Hotel bonito, moderno, afastado da vila. Vista do lago eu nao vi porque estava nevando muito. Quarto grande e banheiro grande o que é raro na Islandia. Café da manhã otimo. Faltou um academia mas poucos hoteis na Islandia tem. Deveria ter um hot tub.

Hotel is a ways from any dining or grocery options (groceries at the gas station), about 26 minutes. Not far from hiking (crater Hverfjall) and the lava fields (Dimmuborgir), about 45 minutes to Hverir and Krafla (Viti crater). Great scenic views from the hotel lounge. Dinner not served till 6pm, and no other options on site till then. Breakfast was included and had all the necessities. This is a hotel heavily frequented by tour and bus groups, so expect busy times at the restaurant. We found the food would have been much improved if it didn’t have so much rich sauce (arctic char), and so much cheese (lobster pasta). Rooms are comfortable and clean, it would be nice to have had a small fridge (but this doesn’t seem to be a thing in this country). Passing the laundry room en route to the rooms, afforded the sulfuric smells redolent of the thermal plants up the hill. Overall a comfortable stay.

Beutiful hotel and room, greate service and very good breakfast. One downside was the cleanliness, there were hairs on the sheets and it looked like they haven't been changed. They quickly changed the sheets and apologized.

We enjoyed our brief stay at this surprisingly large, beautifully appointed hotel. The front desk staff was exceedingly patient and helpful in answering our questions and providing advice. It was fun to poke around the various common areas on the different levels of the hotel. In addition to a fancy hotel restaurant, the hotel has separate, quiet bar area. Our room was exceedingly clean and comfortable. Nice bathroom with great shower. Excellent breakfast buffet (included in room rate) with lots of delicious options (even fruit!), all beautifully presented and regularly replenished. An expensive area to visit (Mývatn attracts a lot of tourists), but this hotel is definite recommend.

Absolutely fantastic. The views from the property were stunning, and that's not even considering the northern lights, which we were lucky enough to see as well. The property is well-maintained, comfortable, aesthetically pleasing. Wish we were still there :)

Terrific restaurant and the location is perfect as a base tow colors the Myvatn area.. Rooms are spartan.. on par with an upscale backpackers hostel. Bathroom is also sparse and small - though water pressure and temperature is excellent.

Overall is good, but the night/reading lights mounted just at the wall above the head of the bed, where is danger to hurt your head when I try to get up from the bed. Those lights with metal-made fixture at sharp edges or square shape should not put there.

I loved the hotel itself but it unfortunately doesnt have a any air conditioning so it was uncomfortably hot and trying to open the window was a little tedious to say the least but other than that it was a great stay and really enjoyed it, the staff was one of the best ive seen in my many travels as well and deserve a raise!

Not worth the money! Die Standardzimmer befinden sich im älteren Trakt des Hotels. Die Fenster sind in keinem guten Zustand. Die Dusche ist so eng, dass sie maximal für Kinder geeignet ist. Auch das Zimmer ist winzig.

Hotel was great! Had a seating area near the bar to relax. They offer a door knock/wake up service until 2300 for northern lights! Hotel staff was very nice and helpful upon checking in and out. Weather was bad when leaving and assisted. Great breakfast!

Absolutely lovely hotel, staff were amazing, room was amazing. Very happy all round with this hotel, would definitely recommend to stay here. They even have a wake up call for the aurora, which we were very lucky enough to see the lights.

This is a great parking around myvatan. Clean, nice and good breakfast. Only thing is the parking and the walk to hotel can be slippery, as the temperature drops below zero in morning and late evenings from September onwards. Also as this is in middle of nowhere, except good views nothing else to do.
