Quality Hotel in Osaka. A bit dated, but still excellent. Excellent service. Good sized rooms. Access to a decent, large, swimming pool for about 2,200 Yen. Nice area by the river. A couple of restaurants in the immediate vicinity, with many walkable in about 15 minutes over the bridge. (Also a further 3 in the hotel, although we didn't try those). We were staying in another hotel in Osaka which was a dump and we relocated here. Despite losing a couple of nights already paid for in the other hotel, I don't regret the decision to move for a second.

We loved our stay at the Imperial Hotel. The shuttle bus runs to Osaka station and back every 20 minutes which was super convenient. The pool, gym and sauna facilities were insanely priced at 5500 yen per use but we didn’t book for this reason so we weren’t phased. Would definitely stay again!

Ideally situated on river with a short walk to Osaka Castle and convenient to Osaka Kids Plaza However it wasn't until after we booked that hotel stated pool is only for 20 years and older so not truly family friend. Without coupon, the breakfast buffet is very expensive

In general Japanese staff are always extremely professional. The biggest issue we have with this hotel is that its gym facilities open only to club members and hotel guests have to pay a high price (almost the same as a one evening stay in the hotel) in order to go. This really is a bumper and it makes us feel less welcoming in this hotel.

Great hotel and amazing views from the river facing room. We could see the Sakura in full bloom! The staff can be a more cordial. Being efficient is good but being rude and effecient is not. The hotel was immaculate but somehow the bedsheets and duvet covera smelt bad. They could do with some fabric fresheners in their laundry!

I stayed in a room on the imperial floor. The room was large and fully stocked with amenities. It had a nice view overlooking the river. The hotel has a number of excellent restaurants. We were upgraded to a fabulous Suite. Really extra special with all the trappings. Keep in mind this hotel IS NOT, in the CBD, but in an area that is quiet and has few conveniences right around the close proximity But the Hotel is Grand and the Staff is Top Rated.

Check was good, but the reception personnel English is very very poor. The majority of guests that I saw at checkin were all English speakers, so how does they deal with these guests? It’s very bad for us if we cannot understand what they are saying, specially at a hotel like this. Room service had better English and the service was prompt. Concierge at check out was awful. The manager and staff were just standing and chatting while the guests are waiting to be helped. When I called for luggage to be collected no one came, so I went down myself to get them to collect my luggage. Then I had to ask many times for help to get a taxi to the airport. This is very poor service. On arrival I was also very disappointed that no one was at the door and I had to go inside to get someone to help the help the taxi driver and take the luggage.

From the greeting we received when we first arrived to the service we received shipping our bags when we left, everything was wonderful. We have recommended the Imperial hotel Osaka to family and friends already. Shipping our luggage was confusing as we have never experienced this magical service in the USA. The Bell desk made the process easy. We felt very confident about the whole thing. Breakfast buffet was great. The staff is helpful, polite and knowledgeable. We appreciated their willingness to help in English. It was a great stay and we will be back.

Simply the Best! From the first moment of check-in to final departure, everything was absolutely perfect. The "standard" room was by Japanese standards, extremely spacious and well-appointed. The breakfast buffet was excellent.. The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle bus service between Osaka Station and the hotel. Best of all, all service personnel I interacted with were extremely friendly and professional. This was hands down the best hotel I stayed in on my 25-day Japan trip. I'm glad I somehow stumbled upon it!

Not in the center of action in Osaka, but the hotel provides shuttle to the heart of downtown every 20 minutes. Very quiet and serene location by the river. First and second floor restaurants had very nice food. Rooms were really good size and very clean. But what stands out the most at this hotel is their service quality and staff. Top notch.

Not on any convenient transportation routes, you have to go to Shin-Osaka to get the Shinkansen or to get other areas. Wonderful staff! The hotel is not geared for tourists but more for events/weddings etc. The amenities were mediocre compared to other places we’ve stayed and the food was bad - do not recommend eating there.

Incredible property. Solid breakfast and it is 4,000 yen in person so definitely add it before, it is high quality and worth it (I paid separately, much to my chagrin). Beautiful property. Everything is good. Two small things need to be awarded of: Breakfast was too crowded at 7:00AM. If you want to have breakfast, after 7:30 is better. Reservations for onsite restaurants are extremely hard.

According to Hotels.com this is a 5 star hotel, in our opinion we preferencer the 4 star holtes we had in Japan over this. This hotel has lots of staff and provides services that you don’t really need like a newspaper (in paper) brought to your door every morning, free shuttle bus to the train station and staff to carry your luggage to the room. Breakfast was of good quality, even though it felt overcrowded with staff. On the other hand, rooms are small and the room interior feels quite dated. While all our other hotels in Japan had a free mini-bar you had to pay for everything at this hotel. The worse was that you had to pay a quite high price to use the gym and an additional high fee to use the pool. The pool was for adults only, so our teen daughters were not allowed. All in all quite disappointing.

Imperial Hotel Osaka is a 5 star + Hotel with the kindest staff, beautiful decor and furnishings, amazing views and top notch restaurants. We were treated so well from the second we stepped out of our Uber all the way to checking out of the hotel. We will return to Osaka in the future and stay here again.

This property, I learned, is now 30 years old but it looks pristine. The rooms are wonderfully laid out and the staff were amazing. The breakfast, which was included with our room, is not to be missed. I would recommend booking an Imperial Floor room so as to gain access to the lounge which has an incredible view of the city at night.
