AC Hotel by Marriott Bethesda Downtown

Gym was really, really nice. We used it every day.

Nice, new hotel. Very modern and the gym is top notch which includes a Peloton room with four bikes!

Had the best stay!! Staff were super friendly and attentive. The hotel was beautiful and clean. The hotel gym was the best hotel gym I’ve ever worked out in. I would definitely stay again.

Parking not easy in and out and high cost

It was fairly clean with a modern feel, did not like that parking was $30.

There's just something a little off. It has a nice restaurant and bar. But their people need to recognize how to acknowledge when something is broken and not fight the customer. I had to argue with 2 different people that the ice machine wasn't working and was told "It does but you just have to know how to work it the right way." When I laughed and told someone to come and show me, he came up and put the glass in front of the sensor where it in fact did not dispense ice. But he proceeded to move the glass all around until he found the right spot that 4 pieces of ice spurted out at which time he looked at me with satisfaction. Sorry dude. Your customers have neither the time or desire to sit and figure out how to work an ice machine. Just say "It doesn't work. Can I bring you a bucket from the bar?" Also, I called down to the front desk to ask whether the people in the offices 20 feet away could see in my room, they assured me you couldn't. Yet as I waved and moved the curtain back and forth I could see the reflection of my room in the glass of the office building. So be careful. Otherwise great metro access and fun restaurants in the neighborhood.

Great property, friendly staff and a wonderful lobby with a great dining room. The workout center is incredible it has a peloton spinning room

Excellent gym

Parking the this hotel is awful. Drove around the building several times looking for a lot only to discover an extremely small driveway into the building. Pushed the button for entry and had a disturbing discussion with a person who did not like that I could not remember the agency I booked the hotel through. All of a sudden the door opened and I started to drive through and immediately in front of me was another gate that went up giving the impression to continue ahead. WRONG. I ended in the wrong parking garage and it took a half hour to get my car out and into the hotel parking area. One of the hotel reception desk people helped me. SHE WAS FANTASTIC. Why the gate went up for the tower parking lot is a mystery but it is deceiving and confusing.

Room not fully clean, I can see used contact lens and lot of dust. Can’t sleep well for 2 nights cause is the pillow height.

Clean and nice room

The tiles in the bathroom are cracked, and cockroaches are hiding beneath them. When I was using the toilet, they crawled out from the cracks. What's even more terrifying is that they climbed onto my bed and pillow. At that time, my son and I were sleeping. A little thing was crawling around under my neck. I was so scared that I almost screamed. I can't believe that I spent over a hundred dollars and got such treatment.

The air conditioner was not working in my room. I also saw a mouse in the lobby.

Used self-service parking lot across from the hotel. All staff were very friendly. Didn't quite understand how to use the elevator at first. The room was excellent; the view on the 8th floor of the office building floor not so great but just closed blinds.

The facility was new and clean and it had an on-site bar and Cafe with an outdoor patio. All good things. However. Room AC was under some Master control that either had it too hot or too cold. They tried to fix it twice to not much avail until the very last night. Would prefer staying at the Marriott hotel corporate location. Same price far better experience

Stayed here many times before and liked it. This time the air conditioning in one room was broken and the other room we had never was cleaned even though we asked twice for the room to be cleaned. When Air conditioning broke they wouldn’t switch rooms. Disappointing this time. Lots of other choices in area so maybe time to stay elsewhere.

Angeline at the front desk was an angel. The beds were super comfy, and the pillows. Clean and luxurious linens. Free WiFi access if you're a member of Marriott Bonvoy but I believe it is complimentary even if you're not. Very clean. Wooden flooring so no musty carpet. Highly recommend.

My upstairs neighbour was walking very loudly in the room after midnight and early morning and I couldn't sleep well. Very bad experience and I wasted money

Clean and in good condition, nice staff, though the room feels like it belongs in Blade Runner 2049 - very industrial.

Rooms were clean albeit small and dark.

Very solid hotel. Nice, new, clean, and comfortable. My only negative is my room 1215 window was a view of the parking garage. Barely enough sunlight shined in the room and the people on the floors up could see straight into our room. I hated that. Overall very nice hotel. Love the restaurant on the property. Parking is $30 per night, wish that was cheaper.

I liked the new, clean rooms, and that the flooring wasn't carpet. Everything about the AC was perfect except for the bathroom door, which was a frosted glass sliding door. You can hear and see everything from the bathroom even with the frosted glass.

Poor staff. They will give your room away you paid for. I waited 45 minutes for an agent to go check every room to make sure it was clean. Poor communication between staff. They have limited parking for hotel so you will have to share parking with another establishment. Just park in the garage across the street it’s free on the weekends and holidays. I’m very disappointed with them. Clean room that’s the only decent thing about this place.

I have stayed here often but this particular stay caught me off guard because I didn’t get the service I was used to. I wanted a room with a bathtub, as I always request. However, I was placed into a handicapped room and everything was extremely low to the ground. This would have been perfect for someone in a wheelchair but I couldn’t understand why I was put in here without letting me know this is how it would be. I would have declined. My tv didn’t work and my bath would not get hot so maintenance had to come to fix both issues. While he tried his best, the bath never got hot and the front desk never tried to make anything right with me. Then, I went to the restaurant for Happy Hour/dinner and was ignored over and over. It was weird. I sat on the outside of the restaurant, in that section between the restaurant and the computers. I was told I would get service and I noticed everyone else had service so I figured I’d be ok. The young man passed over me several times and came to a young blonde girl immediately when she sat down to ask if she needed anything. She said no, she wasn’t eating, all while I was and really wanted service. He hesitantly came over to me and when I ordered a drink, he rudely asked for ID. I didn’t see anyone else pull out an ID. Mine was in my room but I went upstairs to get it. I eventually was serviced, received my meal, and waited forever for the gentleman to check on me, see if I needed anything, or bring me my check. I eventually found the MGR.

My arrival was perfect and I was accommodated into my room smoothly, but I ask for a late check out @1pm and this man with a clipboard just uses his master key to walk into my room and I am woman staying alone and I’m sure he was aware of my late check out doesn’t make it right for him to come into my room which was actually really creepy. I should have been compensated my entire not given a free drink card. The hotel was beautiful and employees were super nice and sweet but that one person.

Great hotel! Paid parking is easy and staff are friendly and helpful. The Bethesda metro station is right across the street, making it simple to get into DC. Also a number of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Would definitely stay again!

The AC Hotel by Marriott Bethesda Downtown is an excellent place to stay. It’s incredibly convenient to the metro, and it’s new, clean, and quiet.

This is our second stay at the hotel. It's modern, clean, and our standard rooms have been spacious. Excellent location; very close to many dining and shopping options, and public transportation.

We had such a fantastic time during our stay! The staff was absolutely wonderful. The place was spotless and very modern. The food at the restaurant was delicious, and the service was exceptional.

Hotel is new, clean. Only issues were it appears that someone pumped out with all the shampoo and shower gel in the shower. On our second morning, the buffet breakfast was unavailable d/t electrical issues. Otherwise our stay was a breeze. Shoutout to Mya at the front desk for the birthday treat.

Hotel was great room was very nice and clean staff was super nice. The only downfall was the restaurant, we decided to have dinner and the chicken came out super salty. The waitress did nit help and just said they asked the chef and there was nothing wrong. I had to ask for the manager and he did a great job in apologizing and taking care of our meal. We decided to try the restaurant for lunch another day, ended up waiting 30 min for sandwiches only to find hairs in the them. The hitel was great but would not recommend the restaurant.

Property is clean, and the restaurant and bar are amazing overall is great

The brand new, elegant hotel is lovely, service is friendly and efficient and food in restaurant is very good. However, it was not clear when I made the reservation that there is an additional $50 PET FEE charge. And that the pre-paid option for $15 breakfast is a credit against charges that exceed that amount for the breakfast buffet. Also there is an additional charge for parking in their lot.

Everything was great except breakfast. The breakfast was one of the worst I’ve had at a restaurant. Pancakes were hard and the sausage was gross. No cereal options for kids. Advertised as free but it is not.

Spanish dining lovely, but not inexpensive. High, high ceilings with airy atmosphere even in Clean, minimalist decor in neutral colors with light highlighting. Very nice hotel! Only for one night—wish longer!
