We loved our stay at Bijou! The room was clean and the service was amazing. Overall, the location was good. It was close to king street, market street and many good bars and restaurants. Our only problem was the inn was in between two horse tour barns so outside the inn smelled bad from the horses. However, there was no smell inside the room or the lobby. Overall amazing stay and we would come back.

Our only problem was the inn was in between two horse tour barns so outside the inn smelled bad from the horses. However, there was no smell inside the room or the lobby. This is a very old building and we really loved the location. Everything we wanted to do was very walkable. The property is having some repairs done to the stairs up to the second floor which was good to see. The cleanliness of the tile and fixtures in the bath could use a bit more tlc. Loved the big tester bed and mattress was very comfortable.

The location of this inn was EXCELLENT! It was within 10 minutes walking distance from the areas major attractions- City Market (around the corner), Carriage Tours (next door), King Street, and Rainbow Row. Plus, tons of local restaurants. (Cru Cafe-right across the street, yummy!)The area beach (Folly Beach)was also accessible by Uber (30 minutes). The inn has a lot of charm that you would expect in Charleston but requires a little TLC. The cleanliness was okay. The bathroom could have been cleaner, but the "living area" was nice, and the bed was super comfortable. The"breakfast" was not appealing.

The inn is adorable and quaint. It’s an old Charleston single. But if you have trouble with stairs, you wouldn’t want to book the upper rooms. The staircase is narrow and steep. Also it’s not the most quiet as it’s situated in a busy area, but no worries, just use the white noise machine they provide or bring your own personal fan like we did.

Very convenient. 200 yards from The Old Market. Carriages and walking tours around the corner. Excellent variety of great restaurants an easy walk away. Teeter Harris grocery store just down the street on East Bay for liquor, fresh salads, prepared foods, snacks, etc. when you just want a quick light lunch. Did this for a picnic lunch on Kiawah beaches. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very nice assortment for continental breakfast. Bed was VERY comfortable! Great time! Loved Charleston!

Excellent location! Charming old Charleston house converted to boutique hotel and it was perfect! The only complaint was hearing other guests but no one was up late or too loud. The city was also surprisingly peaceful and quiet at night. I was there for business but would stay here on a romantic or friends weekend for sure!

The hotel is located in a great spot, very close to everything in the downtown historic area. The AC situation in the room was not the best, I understand it’s an old building but… all in all it is a good place for the price.

The absolute best part about this hotel was the location. Everything is within walking distance but still a nice quiet location . Steps from horse carriages, the market, sightseeing , shopping and dining. The hotel had character and everything you could want. Great breakfast with homemade banana and lemon blueberry loaf as well as cereals, yogurt, croissants, coffee, tea, etc. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed and bedding I’ve ever experienced. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommended.

My husband and I arrived in Charleston for a Christmas week vacation away from NYC during the deep freeze of late December 2022. Like many others, we had a problem related to the harsh weather and massive flight cancellations. The lovely women of Bijou Boutique were so generous, helpful and kind! I’ll always remember and be grateful to them — they saved our vacation.

The absolute best part about this hotel was the location. Everything is within walking distance but still a nice quiet location . Steps from horse carriages, the market, sightseeing , shopping and dining. The hotel had character and everything you could want. Great breakfast with homemade banana and lemon blueberry loaf as well as cereals, yogurt, croissants, coffee, tea, etc. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed and bedding I’ve ever experienced. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommended.

The location of this inn was EXCELLENT! It was within 10 minutes walking distance from the areas major attractions- City Market (around the corner), Carriage Tours (next door), King Street, and Rainbow Row. Plus, tons of local restaurants. (Cru Cafe-right across the street, yummy!)The area beach (Folly Beach)was also accessible by Uber (30 minutes). The inn has a lot of charm that you would expect in Charleston but requires a little TLC. The cleanliness was okay. The bathroom could have been cleaner, but the "living area" was nice, and the bed was super comfortable. The"breakfast" was not appealing.

Very charming Inn. Cozy and comfy accommodations. Built in 1861 and retains its charm. Felt a lot like home. Breakfast was adequate and we appreciated access to the snacks and beverages 24 hrs a day. We stayed 3 days and were provided plenty of fresh towels which we needed due to hot weather and several showers. The room was cool and we couldn’t hear much noise from outside except the occasional Horse and buggy. The inn is situated between two stables, wasn’t an issue for us. Thanks Bijou Inn for the fabulous accommodation.

Perfect location. Parking lot across street. Nice cafe across street. Next to a carriage house. Easy walk to great restaurants, tours of various types, shopping, and a local grocery store. We didn’t need a car during our entire stay. Lobby has excellent coffee and espresso available, as well as fruit, yogurt, pastries, cereal, ect. Everything about this property contributed to a wonderful stay in Charleston.

Very convenient. 200 yards from The Old Market. Carriages and walking tours around the corner. Excellent variety of great restaurants an easy walk away. Teeter Harris grocery store just down the street on East Bay for liquor, fresh salads, prepared foods, snacks, etc. when you just want a quick light lunch. Did this for a picnic lunch on Kiawah beaches. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very nice assortment for continental breakfast. Bed was VERY comfortable! Great time! Loved Charleston!

We loved our stay at BIJOU!! It was such a cute historic building with so much character. It was very well maintained and we were especially big fans of the jetted tub in the Indigo room. It was incredibly conveniently located and the staff was very helpful with making parking easy! It was nice to be able to walk downtown without having to find a place to park! We would definitely stay here again!
