I loved the property... Only 2 issues: 1. At the Spa when i went to get a massage, I was not able to use the amenities... this was an inconvenience as everywhere in the world where you get a massage you get to use the amenities of the spa (jacuzzi, etc..). 2. There was not enough shade at the beach - not enough umbrellas for a family hotel with kids and grandparents that need shade. Also my dad was handicapped and he wasn't able to sit in the reclinable chairs. The beach needs different types of chairs for handicapped guests.

I really love the place for all options available for kids . Shows , pools , water park and entertainment. Price is affordable and some of the staff are good. Food is good I will stay away from products containing milk . All overall it’s good.

everything was great about this resort. My family and i are planning to return very soon. We enjoyed the room service specifically for breakfast time as we love to sleep in. No elevators was a bummer specially since i had a one year old and a 3 year old but after a day or two we got used to it. For the most part we were out on the pool or beach so we didnt use the stairs as much.

Overall hotel and staff quality is high. I also liked cleanliness of facilities. Ocean is clean and beautiful. The only concern is availability of sun umbrellas in family section of the beach. 10 umbrellas per entire beach is no way enough!!!

El hotel esta viejo ,tiene muchas oportunidades de mejora, en cuanto a infraestructura se refiere, y para lo que cuesta no ofrece buena comida, aun en el buffet mantienen el mètodo de que son ellos quienes sirven la comida, mobiliario muy desgastado en gran mayoria en el buffet y restaurantes sin aire acondicionado, el personal es servicial, lo que mejor tiene son las areas de piscina.

Pontos positivos: estrutura do hotel, instalações e praia. Tudo lindo e maravilhoso. Academia ótima. Camareiras excelentes. O lado adulto é ótimo. Pontos negativos: atendimento do buffet demorado e funcionários que servem a comida mau humorados. Sem atenção com o que pedimos. Demoram. Bebida leva uma vida pra chegar./ Enorme dificuldade em encontrar uma cadeira na praia ou na piscina./ O hotel cobra 120US$ pra utilizar as camas bangalô da piscina. Ficam vazias e os hóspedes sem cadeira pra sentar. Pedimos ajuda ao funcionário e nos deu 2 cadeiras super distantes da piscina para nossa família de 6./ comida em geral não é ruim mas também não eh ótima./ Não há lixeiras pelo hotel./ atendimento dos bares da praia e piscina desorganizados e superrrr lentos. Deveriam ter águas, refrigerante e outras bebidas no gelo e livre para os clientes que os desejam não precisarem entrar na fila dos drinks. Os funcionários pouco interessados em agilizar o atendimento e ficam conversando entre si, lavando a bancada ao invés de atender. Uma pena, pois o hotel em si é muito bonito.

We just left after spending a week at Hilton La Romana and already are planning our return next year. We went with a group of kids and grandparents and the resort was perfect for everyone. The food at the buffet was never boring or repetitive. We were excited each night to see the special surprises prepared. We did not feel the need to eat at the a la carte dining. The pools were lovely. The beach spectacular. And the water park was a hit! Like. Private water slide park with no lines! The only critique is that the gym is too small for the resort size. Especially crowded at peak hours. The staff were amazing. Everyone. From the dining service, the kids club staff, the house keeping crew, the life guards. Everyone was wonderful. Yes it’s true they speak Spanish but it’s a foreign country. Deal with it! Or stay home. Last - the nightly shows were absolutely beyond what we expected. Each night amazing and really blew away what we anticipated. The circus was especially great but the real star was Michael Jackson Show! Wow We are coming back next year. No doubt. And many guests we met said they were return visitors.

Beautiful looking facility, well maintained. The Fun Team staff was excellent and engaging. I loved them all. Gym was too small, you ran out of towels almost daily in the gym (this is unacceptable). It was very difficult to find an open chair at the beach under the umbrellas. You need more chairs. You should have organized water sports with the Fun Team. It was not until the last day that I stumbled upon the water equipment. Why is this not announced to guests as an available option? The Daily itenary should be placed under our room door every night for the next day. We should not have to walk to the lobby to get one. The drinks are awful --too sweet and barely any alcohol in them. The restaurant food was not very good. ALL of the meats in all the restaurants were over cooked and dry. I would NOT go back to Hilton La Romana.

Absolutely beautiful property. Height requirement for waterslides 120 cm or 47”, not strictly enforced, but there were never any double tubes available. We literally waited an hour one day to use one and had to ask another patron to borrow theirs as people would take them to their chairs. Dining is pretty bad at the grill. Put our name down at 7 pm, got sat at 9pm, food arrived at 10pm, received 1/2 my order and when I let them know, I was told kitchen was closed! Kids must be 10 years old to use trampoline with bungee and 7 years old to ride on a kayak, paddleboard, or hobby craft, even with a parent. My son has done all these activities elsewhere in the US at 4 years old, so why so strict? Japanese restaurant offered the best food. Some amazing service from staff and kids club. Kids club is fantastic and available daily from 9-9pm. Overall wonderful experience. Great snorkeling right off the beach. Also large sandy area with no waves perfect for the little ones.

Out of 5 days we were staying at the resort, we had problems on all 5. We encountered a broken AC; water leak (formed a large puddle on a floor and got my stuff wet); on days 3-5 we had ant infestation that began with hundreds of ants crawling around. The staff fumigated the room twice per my request, which reduced the number of ants (although did not eliminate them), but also caused a persistent annoying smell that forced us to stay out of the room as much as we could for 2 days. About half of the high-chairs in the buffet was broken (missing the central strap, so the kid could easily slip out and fall). I was extremely disappointed by the quality of my stay, and the management didn't do much besides "we are sorry you were not satisfied"

The food was so incredibly horrible. Three times we ordered room service, the pasta had spoiled meat, the cream cheese was spoiled and the avocado was overripe. The food otherwise was bland. The buffet was dirty, the surrounding areas of it- the fruit had fruit flies literally everywhere and being served to people from behind a glass window. Even fries were terrible. Food was limited and couldn’t be pool side - which if you have little ones- you’re really forced to pack up everything to go get food (have to be dressed to go in). The room was also dirty- had fruit flies and when we asked for the trash they said it was too late and would do it next day despite telling them there were fruit flies everywhere. The beds smelled like mildew and when asked to change the pillows, they said sure and never did. Overall not a great experience- although all inclusive - just felt burdensome to get anything. The day care is for kids 4 years , anything less- a parent has to be present. We also book a partial ocean view, and we could barely see any of th ocean. Disappointing to say the least, especially for a Hilton brand hotel. The lobby we had to avoid because of the sales people who constantly tried to get you to sign up for an information session-

This hotel is situated in a beautiful spot in Bayahibe. You have beautiful views of the ocean with boats in the background. The beach is smaller than what you’d find in Punta Cana but this also adds to its charm. The staff is wonderful! The burgers, beach bbq scene and poolside pizza are delicious. The food in the restaurants is not very good. The rooms are clean but many of the rooms smell musty and the air conditioning isn’t as efficient as we would’ve liked it to be.

The hotel is beautiful, VERY clean and the staff very welcoming and accommodating. I went for a weekend wedding and had a wonderful time. The only set back was our room had a moldy smell (partial ocean view) and my parents room smelled like pest control chemicals. My husband and I enjoyed a couples massage at the beautfil spa however, I did not receive the $25 per person Expedia credit for spa services that I was entitled to and had to request multiple times the bottle of wine (a welcome gift) as an Expedia VIP member. Their seems to be a lack of communication between the hotel staff and Expedia.

Out of 5 days we were staying at the resort, we had problems on all 5. We encountered a broken AC; water leak (formed a large puddle on a floor and got my stuff wet); on days 3-5 we had ant infestation that began with hundreds of ants crawling around. The staff fumigated the room twice per my request, which reduced the number of ants (although did not eliminate them), but also caused a persistent annoying smell that forced us to stay out of the room as much as we could for 2 days. About half of the high-chairs in the buffet was broken (missing the central strap, so the kid could easily slip out and fall). I was extremely disappointed by the quality of my stay, and the management didn't do much besides "we are sorry you were not satisfied"

The resort is quiet, nice music in the pool area, i liked that there is a spot for smoking, and people are not smoking in the pool right on your kid's noses. Dining, they have few options, but nothing special with the specialty restaurants, did not try the adult's side because I was with family. Waternpark is nice, four options of slides. And lazy river, there is a food truck serving snacks, the cooker could learn how to fry, onion rings were a greasy mess. Food on buffet is nice, slightly over average resort food, sometimes very few options of meats or go veggie, the food on display is protected by glass, so people are not talking all over your food, they have servers on each station so you just ask whatever you need. Room was modern, nice appliances and clean. Entertainment is really good, excellent team of dancers, they put on a good show every night. There's an area for teens with video and table games, should have some arcade machines also, because sometimes all are occupied. Overall good size, not so big, walkable. On an additional note, they should treat everyone equal, they are not exactly rude, but us dominicans leave to fend for yourself and have to ask twice most of the time as they pay more attention to the typical tourist, there were a bunch of rowdy south americans yelling and disrupting all over the place, and they were all smiles. You know, everybody is a paying customer and most know how to write reviews and leave tips.

The water park was a great feature for the kids. Good place to go and unwind after an excursion. The room was spacious for a family of 4 and great view of the ocean. Staff was always kind and eager to assist. The food was good, but not great. It would have been nice if the hibachi restaurant allowed for kids. The Peruvian restaurant needs an improvement with their service. We found ourselves waiting for an extended period of time to order and get our food. On the other hand, the service at The Grill was top notch and the spice buffet was also attentive. Overall an amazing property. We would definitely consider this hotel an option again on the future.

Hotel property is really pretty. 80% of staff is very nice, other 20% they either dislike being asked things or they just hate their job. You can tell they are understaffed (and overbooked) so this is why they might not have ideal staff on each role and they struggled to check in guests on time and to correct rooms. Room smelled like humidity all trip long and they couldn't solve it (they didn't even offer to change rooms) our “personal concierge” wasn't really even a “concierge” and he tried to sell us a “family promotion” almost every day so be aware of that. The two tours we did were phenomenal! (Snorkel trip to Isla Catalina) and 9-in-1 activities in a park. Best part of trip. Restaurants were good (not great) with the buffet being always best option. Spa was “ok” masseuses are not as good as Ive seen in other places. Wife got stung by bee and when we went to get cream in “first aid area” they wanted to charge us $200. Crazy Overall good for families given price but they need to improve staff, relay expectations about place from get go and get better at room readiness.

Beautiful property with nice dining options and plenty to do for a family with young children. Everything was super clean and the staff was very kind and helpful. We were happy with most of the food options (would not recommend the rib eye at The Grill, it was thin, dry and hard to eat). We did the Enclave upgrade which I felt was worth it for the addituonal meal options. We used the main pool most of the time though because it was better for our kids who are still young. Also the Enclave rooms are by where they have weddings and events, so Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights were quite loud until about 10pm or so...at least that was our experience so maybe inquire with the property about room location if that would bother you. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The resort is beautiful and everyone who works there is so friendly and ready to help, they were all great!

The real issue is the service, or the lack of it. One hour late to give us a room, then they lost out luggage for a further hour. Every single staff member made our stay perfect. •Sara & Veronica in the Premium lounge helped make out stay go as smooth as possible. •William, Noel, Osvaldo & Angel in The Grill Restaurant made us feel right at home. •Wilkin & Victor at Noor Restaurant made sure anything we asked for wasn’t out of their reach. •The Bell boys; Rodolfo, Soto & Garo were so pleasant. Joselyn was the supervisor, always made sure all our things were kept safe.

The front desk personal seemed rather indifferent to my questions (schedule of activities, nearby grocery stores, price I should expect to pay for fresh coconut water) and any information they gave seemed more geared towards getting rid of me than being helpful. The front desk personal (including assistant manager) failed to honor a $25 room credit at checkout that several other hotel employees told me should count for gift store purchases. The checkout staff claimed the credit can only be used for the spa but this contradicted what I was told by staff at the spa, gift shop, and front desk the previous day. It did not seem to matter to the checkout staff that I was told the credit was for any purchase made at the hotel. The Amount in question was not a whole lot ($25) but the indifference of the front desk staff and assistant manager to apply a $25 credit I was promised by several hotel employees I think shows that at the end of the day these guys don't really care a whole lot about customer service.

The hotel is nice but they waste your time with a timeshare like scheme. After wasting your time they said that they would give you a credit for $200, but then magically the paperwork gets lost when you are checking out and there is no credit. They also are all inclusive but constantly are trying to upsell you. The staff is friendly. Food is okay. Rooms are okay.

We just left after spending a week at Hilton La Romana and already are planning our return next year. We went with a group of kids and grandparents and the resort was perfect for everyone. The food at the buffet was never boring or repetitive. We were excited each night to see the special surprises prepared. We did not feel the need to eat at the a la carte dining. The pools were lovely. The beach spectacular. And the water park was a hit! Like. Private water slide park with no lines! The only critique is that the gym is too small for the resort size. Especially crowded at peak hours. The staff were amazing. Everyone. From the dining service, the kids club staff, the house keeping crew, the life guards. Everyone was wonderful. Yes it’s true they speak Spanish but it’s a foreign country. Deal with it! Or stay home. Last - the nightly shows were absolutely beyond what we expected. Each night amazing and really blew away what we anticipated. The circus was especially great but the real star was Michael Jackson Show! Wow We are coming back next year. No doubt. And many guests we met said they were return visitors.

Amazing... Everything went so smooth I was impressed. Staff goes above and beyond to make guests happy. Truly beautiful place but without stuff's genuine treatment it would've been just another hotel. So far it was the best vaca ever!

The property was fantastic! The staff was hands down the friendliest and so happy to help with anything. Our favorite bartender is Edwin, at the swim up bar...his fellow bartenders at the swim up bar were the kindest people. But Edwin was absolutely our family favorite, he was always smiling and so wonderful. We also loved picasso (aka Pablo Picasso) he was so genuine and kind! Every employee was so kind, considerate, and acommodating. The pools were fantastic! The food options were fabulous and delicious. Drink were all great as well. We cannot wait to go back next year! Only suggestion is the music by the pools i wish was more carribean, not cover bands playing todays hits.

The property was beautiful and well maintained. We enjoyed the beach, but could not walk far along due to it being partitioned off for the adults only side. We traveled with our young children. There was no seaweed in the water, and the surf was very calm. We also were not able to go into half of the all inclusive advertised restaurants due to them being in the adults only side. The worst part our trip was The Playa Collection salespeople hounding you every time you walk through the lobby. Avoid them at all costs! The hotel should really get rid of them! Very annoying! This property is great. I stayed on the family side with my 16 year old daughter. The amenities are top notch. The staff especially Ronaldo (bellman) and Beinvenido (main buffet) were amazing. Everyone went above and beyond to make the experience unforgettable. 5 stars!

I didn't appreciate having to pay $15 a day to leave the hotel.... (shuttles to main road....? ) didn't appreciate being asked every 2 minutes who I was .. (ROOM# )or where i was going.... (if they are so secure... why bother clients... ???) I'm all for security , but, not letting people on THE COMPOUND to pick you up..after providing car and driver info... they want EVERYONE'S ID. ...yeah. Not for me, staff was great ... awesome.. went out their way , rules need to be addressed.... not convenient

We stayed for almost a week and everyone was very friendly. Romona was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating to us when we needed something. Can’t say the same for the staff at the front desk the ladies were not much of a help and didn’t take the extra steps to accommodate us when we needed something. Other than that I’d definitely go back again! The beach was absolutely incredible!!!!!

The property is absolutely beautiful it is kept very clean the downside is if you do not upgrade your food options are very minimal. I would also have to say compared to Cancun the service is very slow especially at dinner time. If you have children or you like water parks in general theirs is great. I also loved the beach it was like bath water very beautiful and relaxing. Eating the buffet everyday is annoying and you get tiered of it quickly. Coffee shop was a nice touch also pizza by family pool was great and fresh. Bathrooms smelled amazing. Had a issue at waterpark for two days was advised there blender didnt work or there was no fruit or no ice but buffet had all of these suppliesd.. in Cancun if that happens they send a worker to another restaurant to get the supplies needed . we as customers pay a lot of money and there shouldn't be any excuse because theres no ice or no bananas at the moment. The blender did work becsuse pina coladas were still being made fir kids. We avised concerige however never recieved anything feedback from it. The grill was orobobly best dinner i had there buffet for breakfast only.

This hotel is situated in a beautiful spot in Bayahibe. You have beautiful views of the ocean with boats in the background. The beach is smaller than what you’d find in Punta Cana but this also adds to its charm. The staff is wonderful! The burgers, beach bbq scene and poolside pizza are delicious. The food in the restaurants is not very good. The rooms are clean but many of the rooms smell musty and the air conditioning isn’t as efficient as we would’ve liked it to be.

We just left after spending a week at Hilton La Romana and already are planning our return next year. We went with a group of kids and grandparents and the resort was perfect for everyone. The food at the buffet was never boring or repetitive. We were excited each night to see the special surprises prepared. We did not feel the need to eat at the a la carte dining. The pools were lovely. The beach spectacular. And the water park was a hit! Like. Private water slide park with no lines! The only critique is that the gym is too small for the resort size. Especially crowded at peak hours. The staff were amazing. Everyone. From the dining service, the kids club staff, the house keeping crew, the life guards. Everyone was wonderful. Yes it’s true they speak Spanish but it’s a foreign country. Deal with it! Or stay home. Last - the nightly shows were absolutely beyond what we expected. Each night amazing and really blew away what we anticipated. The circus was especially great but the real star was Michael Jackson Show! Wow We are coming back next year. No doubt. And many guests we met said they were return visitors.

The facilities are really great, beautiful and in manicured condition. The beach is gorgeous as well. However the food service needs to improve. It is not in accordance with a 5 star hotel, neither on quality or service. Peruvian and italian restaurants were disappointing, and you would expect a long time waiting for your food no matter which restaurant you are.

The food was so incredibly horrible. Three times we ordered room service, the pasta had spoiled meat, the cream cheese was spoiled and the avocado was overripe. The food otherwise was bland. The buffet was dirty, the surrounding areas of it- the fruit had fruit flies literally everywhere and being served to people from behind a glass window. Even fries were terrible. Food was limited and couldn’t be pool side - which if you have little ones- you’re really forced to pack up everything to go get food (have to be dressed to go in). The room was also dirty- had fruit flies and when we asked for the trash they said it was too late and would do it next day despite telling them there were fruit flies everywhere. The beds smelled like mildew and when asked to change the pillows, they said sure and never did. Overall not a great experience- although all inclusive - just felt burdensome to get anything. The day care is for kids 4 years , anything less- a parent has to be present. We also book a partial ocean view, and we could barely see any of th ocean. Disappointing to say the least, especially for a Hilton brand hotel. The lobby we had to avoid because of the sales people who constantly tried to get you to sign up for an information session-

We stayed here for 6 nights across in December 2024 and had a wonderful time. The most impressive thing was the grounds. They were beautifully kept with gorgeous trees and vegetation. The pools were large with plenty of space and the water park was a big hit with our kids. The beach was lovely too, and having all these different areas to visit each day meant our 6 and 9 year olds were happy and entertained. The staff were lovely too. The only thing I think could be improved was the food. We tried a couple of the restaurants but you can't make reservations so this meant waiting behind 7-10 other families which didn't really work with hungry, impatient kids! Also the food in the restaurants didn't appear to be a better quality than the buffet (I had a pasta dish in the Italian restaurant where the prawns were a strange texture and definitely weren't fresh), so we stuck to the buffet after that to make the most of having a wider choice. It was also a shame that menus at the restaurants were via a QR code - I like to leave my phone in the room on holiday. Overall we had a great time and I would recommend for families!

A wonderful property. Everything about it is 5-star, except the food which I give 5-stars for variety, but 4-stars for quality. But then, they are running 6-8 different restaurants, so it’s understandable. The staff are all wonderful - helpful and friendly. I can’t imagine why any family would take a cruise when this beautiful place is available with more and better entertainment options.

Absolutely beautiful property. Height requirement for waterslides 120 cm or 47”, not strictly enforced, but there were never any double tubes available. We literally waited an hour one day to use one and had to ask another patron to borrow theirs as people would take them to their chairs. Dining is pretty bad at the grill. Put our name down at 7 pm, got sat at 9pm, food arrived at 10pm, received 1/2 my order and when I let them know, I was told kitchen was closed! Kids must be 10 years old to use trampoline with bungee and 7 years old to ride on a kayak, paddleboard, or hobby craft, even with a parent. My son has done all these activities elsewhere in the US at 4 years old, so why so strict? Japanese restaurant offered the best food. Some amazing service from staff and kids club. Kids club is fantastic and available daily from 9-9pm. Overall wonderful experience. Great snorkeling right off the beach. Also large sandy area with no waves perfect for the little ones.
