Holiday Inn Express Birmingham Redditch by IHG

Very dog friendly, which surpassed the last Holiday Inn we stayed in. The room was dated on the ground floor but it was a dog friendly room and was clean and the staff were super friendly and onsite parking. Breakfast was great as usual. Thankyou

Breakfast was better than expected. Unfortunately there was very little choice of places to eat locally in the evening & the menu provided by the hotel was limited.

Very good value for money. Breakfast included and was very good buffet. Hot and cold food. We used the bar and restaurant too. Very good.

Super position near to the centre of the town with great parking. Nice room and facilities and a super breakfast. A great price for our stay!

Carpets in the room were stained. TV wasn’t working and had to switch room to find a TV that worked receptionist didn’t seem happy about this. No food offered in the evenings during my stay. £20 per night dog charge excessive compared to other hotels.

Very pleasantly surprised and overall an excellent experience in what could be regarded as a low budget hotel, but should not be deemed or feared as such. On Positive notes, Every member of staff that I interacted with, were pleasant, polite, courteous and helpful and i could not have been more pleased with their attitude and demeanor plus everyone that i meet was well dressed and smart, a pleasure to see in this day and age of dress down to work. . The Room 216 was clean, Bedding the same and the bed comfortable, Standard tea and coffee facilities along with ironing Board, iron and hairdryer in room. Shower Room and Toiletries provided were standard but acceptable, Clean towels and spares on hand was a nice touch. Self service Breakfast was of a good standard and there was plenty of food on offer to suit most tastes, along with various drinks options,tea,coffee,Juice,water etc. The Sites location being a 3 minute walk to the Main redditch centre and shopping mall, and nicely located again around 3 mins from Redditch train station with links to Birmingham and various other Midlands locations. Free car parking at the rear of premises in its own onsite Car park with secure entry and exit points. One of the fastest upload speeds i have ever encountered on my travels in hotels measuring over 32 Mbps and download speeds of 48 Mbps plus on average, so ideal for streaming, uploading work data or just staying in touch with loved ones. Negatives Minor cleaning issues on carpets

This is not at all a secure property. My car got damaged in the hotel parking area that I parked in allocated parking bays overnight. Manager has taken the photos but there is no action yet from management on this.

Good location could do with bigger car park but must say there were plenty of unoccupied spaces available breakfast was good and hot and served at 6:30 and the price for my stay was good especially when comparing other hotels

The hotel was well placed for my stay and the staff were friendly & polite. However the cleanliness was poor, multiple stains on the carpet & warn in places. Also there was an orange chair in the corner, the cushion had multiple stains on it, & if you took the cushion off, it was filthy underneath with hairs,? a half sucked polo mint sweet, dust & detritus. The skirting boards in places had build up of dust. Grouting in places in the bathroom needed replacing. Thankfully no signs of bed bugs.

Hotel was a bit shabby, permanent stains on carpet and sofa bed. Otherwise we were comfortable, would have appreciated better instructions for the Heating/air con and didn’t know the hairdryer switch was under a cupboard. The food in the evening was not up to scratch, cheap fish and soggy chips. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We stayed for one the night, the staff were amazing, they were very friendly and helpful. Food was superb. Bed rooms spotlessly clean and comforable.

Was tidy and clean but lacked space. Had no place for a suitcase or to hang clothes. Didn't help that the hand basin took ages to drain. Other than that service staff were helpful.

The rooms bathroom had a noisy/squeaky extractor fan which could be heard throughout the night, breakfast was chaotic and a free for all like most buffets but had to ask several times to what seems frustrated and impatient service staff for items to be replenished. All items were of usual good quality though

place was clean, the staff friendly. my only criticism is the quality of the TV channels. they were unwatchable

Good location, amazingly nice and helpful reception staff. The room was nice and clean. We stayed in the accessible room so, was spacious as well as clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. The buffet consisted of various option, which were restocked as needed. The only thing I would say, did not work for us was the air conditioning (the duty manager asked and I had conveyed). It was barely working and making night very unexpectedly uncomfortable as the temperature would not go below 22. The support in the shower, does need looking into as well as was not adjusting to the required height, otherwise the toilet was well stocked and clean. One, thing I would like to mention is that during the breakfast, there was no place where we could leave the used plates/mugs etc and the staff was not clearing the tables as and when required which ended up with us having a tower of plates in front us. Nevertheless, really happy with the stay, amenities and the service.

Nice hotel. Comfortable and quiet room. Air conditioning a bit difficult to set up. Duvet too thick and heavy for summer, requiring over-compensating with air-conditioning. Good location. Nice unobtrusive staff. Mostly very clean. Remote control (especially dirty) for TV and light switches could do with being cleaned. Bathroom facilities very good. Cooked breakfast was OK - not as good as Premier Inn. Staff not as available or obvious during breakfast service, but did manage to get gluten free toast without issue. Overall a good stay and would use the hotel again in the future.

Overall the staff were very helpful and pleasant and the hotel was clean. Breakfast was good, lots to choose from. Only criticism was the sofa bed, it was extremely uncomfortable.

Good for a quick overnight stay. Comfortable beds and very clean. Breakfast a bit hit and miss as the reception person was also responsible for stocking up the hot breakfast too. Came to check out, waited 15 minutes and still no one came to the desk. Waited with 2 other sets of people and in the end we just dropped the keys in the key box and left. Should have more staff on.. especially for reception.

Great room and Excellent Service given by Sharon at checkin.Sharon was VERY friendly and gave some great ideas of what to see and do.Stayed for 2 days and was very impressed.Breakfast was good and EXCELLENT service from Samantha who went out of her way for my wife being gluten and dairy free. Samantha was extremely understanding and went out of her way to please.Also cleaning of tables was done quickly and efficiently.Location is 10 minute walk to town square.Highly recommend Holiday Inn Express Redditch and THANK-YOU Sharon and Samantha for making our stay so pleasant.

Incredibly friendly Staff! We were made very welcone from the moment we arrived. Couldnt fault it.

Room was very clean, staff was very accommodating

Needed something to break up a long journey from the SW to the NE..... we booked online at about 715pm and checked in an hour later. Convenient for the journey being 10 mins from the motorway yet close to bars and eateries. We ate at a v good and well rated Indian restaurant 3 mins walk away called Shahi Palace. Packed on a Saturday night with a few free tables. Result. Hotel room exactly what we needed and clean/ functional and lovely staff. Decent included breakfast and free parking. Can't beat the price and value of the chain.

We had a blast! so comfortable, close to centre,mall and palace theatre. staff was so nice ! We enjoyed our stay very much!❤️

Great location, easy walk from the train station. Central but in a quiet residential area. All staff friendly and welcoming. Would stay again if in the area, recommend without hesitation.

Service was not great, dust on skirtings, carpet and Base of bed near headboard and mattress. The whole area outside the Hotel smelled of Cannabis and the Shopping Centre nearby smelled of Cannabis inside too,

Fairly good. Comfortable and clean but poor breakfast choices. Only pork sausages and bacon that I am unable to eat. No choice of eggs, plus the only eggs they had were scrambled and tasted like powdered eggs. No whole milk only semi- skimmed

Just one thing that was unsatisfactory was the breakfast by 9.05 there was only beans bacon and hash browns they said they had run out of other items. Not really good for customers

Value for money. No vegan breakfast available, when I have asked the staff said no stocks.

Hotel was fine and comfortable, Evening meal was poor quality and over priced served on a silly piece of wood, si as soon as I tried to cut the meat it slid almosy onto the table. When I queried the quality, I was told they have just change supplier? Breakfast poor quality and choice.
