The Inn at Zaca Creek

Restaurant and pool were closed (communicated in advance). Snacks, coffee and water were complimentary. Owner was very cordial at check in.

We had a wonderful stay! I absolutely love the cozy rooms—their quaint design are such a breath of fresh air from the usual hotels I stay at, and their amenities are generous. We really appreciated the slippers! Parking was great, and love that it is a short drive to Solvang. Might recommend implementing quiet hours—our neighbors had the TV on loud all night, but that was an inconsideration on the guest’s behalf and not the hotel. Am also grateful to Sally for her attentiveness. Can’t wait to stay again!

Pool could have been warmer

Restaurant has a good menu and the food is great but not always open. Beautiful property and grounds but pool was closed and there are no seating areas outside of you want to enjoy the gardens

Location very convenient off 101 Fwy, easy parking, quiet, tastefully decorated unit, excellent bedding. Spacious comfortable room. The pool area is beautiful and very resort-like. Features a full bar and food service. Adjacent Tavern restaurant is outstanding happy hour and dinners were excellent. Proximity to dozens of vineyards and tasting rooms a big plus---Los Olivos and Solvang are within 10 minutes.

The room was really nice. Wife liked the spa-bath. Really quiet place.

Wow! I’m so glad we ended up picking this location.We debated on staying closer in Solvang(7 min drive- not bad at all) but couldn’t resist after seeing the pictures-I’m glad we did! This location is beyond beautiful! The rooms are exactly as pictured! And the pool-stunning & relaxing!My husband & I took our teens & they loved it. The place thought of everything,toiletries,slippers,robes,Nespresso, water,snacks! Yes, they don’t have a “front desk” but personally besides us needing to switch towels out & ice, there wasn’t a need for one. We caught a worker & asked for both & he assisted us-he was friendly.We only stood 2nights so turnover service wasn’t important for us. And yes, it’s right alongside the freeway but that was no bother at all! It wasn’t noisy whatsoever.Checkin-we did need to go in, where we were given a code (quick & easy). Lots of parking avail.There are 6 rooms avail,so it’s very quiet & private. Feedback (nothing major):Since we did go with teens, they do require more privacy while showering so the “open shower” prevented us from using the toilet while they showered at same time if needed.The coffee “bar” limited our space in the bathroom (on sink) & I personally don’t place or take any food/drinks into the bathroom area.The bathroom is only place w/mirrors (above sink and a body mirror), so getting ready made the bathroom crowded.I followed directions for direct tv, but only got 1 channel (could’ve just been us) but we didn’t spend much time watching TV.

Complimentary snacks, water, tea, and coffee were available in the room. The down side is the rooms are not noise proof. The guests next to us were loud and continued their conversations until after 2:00 AM! Very frustrating because check-out time is at 11:00Am. Also, there is a highway nearby, so if you prefer quiet try to get a room away from the highway.

Our one night stay at the Inn at Zaca creek was nice. The room was extremely clean and had everything we needed. My only complaint was the memory foam bed. I have a bad back and it killed me in the morning. Other than that I would highly recommend.

Although the room is very cool looking and exactly as pictured on the site, I would not recommend this property. We did make a last minute reservation, and that could explain the fact that the bathroom had a dirt-ringed toilet bowl and cobwebs. It is an isolated motel location and feels more like a VRBO since the management is not on-site at night. There were limited guests the night we booked and since we were not familiar with the area, this made us feel unsafe, especially since the motel is just off the highway. After discovering our only dinner option at the local Marriot, I would say that is a better place to stay if you are passing through the area.

Stayed 1 night while in town for show at Chumash Casino with my sister and we LOVED our stay. Very cute and clean hotel with comfortable rooms. Will definitely be staying again in the future and do recommend!

I love the stone and wood design, and every aspect of the space is planned with comfort and ease in mind. I am just passing through town, but this could easily be home base for the exploration of ol’ local wineries and beaches. Really a gem, spotless, immaculate, and a joy to encounter after a long day of travel!

The stonework in the rooms is very compelling. Rooms are clean and the staff is responsive. My biggest complaint was with the bed itself. It was hollowed out and lumpy. And if you can't sleep, the rest doesn't matter!

Love the deep soaking tub! Very comfortable bed, clean and very quiet at this quaint inn. Super big room with a high ceiling. Surrounded by stone walls. Easy check-in at The Tavern restaurant.

The inn at zaca creek is very beautiful inside and out. We had a wonderful stay. Lights have dimmers to make a more comfortable ambiance. The king size bed was very comfortable. You can change the AC temp setting to your desired temp for a good night's rest. The rooms are already on the cooler side, you can turn off the AC later and the room will feel cool for a very long time. It feels very comfortable and private. It was perfect for our weekend getaway and wine tasting in Los olivos and Santa ynez.

Probably my bad for not believing the photos. The room is truly a cave, almost to the point of giving me a claustrophobia. This is just a weird place. It’s essentially a decorated motor lodge. I think it would be good if you plan to eat at the restaurant, which we did not. The pool is closed for the winter, even though it’s late April. The bed is relatively uncomfortable, too soft. They clearly got the memo on providing amenities for a five-star room. There is an nespresso machine, extra razors, toothbrushes, etc., but no lotion? The shower is weird, because you essentially step into a giant corner bathtub, which is a big step. No door or shower curtain, so the water splashes into the main bathroom. For me, just too expensive for what you get, and it is too isolated.

Had a nice stay at the Inn at Zaca Creek. Room was spacious and well-appointed. Only issue was noise - I think it was the guest next door who was talking very loud at midnight and 7am but they do have earplugs in the room (Just didn't find them till the next day). Would recommend the hotel still!

Cathedral ceilings in some rooms. Love the stone and wood decor... very cozy .... great romantic getaway

The stay did not go exactly as planned. Throughout the evening there was something clawing at the ceiling in the room. It was just past 0100 when it started so there was really nothing we could do to change the situation. We left a message with management in the morning, without response. We will have to think twice before staying or recommending in the future.

This is one of the more unique places we've stayed in. Restaurant is a few steps from the rooms and the food is excellent. Staff was very accommodating. We'll here again for sure.

Quaint roadside tavern/inn with exceptional service and food. The room was very comfortable, felt private and attention was given to making sure we had everything we needed. Like days forgotten, I loved that they called us the day of check in to welcome us, provide check in information, and see if there was anything special we needed. It reminded us of an old family run country roadside inn and tavern except the service, food, & beer/wine selection were all 5-star. We would go back to the Inn at Zaca in a second.

The Inn at Zaca Creek is a boutique property that has gorgeous, intimate rooms that are unique with the natural stone walls. Beautiful property with an onsite restaurant that rivals any foodies fantasy. The staff are friendly, courteous and fit their roles perfectly. You could transplant Zaca Creek Inn & Tavern over to Napa and it would thrive. We can’t wait to return

The rooms looked incredible! I was a little confused about the checking out though, because no one was at the property.

Outstanding venue…quiet,comfortable room, no hassle trips to wine country. ABSOLUTELY worth the visit…I’ll be returning soon;)

Amazing place!! Absolutely loved it here! We will definitely be back. We stayed in room 2, close to 101 freeway but could not hear any noise. Beautiful stone brick walls insulate from noise. You feel like your inside a beautiful castle. Close drive to Solvang (9min). The Tavern restaurant on premises was fantastic. My husband and I loved it here.

A quiet get-away with only 6 suites on the property. We felt like being in Europe with unique all-stone architecture and I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the pool and countryside. The tavern was wonderful for dining and has a nice full bar & wine list. There's a covered patio available too. The bathroom was large with a full tub and shower, includes nice linens and a frig in room. A tasty breakfast scone-sandwich can be ordered in advance for 9AM delivery, since the tavern is closed until happy hour. The GM, Stephen Villa was very hospitable and helpful with check-in arrangements since key codes are used.

This boutique Inn is such a surprise & delight!! We loved our 2 night stay here, with kids. Beautiful property, cozy rooms and very zen/peaceful pool area. Like having your own private oasis!! The onsite Tavern is exceptionally delicious, our meals were excellent! Tavern service was also fantastic. What a hidden gem!! Will definitely be back :)

We LOVE staying at the Inn and enjoying the Tavern. To have these two incredible venues within the same property is a gift. We just wish we made it to the area more often where we could take advantage of the Zaca Creek Inn and Tavern. Steve and his crew are a well oiled machine that provides excellent service in a unique setting.
