Americana Waterpark Resort & Spa

No complimentary coffee bar in AM, only one ice machine/vending machines dont work but take your tap payment.multiple family rooms on main floor but tried to accomodate us on 3rd floor farthest from waterpark(with a 1yr old) limited elevators as well. Rooms are not made up or garbage taken if you are in room watching your stuff. Parking is outrageous in a very inconvenient area which driving is necessary($28 + tx per night!!!!) Parking should be included for 1 vehicle!!! Nice outdoor playground for play! Waterpark is adequate for families with children to 12ish yrs. Most staff friendly and helpful. Beds are very comfy rooms have nice set up for families with small kitchen area and dining area.

Waterpark great for young families. It is handy having Boston Pizza on site but was difficult to get a table because of all the teams staying on site.

Spacious rooms and family friendly. The play ground and waterpark were nice things for the kids to do when we weren’t spending time at Niagara Falls or Niagra on the lake. The wi-fi was spotty and the ice machine on our floor was broken. They also charge for parking which was unfortunate. This hotel would be perfect if it had a gym and free parking.

Great stay. Only downfall is you pay for parking but not guaranteed a spot and if your not there early you won't get a spot. Had to uber everywhere so I wasn't without a parking spot.

Room was clean, staff was friendly, amenities was great. Kids had an amazing time at the waterpark

We stayed labour day weekend to celebrate our daughters 5th birthday! Our room was extremely large which was nice and fairly clean. The hallways smelled a bit like stale cigarettes and the water park is extremely chlorinated to the point where our eyes were burning if we stayed too long. Other than those minor details the hotel was great!

Indoor water park is smaller compared with others in niagara region. The mens washroom shower broken, our room sink was choked and water was no draining.

Hotel was okay. Rooms and public areas were clean. Waterpark is extremely small. All towels were very small and rough. Parking was outrageous at $28 per day. Would stay closer to the falls next time.

Having the dining at the location was great. The water park was great but needs expansion. Very, very busy!

Outdoor play area needs some repair. Room was renovated and loved the shower. Had a small table which came in handy for eating in room Water park perfect for small children. However, there was a hockey time there that made it impossible for younger children to play in the basketball area

It was dirty in the room. Nobody clean the floor before our check in. Especially long black hair on the bathroom floor. My girls all red hair. I feel sorry for the guys working there ( too many rooms and probably minimum wage) but this is the trouth.

I stayed with my family (myself, wife, 8 yr old son, parents). It's a great property! The waterpark is also amazing! The room was a surprise. We had booked the junior kiddie suite that had a bunker bed. Our son was very excited to see it. The room was clean & spacious.

Room was clean, no odor. Shower drained well. Beds were comforable. Mostly quiet even though many young pre teens stayed there.

There was bedbugs in one of my rooms on all beds my family even got bitten by them it was horrible and I am still traumatized by it and instead of refunding me for both nights I only got refunded for 1 night.

The room is clean,the staff are friendly the hotel is good to everyone we enjoyed our stay for 3days and 2nights.

Bed bugs found in my kids bunk bed room. Staff didn’t seem overly concerned by this. Told me I could spend my day in their laundromat cleaning all our belongings.

The staff at the pool was very attentive, and the waterpark was fine and fun. There were many problematic things though. The waterpark doors were left open and cigarette smoke came in. We weren't told the towels were kept inside. I had to go into the air-conditioned arcane and wait in a line to get towels. It was a very cold experience. Our hotel room was dirty. The bedspreads were dirty to the point that they were shedding grossness onto the sheets. The bathroom floor was dirty, the shower curtain dirty, the toilet seat dirty and the counter dirty. The base of one of the beds was filthy, there was dirt build-up at the base of the dresser. The room kept zero noise out, we just didn't sleep. I asked the desk around 11pm the night we checked in if we could cancel the second night, and they said no. They had no fans to block out noise, so we went and purchased one, but I absolutely would never stay in this hotel. The hotel staff responded to a review I left elsewhere a couple of days ago, proclaiming its not their standards as if this experience were some sort of anomaly, but after reading others' reviews I realized this seems to be very commonplace at least for their recent history. I honestly hope they make changes. They need to clean better, they need towels that fit at least halfway around an adult body, they need to trust enough to leave towels where people can access pool towels without barriers, they need better concierge staff, courtyard should be non-smoking.

The front desk staff was rude, the room smelled bad, and there was even a used toothbrush in the washroom. The mattress was rock hard and very uncomfortable. The only good part of the stay was the water park.

The bed was like sleeping on a piece of wood- very uncomfortable.

Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and our room included water park passes which was a plus. However the water park is smaller than others. Location is convenient and close drive to Niagara Falls. However, our toilet handle broke and no one came to fix.

The room is not sound proof. You’ll hear noises from the hallway and unit above. Waterpark is good.

The staff are very friendly and approachable. The water park was excellent the kids loved it. Im rating 3 stars because we werent able to use wifi or t.v in room. We were told the wifi was probably slow because of the amount of people using it. And the tv kept om freezing. So we were not happy with that even though it was supposed to be included in our stay

The 1star overall rating is for the resort's managers and one frontdesk person; the very people who represent the resort. The resort itself is nice for families. I needed a replacement waterpark wristband for my son who lost his at the same waterpark. After the frontdesk person gave me a hard time about it, I ended up speaking with the assistant manager who falsely claimed he was the 'manager' and he was insistant I pay for a new wristband with no exceptions. I feel this customer treatment was exceptionally poor for someone who just spent alot of money on 2 rooms for 3 nights as I had invited some of our friends with us. We have stayed at this resort previously and we recommended it to our friends who were excited to go there.The wristband was just a piece of paper but the 'manager' was adamant for me to pay for it. I did not pay. After our stay I emailed the 'sales manager' with my concerns of him and first frontdesk person and about my poor experience and she has not even replied to me; very unprofessional behaviour. I recommend the resort as a nice place to stay with your family but I hope you do not have to deal with these 3 unprofessional people who need further customer service training. These companies wonder why they are given poor ratings from customers, and then they give you a poor experience like this. Do the owners of the resort know about these poor experiences? And what do you think me and my friends talked about the rest of the stay??

The check-in was a disaster. While the staff was very competent and kind, I waited for over 1/2 an hour in a line to check in. The hotel room was exactly as advertised. Very clean, but older hotel. Activities as advertised, my older teens (adults) loved the basketball net. The issue was the room smelled like smoke, not recent smoke. The room had smelled like smoke for years. The front desk offered to try to freshen the room but this would not have helped and I was afraid it would smell like perfume. As I am terribly allergic to cigarette smoke, I had to book another hotel for the 2nd night.

Hotel needs to work on people who make noise in the hallways around midnight and addess it. Overall it was a great experience but need to take some ownership in assuring quiet hours.

Was not informed that expedia booking doesn’t cover parking fee, and when I arrived early and asked if room happened to be ready we were greeted with a hefty early check in fee that isn’t posted or mentioned on the hotel’s website. Definitely not the deal we were expecting. Room is decent but headboards and side tables still needed a good wipe down.

Lucy did an excellent job and very enthusiastic all throughout the process. We booked 5 rooms for the entire family and she made the check in process convenient and stress free for us.

this is my 2nd visit in 1 month My check in was great and friendly received a great welcome smile from Lucy and Alex once checked in and made it to my room- it was a bit loud by the kids kicking the joining room door- i went downstairs and requested a different room and right away Lucy was willing to help long with Alex they made my business stay a lot better

Not walkable to other places in Niagara. Go to for resort with kids. But not to explore/walk to falls.

Clean and spacious room. Bed wasn’t overly comfortable though. Very close to grocery store, gas and restaurants. Never went to Waterpark so not sure how that was. Hours were limited for it. Not sure why it’s necessary to pay a parking fee. It’s not close to the falls so $25 for parking is ridiculous.

It was in a very convenient and quiet area . Everything and staff was friendly and respectful, I enjoy the meals at the Boston and the water area and garden was just the icing This was my second year and my family and I already planning for next year. We love the Americano

This property was perfect for our 4 grandsons ages 6-11 years of age. We had a great time at the waterpark. It is not huge compared to other waterparks but a good size to keep our eyes on them at all times with plenty to do! The hotel is laid out perfectly with an arcade, playground, basketball courts and picnic area. The restaurants are great and handy as well as the location with Freshco next door and plenty of fast food chains nearby. The hotel suites are clean and well appointed with kitchenettes and balcony or patios. Our waterpark passes were included and could be used on each day we were there. The Falls were within 5-10 minutes driving time. It was a perfect little getaway with kids!

Lots of dining and entertainment options. Nice staff especially at the restaurants and enjoyed the beautiful spa. Waterpark better geared towards younger kids. Be aware that the hotel parking costs money. Suite rooms were nice and very spacious but no complimentary shampoo offered.

Kids had a great time. The Boston pizza was packed because of the baseball game. Waited almost an hour for a table. Ended up just getting take out and eating in the room. Should made a reservation which was totally my fault.

DO NOT pay for the buffet breakfast. It’s the quality of a free motel 6 breakfast but they charge $19 per adult and charge gratuity plus two separate HST. Ended up being $47 for awful. Crazy rip off. Also only meat options are pork.

A few more dining options would be really helpful.

The resort is clean, staffs were friendly and helpful, the waterpark is nice but the food didn't taste good. Both at breakfast and the waterpark. Their eggs tasted like nothing. Other then that, i loved it

We were very impressed with the location! Super convenient with the waterpark and arcade. Waterpark was very well kept and enjoyed by my teenager and my 6 year old. The room was very comfortable and overall clean. Maybe a better vacuuming effort but overall very good! They gave discounts for the restaurants in house. Had to pay for parking (not included with Expedia) but otherwise no other expenses. We would definitely stay again!

Fun water park to take the little ones and young kids for the day but I will not go back to the breakfast place.

Loved the water park, not busy so line ups were short. Clean waterpark. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff were friendly. Check in was quick. Boston pizza and staff there were amazing. Nice to have the restaurant on site. Beds were not comfortable, pillows were chunky as if they were washed in a machine. The breakfast buffet was interesting. Our bill for a similar to continental breakfast anywhere else came to $60 for two adults and two ten year olds. When we paid there was a $20 tip added which we had not authorized. When asked about it, the waitress said gratuity was automatic. We were not told this and when we paid debit. It asked at the end for a tip so 15% was added. So in the end 15% was added on top of the automatic tip. The waitress did give back the 15% but the whole thing was a little sketchy. The breakfast was not good. I have definitely had continental breakfasts that were better.

The hotels needs a refurbished soon. The rooms are big but they has a humidify smell. The micro looks inside like someone burned something on it and anything you put inside will come out smelling the same. The rooms was clean overall but those looks kind of rundown. The hallways smell like chlorine and there is no vending machine beside the one at the main lobby that has anything on it all empty.. The water park is good and the water has good temperature. There is like a cafe next to the pool in the arcade which the price are really high and basically serve the same thing you can get at the restaurant cheaper. Example chicken tender were 17.99. At the restaurant you get for around 9.50 the same chicken tenders fries a drink and a desert. The buffet breakfast is small and to my belief pricey. I was informed at check in tot he hotel that kids 3 and under eat for free at the breakfast and same thing told me the waitress who sit us but when the other waitress came to charge me I was getting charge for my 3 yeas old kid and I told her what I was informed at check in and she kept insisting that o was misinformed that the free breakfast was for 2 and under but she will check with some one. She came back and did not charge me for the 3 years old kid. Overall my kids had a good time in the Waterpark
