Motel 6 Ridgecrest, CA China Lake

Wasn’t able to get the room and want it downstairs so they gave me an upstairs room which was bad on my back then had no parking areas cause their parking lot was cluttered

Stayed at this location many times and have always exceeded expectations. We are traveling with pets and one of them disappeared. The owner went out of his way to help us locate our pet. I would definitely recommend a stay at this location.

Large, clean rooms.Bathroom was clean ,if old. Coffee maker and fridge were nice. Parking was convenient.Overall, good place for families.

Pet friendly! Clean room. And VERY friendly front desk staff.

The only negative is that there is not enough parking to accomodate all the guests.

We picked this based on it being the best rated, dog friendly motel in town. Other reviewers have commented on the "nice" decor or color scheme of the rooms. Our room was the most depressing hotel room I have ever been in, beige and brown, broken up only by spackle on part of an unfinished wall and green paint splatters on the floor. (We had the handicap room.) We didnt mind the bedding not being changed (we were there for 4 nights), but when the towels were replaced one day they left the door ajar...all of in our stuff could have been taken! And no washcloths were given to us after the first were taken. Also, NO Soap!! I understand bringing my own shampoo & lotion, but having to bring a large bar of soap is just unpractical, esp if you are going to several places on a trip. We already have a "Motel 6 survival kit" because they are such basic stays, but no soap?!? Oh, and the TV had no signal the whole time, so there was nothing to distract from how depressing the room was.

Easy check in. Our original room had a fan issue in the bathroom and the cleaning lady put us in the room right next door that was quieter which was very nice of her to do. The lot was under construction so there wasnt too many parking spots open. The hotel was quiet and had a straight shot to Death Valley.

The room was clean, the host was very nice, The motel is convenient to split the distance between 2 destinations. There is not really much to do in the area. The parking lot does not have enough space for all the rooms. Conclusion I recommend this establishment without hesitation.

We had bed bugs in our bed and the room seemed as if it had not been cleaned since the last guests left. It was very dirty all over. On the other hand the receptionist was very friendly and offered a partial refund when we complained.

The smoke alarm had been removed, and was sitting in the closet without batteries. Yikes! It was scary waking up and noticing that we slept all night without a smoke alarm (especially with the amount of smokers around the hotel that we noticed). Price was good. Nice warm shower. AC worked, and cooled very well over time, though it was quite noisy. The room looked clean at first, but we noticed that the floors were dirty. Do motels like this wash sheets and pillowcases between different guests? I noticed lots of animal hair on the outer sheet, and human hair and some dirt on the white sheets as well.

We got bitten by fleas or something in the bed

What just wanted to bring it up to your attention a couple days that I’ve been staying there at the hotel everything’s great. Everything‘s clean had no issues. No problems with service around the property. Just a few things that I noticed in inside my room when I was there One day I had a roach a cockroach on the chair that I noticed Yeah, other time I seen a couple of small roaches coming out of the sink in the restroom other than that, I did not have any issues

Very friendly staff, very clean

I stayed here for one night and the first room I was in the deadbolt didn’t lock which made me worried being a single female in a new area. (I was visiting family for Thanksgiving ) but I don’t feel safe then I see the bed and it was full of stains I asked to change room they did immediately and I was happy with that but when I went to use the bathroom at 3am I saw cockroaches and one was on my toothbrush. I’m terrified of bugs I was soo upset I couldn’t sleep all night because of it. I’m was disappointed with this I hope they fix that issue very upsetting

Extremely dirty, my bedding was not changed from last guest. No towels in my room and they do not put shampoo or soap in the room.

Good location, great price. Only hiccup was buggy WiFi.

The heat is NOT working! It is set to max yet it is barely blowing any warm air. Not sure if I can sleep in artic conditions. I might just get another hotel. A real one.

The staff were pleasant and polite. The room was spacious. We enjoyed having the split floor plan with the beds. I hope in the future they can have use ports and better wifi.

Clean rooms, safe environment, fairly quiet area - though the walls are not very sound proof. Better than I expected for Motel 6 and wonderful for the price. The managers are super lovely.

Most televisions do not work.

Got to hotel at 6pm, left at 10pm for another hotel down the road. Very dirty, paper thin walls between units, could hear loud TV and sex and coughing up luggies next door and buffalos walking above me. Beware!

They checked me and my husband and 2 teenage sons into a room that wasn't ready. Spoke w the front desk and got a new room. I didnt inspect it as thoroughly as I should have. It was late. I was tired, I went to bed. Next morning, we were in a rush to get to a funeral, no shower head. I didnt have time to complain, very busy day ahead. Left a note, returned late and slept. Next morning, still no shower head. Still busy day, so we showered again anyways. Next day, I went to the front desk about the shower head and asked for more towels. Didnt complain that they werent going to fix the showerhead. He said he would send housekeeping w towels. They never showed. The next day, day 4 of our stay, I went back to the front desk and reported the towels never arriving nor the room refresh he had mentioned. He apologized and gave me 2 towels for the 4 of us. Not my first stay here. Its always something.

Phone not working. Tv not working. No one at front desk to ask questions. I packed up and left. Door stuck. Hard to close. Did not stay the night. Very poor Motel 6

I got to the location. Nobody was there. I pressed the ring door bell and I was told someone will come to check me in. 30min later nobody has shown up. So I walked away!

The lady at the desk was rude. There was a pile of trash and boxes outside my room. The sheets in the bed were not fresh and I I had to request a new room. The lady switched my room, but then accused me of smoking in the room I’d been in for maybe 10 mins. I don’t smoke. Overall terrible. Won’t return

Stayed here before. Will do so again. Not a 5 star hotel folks. It's a very good Motel 6 and very professional people working the desk.

No elevators and there was an unhoused person by the entrance drinking a beer near dusk. Kinda scarey area too.

It got the job done and was close to Death Valley. The staff was nice. The room was a bit rundown.

This place was great for a thru hiker. Clean, good price, near laundry and many resupply options. I was just looking for a good shower, clean and comfortable bed and this place delivered.
