The rooms vary in layout and features from a simple beds with microwave and fridge to a full on kitchen. I like the white cotton bed coverings. It’s very affordable. This is not a corporate motel. It has a bit of a funky edge which gives it character. Beds are comfortable, water is hot, showerheads deliver a nice water pressure. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I feel safe here. It’s usually pretty quiet. Wi-Fi is reliable. My only pet peeve is the popup air fresheners, which is a personal preference. I just set them outside the door. Coming and going to Goldendale the mountains are so beautiful. It’s a great place to stop and refresh.

The room was much nicer than I had anticipated from the outside. Nicely equipped .Only lacking in one area... there was a full kitchen, with everything you need to cook. Plus dishes. However, no eating utensils.

Nice little Motel, we had a suite with kitchenette and a nice seating area. Nice clean room and a great breakfast in the mornings. The location was good, with a Market just down the street and close to town. All the staff we met were friendly. I do geocaching and found a little park just about a tenth of a mile away so it was a nice walk over there to let the dogs run and many places to visit nearby like the Stonehenge WW1 Memorial just about 15 minutes away. We would definitely stay here again.

The room has been updated but it still looks a bit “tired” BUT it has a great kitchen with a full size stove and fridge. I was just there for the night but it is great to know for the future. The person who checked me in was very nice and changed my room from the 2nd floor to ground level which I appreciated. The best part was complimentary breakfast. They actually cooked the eggs, sausage and potatoes on site and didn’t use frozen precooked “hot” food. They had a great selection of cold breakfast options along with juice, tea and coffee. The breakfast made this motel a great value. I will definitely stay again.

We had a 2 queen bed room, it was like a suite with a bedroom, the space was very generous with a kitchenette that has a stove, sink, pots and eating utensils. Quartz Countertop looks new, we saw a stain on the bedsheet, they provide makeup remover but no shampoo, so always bring your own soap and shampoo if you are the sensitive type but overall pretty clean.

There were small ants everywhere in the room. Several lights did not work. The TV did not work. Housekeeping came in while I was changing into my pants and it was not checkout time yet. No snack machine on site. The soda machine only accepted dollar bills. No one was at the counter at checkout to complain to. This place is not worth the price!!! Save your money and go down the street to the quality Inn!!!!

For a cheap motel in a small town, this was about as good as it gets. Clean carpet, comfortable bed with clean sheets and good pillows, lots of clean towels. The bathroom sink and countertop were brand new (unexpected)....the toilet and bathtub were old but entirely adequate. The window curtains were ripped and the AC unit looked like it was on its last legs but worked well. Quiet overnight, big breakfast offered (though standard continental stuff, and not all of it fresh). Overall, slept great and was very satisfied for $80.

I checked in at 2:18pm and came back at 9:30 room was not cleaned dog hair everywhere the beds were not made a used condom on the bathroom floor the door was wide open and the windows were open so screens fought bugs the 2 days we were there worst experience ever

Bathroom was pretty dirty around the tub, toilet and floor. The remote for the window heater was just filthy with dirty fingerprints. The tv remote was also dirty. If you're worried about the flu or covid, don't stay here. Nothing was sanitized.

We have a big family so it was great to have multiple beds in the spacious room and lots of seating. We also appreciate the full buffet breakfast with eggs and waffles included in the great price and the staff being so friendly and accommodating. Thank you for a great stay!

This is a reasonably priced place with breakfast included. It’s older and has noisy air conditioning but if you turn it off the area is quiet. The market across the street had amazing produce and well stocked . The staff are very nice. Shower could have been better, low pressure.

Okay for the price. The room was very spacious but the TV didn’t work and the beds were horribly squeaky. The queen bed was slanted downwards at the headboard so very uncomfortable and the metal bunk beds were so squeaky they woke everyone up all night. Breakfast wasn’t great either. All the fruit was rotten and hot items were extremely u appetizing.

Very comfortable room and bed. The only downside was the A/C unit, which had tiny buttons with all the labels worn off so it was hard to figure out how to turn it on and adjust it. Very reasonably priced room!

It was ok, in dire need of some updates. The staff was great in that they were able to move us to a down stairs location, but the bed was horrible in that the mattress was old and lumpy and had a valley in the middle. The set up was strange in that if you wanted to watch the television you needed to move furniture to be able to view it. The cabinets door on the bathroom vanity was broken. Also there was someone in the parking lot that was rebuilding the inside of their work van. Staff did not look as professional as the pictures in the ad showed and the internet was not great and wasn’t any better after it was down and they said they were replacing the routers. The air conditioning was old and loud. The nice thing about it was the location to get to places in the area.

The hotel was clean enough. It’s better than some at that price. The problem was that the heat didn’t work in our first room-no problem, we were quickly switched to an upgraded suite. Unfortunately, it was next to the breakfast room. At midnight or so there was very loud banging and noise as workers prepared for the next day’s breakfast. This probably lasted 40 min, the resumed again at 5:30 am. Very-thin walls, apparently. Just don’t get room 317 unless you don’t plan to sleep. Btw-the breakfast was much better than expected.

Staff who checked me in ignored me while she talked on phone answering several calls and never adking anyone to hold, including manager. Then gave me key to room already occupied. She blamed Expedia for error and argued with me when I said she should have known room was already occupied. Finally got key to available room, and manager came by soon after to apologize.

This was worth the drive from I-84. The breakfast was hot, had OJ, good coffee, real 1/2 and 1/2. The motel is being upgraded. There was lots of wear on the first room and it had the smell of some sort of perfume that made us both sick, like walking down the detergent aisle at Walmart, but the manager transferred us to a terrific upstairs room that we loved, especially for the value.

I made reservations to stay at the Ponderosa Motel last week. When we arrived it was getting dark, and the front office was locked, so we rang the bell and waited. Nobody came. Finally, thinking maybe the employee or owner had a heart attack or something, we called the police. They came and entered the back door. The dude was sleeping or passed out and not answering. After the police left, it took him another 15 minutes to come to the office and he never said a word about it or apologized. So weird and unprofessional. Had we not called the police, we likely would have been with nowhere to stay. Do not book this hotel.

This is our second stay here. Just like our previous stay everything was clean and well done, the multiple bunk bed room was perfect for our larger family, and the breakfast is Awesome! Everyone was super friendly too!

Horrible experience ! Called to check on room status at 230 was told room would be ready on an hour but room was still not ready at 6pm. Then double charged for room . Staff was complaining about having to clean room. This location use to be very clean and friendly not sure what happened .

They were unable to provide a room to me. The receptionist gave me plastic cards for three different rooms, neither of room has electronic lock. All metal keys were missing. No manager was at the size, reportedly the manager was fired earlier that day. Finally (after an hour of this boring nightmare) I just went to another motel. Yet have to get my money back because the room was paid in advance.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Building is older and many little aspects not kept up—door numbers falling off, moldy caulking in showers, sink drains broken… the place has great potential and a cool history. Sad to see it not kept up.

Poor poor management. I booked this place 3 weeks ago. I drove 5 hours and my kids are tired. I get there and the room was canceled. Not one person called me. Management didn’t call anyone that had a room. Everyone was sent away. How crappy is that on a holiday weekend in a town with only two motels. Will never book here again and this was my first time booking here.

we went to Goldendale Observatory park, the ponderosa motel is on the way and close, it is very convenient for us go out at night for star gazing. The room is clean and neat. the kitchen is good, and room is quiet. the only complain I have the bed is too soft.

This is our third or fourth stay here. Check in for our 3 night stay was fine. Room in nice condition, but two deficiencies: 1) Security latch was broken off and did not work. 2) Deadbolt difficult to work. Called and asked for 2 extra pillows in the morning. Never delivered by nightfall,had to call again. Be aware of the breakfast hours; they have been shortened. Also, they were out of sausage with 20 minutes left before the end of breakfast. Grocery store across the street and a short walk to downtown. Near the Observatory. Overall, a decent stay but we may try another property for our next stay.

We are very pleased with our accommodations. We arrived at night and we were a little concerned that because the place was a bit away from the town centre that the place will not be very nice, but we were pleasantly surprised at the newly renovated units. Tina at reception was very kind and helpful, and directed us to the grocery store a block away that was still open. Our unit had a kitchenette so we were able to make dinner. We had a very comfortable sleep, the pillows and bed covers are welcome after an 8-hr drive. We almost overslept, but glad that we got to eat a very sumptuous hot breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were to die for! Plus there’s hash, and sausage, and waffles galore! We enjoyed our meal at the patio, but missed the deer known to roam the area (maybe because of the rain). This place is worth the drive and definitely the stay, even for our pug. Thanks!

Okay for the price. The room was very spacious but the TV didn’t work and the beds were horribly squeaky. The queen bed was slanted downwards at the headboard so very uncomfortable and the metal bunk beds were so squeaky they woke everyone up all night. Breakfast wasn’t great either. All the fruit was rotten and hot items were extremely u appetizing.

The walls are crazy thin so we got zero sleep as people kept walkibg around and banging all night long. Also breakfast closes at 9am and by 7:50am there was zero breakfast left. Apart from a couple rotten/brown bananas
