Nicely renovated inn/restaurant with rooms. Our room was spacious and clean. The food in the restaurant and the selection of drinks at the bar where excellent after a day exploring West Sussex .

This was a first time traveller, staying away from home by myself as a sole woman. I was very anxious. They were so warm, friendly and welcoming on arrival. They showed me to my room, which was lovely-much better than I expected-left me in peace to settle but I booked for a meal. They took on board my anxieties amid being alone and placed me to eat near the staff. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. The decor and set up were just lovely. I didn’t stop for breakfast but it looked very well attended on my checkout. Plenty of free parking. Lovely location. I would highly recommend and would return.

Had a lovely few night stay with my dog! The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. Really enjoyed just spending the afternoon sitting on their lovely patio drinking a beer and relaxing. It was dead silent at night, so had great night sleeps. And it was really convenient to all the places I visited (Chichester, West Dean Gardens, South Downs National Park, and East Head). Will certainly stay again!

Loved the room bedroom which came with it's own courtyard. They had some nice touches including giving us some fresh milk in a flask for teas/coffees in your room. Bed and bathroom very extremely comfortable. Very dog friendly with planty of gound to walk your dog to do it's business. Pub was very attractive inside and our meals were simply delicious (especially the Pork Ribeye) and my full english breakfast was first class. Both ther homemade beer bread and their sourdough were exceptional. Overall a superb stop to stay. Will be back with some friends from overseas as they will love the place.

Enjoyable stay at a good price. Pretty up to date room with a good breakfast. Offered advocado with the full English when I said I did not want black pudding. Croquet lawn. Very friendly and helpful staff. Free EV charging was a nice plus although I think 2 of the 3 chargers were not working. The main negative was the noise of a fan turning on and off outside my particular room (Quail). Was annoying.

After a day on the beach we were so pleased to arrive at this gorgeous gastro pub with rooms. Beautiful, and comfortable rooms with lovely style and welcoming touches, and our dog was welcomed happily and given her own bed and there was even a dog shower area outside. Dinner outside was delicious and a great breakfast menu too, traditional and healthy options also. Thoroughly recommend and hope to come back.

Booked this for my wife and I. As it was our first anniversary. Reviews were good and were recommended by a dear friend. The room was full of bugs & dust behind the cabinets that clearly weren’t cleaned properly. So I was very embarrassed, as I try booking something special for my wife but instead after seeing the room like this. We had to go and find a member of staff who had to switch us rooms. As well as they had to notify the cleaner of this.

Awful experience..room was filthy.. dead bugs and flies everywhere..not been cleaned for a while ..over run with mosquitoes at 2 am so had to leave with our 10 week old baby before he was bitten to bits..we booked a week in advance & still cot bed wasn’t in room & Cot bed supplied was stained & dirty ..window don’t shut properly..the worst room I ever seen for it cleanliness ..pretentious food over priced ..! NOT 5 ⭐️ that need to be assessed….

Really delightful experience, with a particularly scrumptious breakfast! Down in Bognor Regis for one of my best friend's milestone birthdays and needed a quiet, peaceful, countryside bolt hole to overnight in. My room was clean, easily accessible and tucked away out of the hubbub of pub flow. I enjoyed the novelty of the four poster bed, the rainfall drench shower, and the tasteful decor. The staff were polite and appropriately attentive. Just lovely.

We stayed at the white Horse last weekend ( bank holiday ) for 2 nights and enjoyed every second . Our Room was Badger - beautiful , loved attention to detail - gorgeous white line , cookies , water - very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely .Dinner on 2nd night was great - sadly they had run out of a few things on the menu but enjoed what we chose . Staff very friendly and helpful . Would recommend 100%

We stayed for two nights, and had very mixed feelings about this hotel. Things I liked: Friendly staff Nice rustic feel Lovely views and outdoor space Things I didn’t like: We had to move rooms, and ended up seeing 3 of the rooms on offer. Two of these did not have a shower, only a bath. We found this really odd, and very inconvenient. It did not say when booking that you might not get a shower. Sheepskin rugs: just horrible. If you care about animal rights you are better off elsewhere, there were also paintings of men on horses in red coats (suggesting they’re off to fox hunt) on the walls in one of the rooms. Food: had breakfast only and it was nice. Chose not to have evening meals because there isn’t much vegetarian or vegan choice. If you’re vegan, I would definitely avoid for the multiple reasons above.

I found the staff welcoming and very friendly. I enjoyed my evening meal and breakfast. The room was very nice and I really enjoyed the deep bath. I did not like the bright green light that came from a box mounted on the ceiling. It was very bright and I had to arrange my pillows in such a way to block it out in order to sleep. I prefer a darker room to sleep in. Apart from that everything was lovely.

We really enjoyed our stay, everyone was friendly, helpful, super accommodating and in particular with it being dog friendly we never felt like we were being a nuisance with the dog. It is the first time that I have eaten out with the dog and not felt on edge, worried that she is in the way or making someone else feel uncomfortable.

The inn was fantastic. The reception front of house staff were extremely friendly and kind. They offered us a hot drink on a rainy miserable evening on arrival. They also sorted us out with a drink to go on our departure to London. Everything from checking in to checkout was top class.

The White Horse provided an excellent overnight stay with good facilities and a lovely breakfast. We would have liked to have eaten there too but their restaurant booking system said fully booked only to be told, once we arrived, that they always make room for guests - too late for us as we’d made other arrangements.

Nicely renovated inn/restaurant with rooms. Our room was spacious and clean. The food in the restaurant and the selection of drinks at the bar where excellent after a day exploring West Sussex .

Had a lovely few night stay with my dog! The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. Really enjoyed just spending the afternoon sitting on their lovely patio drinking a beer and relaxing. It was dead silent at night, so had great night sleeps. And it was really convenient to all the places I visited (Chichester, West Dean Gardens, South Downs National Park, and East Head). Will certainly stay again!

We had a lovely one night stay. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and tidy, the food was tasty and the breakfast was brilliant. The garden area and country setting was so relaxing. Just what we were looking for. Great value for money and would highly recommend.

We stayed at the white Horse last weekend ( bank holiday ) for 2 nights and enjoyed every second . Our Room was Badger - beautiful , loved attention to detail - gorgeous white line , cookies , water - very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely .Dinner on 2nd night was great - sadly they had run out of a few things on the menu but enjoed what we chose . Staff very friendly and helpful . Would recommend 100%

We stayed for two nights, and had very mixed feelings about this hotel. Things I liked: Friendly staff Nice rustic feel Lovely views and outdoor space Things I didn’t like: We had to move rooms, and ended up seeing 3 of the rooms on offer. Two of these did not have a shower, only a bath. We found this really odd, and very inconvenient. It did not say when booking that you might not get a shower. Sheepskin rugs: just horrible. If you care about animal rights you are better off elsewhere, there were also paintings of men on horses in red coats (suggesting they’re off to fox hunt) on the walls in one of the rooms. Food: had breakfast only and it was nice. Chose not to have evening meals because there isn’t much vegetarian or vegan choice. If you’re vegan, I would definitely avoid for the multiple reasons above.

Loved the room bedroom which came with it's own courtyard. They had some nice touches including giving us some fresh milk in a flask for teas/coffees in your room. Bed and bathroom very extremely comfortable. Very dog friendly with planty of gound to walk your dog to do it's business. Pub was very attractive inside and our meals were simply delicious (especially the Pork Ribeye) and my full english breakfast was first class. Both ther homemade beer bread and their sourdough were exceptional. Overall a superb stop to stay. Will be back with some friends from overseas as they will love the place.

Really delightful experience, with a particularly scrumptious breakfast! Down in Bognor Regis for one of my best friend's milestone birthdays and needed a quiet, peaceful, countryside bolt hole to overnight in. My room was clean, easily accessible and tucked away out of the hubbub of pub flow. I enjoyed the novelty of the four poster bed, the rainfall drench shower, and the tasteful decor. The staff were polite and appropriately attentive. Just lovely.
