High (unacceptable) road noise on our room along Foam St, a very busy one-way thoroughfare from downtown Monterey to the Cannery…our 2nd floor room also had no air movement as no air conditioning or fans (other than a noisy portable fan provided) so very stuffy & uncomfortable..outside temp only 70 degrees..opening windows helped somewhat but increase high road noise…front desk was uninterested in providing other options & lacked any empathy towards the guest experience…room was good size & nice enough otherwise, although a bit dated…beds were good…willingness to take pets a plus…on-site parking at reasonable added cost & hotel location were great.. overall hotel conditions were fine, unfortunately overshadowed by poor room experience…would be willing to try staying again as long as room is not along Foam St.

Best not to be on second floor under those noisy vent fans. We couldn't sleep at all. At first I thought it was a fan in the bathroom but later when I spoke to the guy at the front desk he told me what it was. We managed to get them turned off as we couldn't get moved to a room on the first floor. Appreciate they did that for us. Overall nice place.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Room was clean. Location was very convenient. Property could use a bit of TLC.
