I was looking for a quintessential English experience for my sons and loved staying at this classic establishment. It’s right in town center so can be a bit noisy at night with windows open since it was quite warm. Only one fan, but to make up for it the staff was great, thank you to Matilda, Vickie, Rickie and Sue and the others that were there that really were so genuine and helpful. Food was great!

Lovely old building, great pub with friendly staff and excellent evening meal. Rooms were decent size and comfortable, fair amount of road noise but you would expect that right in the middle of the city. Chichester is a lovely place to visit

Its about value, the room was 220 pounds for one night, single bed, no fan, boiling hot with the towel rail in the bathroom stuck on full blast (30 degrees outside). Couldn't open windows due to the incredible noise from the high street etc.... If I had paid 80 pound I probably would have expected it, however for 220 it can only be described as poor. I would not stay again under any circumstance.

The room was clean (slightly compact, but OK for 1 night) and the bed comfortable, and we slept well (= temperature right/controllable and no noticeable noise disturbances through the night) The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in and check-out were efficient We ate in the restaurant and had a promptly served and well cooked, tasty meal Breakfast (included) was really good too Overall good value for money (especially compared to a different Chichester hotel we stayed in previously which was ~20% more expensive and failed on a couple of the points mentioned above, and didn't include breakfast either Our visit was to go to the Festival Theatre, and the Nags Head was perfect for that, and easily within walking distance Thanks to all the staff!
