Overall, our stay was good. All the staff we had contact with were friendly and helpful. The room was well equipped and clean. Hotel was well situated for walking to places we wanted to go to. Unable to book a car parking place but fortunately we found one on JustPark which was much cheaper anyway. As we were staying for 2 nights we were happy to use the same towels and hung them up (as requested by the sign in the room) rather than leaving them on the floor to be changed. They were all changed, so not very eco-friendly! We didn’t enjoy the breakfast very much. The bacon was fairly tasteless. There was no choice of eggs and the scrambled eggs weren’t nice - possibly powdered eggs were used? Bread was cheap. Potato things weren’t very good. Tea bags were weak and there was no option to have skimmed/semi-skimmed milk. Although there was plenty of other milks for cereal. It was quite busy when we went for breakfast. Some large tables were being used by single people or couples. It might be helpful if staff could seat people at appropriately sized tables during busy times? It was really convenient to have the bar to use when we got back late in the evening. Also an adequate food menu - nothing fancy, but that’s all you want really! The staff were lovely. I’m unsure about the charge, because I was charged £180 for booking but my bill from the hotel when we checked out was only £153. Overall, I would stay there again.

Eveything very good, especially breakfast and friendly staff, except the parking. Tiny parking area to drive around - absolute nightmare. Much cheaper, more spacious, 24 hour car parks within 2 mins walk.

Easy parking (albeit a touch pricey), friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room with excellent bathroom. The location provides easy access to shows at the city hall and our room was really well priced. Thoroughly recommended!

Stay was overall great, car park is not good though, ridiculously narrow throughout, also would’ve been good to know the extensive roadworks happening right in front of the entrance to the hotel.

Rooms are nice enough, breakfast was a bit chaotic with some inconsiderate guests taking handfuls of fruit - 8 bananas in once case. Gym is ok but is swelteringly hot - please fix the aircon in there.

Good value for money especially with the buffet breakfast included in the price, staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy, i would definitely stay again. I have read other reviews that some people found parking tricky but i didn’t have a problem, plenty of space. £15 for 24 hrs parking which i didn’t mind paying. All in all i would recommend. Other bonus is it’s only a short walk to the main town where there’s choice of places to eat but far enough away that you don’t have the bustling noise.

Excellent customer service from check in to check out. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are a very good standard .....well furnished and beautiful bathroom. Enjoyed the delicious breakfast. Access to the property was a bit difficult due to the roadworks going on around the building. Parking spaces were a bit limited at times and the access to the building from the car park to the hotel was difficult due to issues with the security door.

Our room was a bit dingy, not much natural light and the cleanliness could be improved- there were fingerprints all over the headboard and wardrobe door/ side panel. The lamp shade was cracked and the shampoo dispenser had leaked all over the shower tray.

Our room was spotless. The bathroom was clean but not the WC - someone had used the toilet, flushed but clearly didn’t check afterwards. Found a cleaner in the corridor who sorted it. Didn’t really feel comfortable in the room afterwards so fortunately only a 1 night stay. I will compliment the staff friendliness & a very good breakfast & coffee. (Avoided using complimentary tea/coffee in our room). My wife spoke to the very pleasant manager but was too embarrassed to mention our ‘arrival’ gift.

All of the staff from reception, bar, housekeeping and particularly the catering team were genuinely friendly and considerate. The hotel was very clean and breakfast was great. Very well stocked and tables cleared quickly. I’d definitely stay again.

Lovely hotel, very modern, very friendly staff. We stayed in a twin room, one of the beds was a sofa bed which was very hard and uncomfortable. Room was a good size, if you have to work the room even had an office type chair, plus loads of plug sockets. Best buffet breakfast had in a hotel in Sheffield.

The bed was squeaky. I was woken in the night and the morning by the lift. Our room was right next to the life. I mentioned it to the receptionist on the way put and she said ah ok. Well actually it wasnt ok. Never staying there again.

We had a one night stay and it was very good from start to finish, staff were amazingly helpful and very welcoming nothing was no trouble...........the cleanliness of the room was excellent, but I found the bed uncomfortable 😣 it felt a bit lumpy............ Breakfast was lovely. On a whole we had an excellent stay and would definitely use again.

I would have said that this hotel was okay - not great but doable however when I had their breakfast on day two, it made me sick. I avoided the breakfast on the next day and was fine. Also, I had requested for a late check out time (1pm) - when I got to my room at 12.30 I saw that the room was made up and my notes and food and drink that I purchased that morning for my long travel ahead had been disposed of! I complained to the front desk and they pretty much shrugged their shoulders and just said that the cleaner probably did not realise the late check out on the system. This was really annoying and disappointing which is why I am not rating this location highly.

A brilliant hotel. Lovely breakfast - just hot food could be improved with mushrooms, grilled tomatoes and hash browns needed! Check out lady was rude to us and the couple behind, but otherwise all other staff were helpful, happy and lovely! Would recommend!

No complaints at all with the hotel. I don’t usually leave reviews but felt the lovely staff at this hotel were well worth a mention. Every single member of staff we encountered from the reception team to the breakfast staff to the cleaners were all so friendly and cheerful - it really makes a difference to your stay.

This is a good hotel made excellent by the friendly, attentive, professional and fun front of house staff. Nothing was to much trouble. In fact hats off to all the staff. They were all incredible. The rooms are big, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The air-con was icy cold on a hot August day. The bathrooms are modern with a powerful hot shower. Ironing boards and irons in every room. Centrally located. Breakfast was included in the price and plentiful. Hot, cold, fresh waffles, fabulous. We stopped for 2 nights for my son’s wedding at Kelham Island and these guys made the run up and the following morning so hassle free. There were 4 generations of our family stopping and we all agreed our stay was perfect.

So glad we stayed here again and not the Travel lodge as it was poles apart in standard from what we saw of our friends rooms. However the roadworks are still there a year on and navigating the road closures by car was not easy.

The hotel itself is great. Parking small and very very tight but I found a paid space no issues. Room comfortable and clean and the hotel breakfast is brilliant with loads of choice. Walk to centre was only short 10 minute walk with the only downside to the trip being the immediate locality of the hotel is not nice and very run down. Overall cracking value and would make me want to stay here again.

Fantastic staff: very friendly and attentive. Modern, light interior decor and room spacious and quiet(on top floor). Bathroom a bit different in design but ok)Lovely comfortable bed. However don't eat in the hotel of an evening as food substandard for what you pay. (This doesn't include breakfast which was fine, melon fruit salad especiallyappreciated!) All in all a lovely stay

The hotel itself is centrally located and staff very pleasant. Breakfast was a busy buffet but very tasty and fairly well organised. However the problem is the restaurant. We were very disappointed that there was no restaurant available. We were told at checkin that food was served until 10pm. We were also handed a sheet of paper stating this. We returned to the hotel at 8:30pm as planned, expecting to eat in the restaurant. We were told that there was no food available other than pizzas. We ordered pizzas, they were edible but not nice.
