We stayed at Dosso Dossi hotel for 4 nights on our recent visit to Istanbul and it was very good. Here's a comprehensive review of the hotel. The good(s): 1) We booked an executive room and was provided one on the first floor. It was spacious and had everything we needed. The bathroom was clean and has other amenities. 2) The location was central within close proximity of Hagia Sophia. Plenty of travel options whether it is by foot, tram or taxi. 3) Breakfast was brilliant and we had a very filling and satisfactory breakfast every day. There were plenty of options with a English and Turkish spread and loads of desserts, puddings and fruits. 4) Staff really go an extra mile. Kudos to the reception team and concierge (apologies didn't note down the names) who were very good and helped with our queries everytime. We also loved the work done by the guy who painted our names in the ottoman style outside breakfast lounge. Can be better: 1) The carpets were really dirty, don't know whether this was due to the weather but they looked very worn and patchy. 2) It was very noisy in the morning. The walls must be thin and as we were close to the stairs, reception and above the kitchen, it got noisy after 6am every day. Road noises weren't that bad despite being on the 1st floor facing off to the streets below. 3) The gym was very well equipped but a bit too congested due to smaller size. The worst hotel experience, the room was dusty, the bathroom was mouldy, the toilet tissue was the worst quality and harsh, it gave me rash. The room had a bad smell in it. The food and the fruits were left open all night, there were flies on the open food. The pictures at the time of booking showed pool in them but there were none. Check your location before you book because they arent the same. The staff are unprofessional, they have no sense of customer service, they were eating in front of us while cooking.

Fantastic hotel in the heart of Old City Istanbul. Walking distance from tourist attractions such as Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Grand Bazaar and others. Lots of shops and eateries nearby, so options are plentiful. Spa facilities and treatment are 5 star!! Highly recommend Dosso Dossi Old City

Great service at the hotel. The staff were amazing. However, my only complaint is with the airport transfer via the hotel. The transfer service forced an extra Euro 20 from us stating that due to an accident at 6 am, an alternative route would be taken. I checked the navigation before the departure and the roads were clear. The hotel should bring this up for future guests.

Great property, amazing location, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Good big rooms as well as great breakfast options. The hotel also does a complimentary evening tea and snacks service which is amazing. All tourist spots are walking distance from this hotel.

Hotel is located in the old city center, one block from Basilica Cisterns. Friendly staff, airport car arrangements worked well, good breakfast. Room is very small, but comfortable and clean.

Chegamos ao hotel por volta das 22h e, ao retornarmos do jantar, constatamos que o vaso sanitário estava sujo. Informei a recepção, mas fui comunicado de que, naquele horário, nada poderia ser feito. No dia seguinte, relatei o ocorrido ao gerente, que pediu desculpas. Ao solicitar um upgrade de quarto, foi informado um valor muito elevado. Além disso, o box apresentava problema de escoamento, causando alagamento no banheiro.

Für einen Städtetrip ist das Hotel in Ordnung. Durch seine Lage kommt man zu Fuß schnell von A nach B. Die nächste Station der Metro ist ca 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Für Familien mit Kinderwagen sollte man wissen, dass das Hotel in einem etwas steileren Berg liegt (Istanbul ist generell etwas hügeliger). Dennoch ist die Lage wirklich sehr gut - direkt in der Nähe der Hagia Sophia und des Sultanahmetplatzes - beides ca. in 5-10 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Unser Zimmer war okay. Teilweise lag unter Schränken noch Müll von den vorherigen Gästen. Bei der Ankunft war der Teppichboden, der im ganzen Zimmer liegt, an einer Stelle noch nass und man ist leider mit den Socken auf diese Stelle getreten sodass die Socke nass war (ich hoffe einfach, dass es durch die Reinigung des Zimmerservice war). Als Ausblick hatten wir eine Wand des Hauses Gegenüber (ca 2 Meter vom Fenster entfernt) welche geschmückt war mit Kunstrasen. Das Frühstück war leider kaum genießbar, wodurch wir dies nur einmal in Anspruch genommen haben. Die Koffer konnten wir am letzten Tag noch den ganzen Tag im Hotel stehen lassen sowie auch unseren Kinderwagen. Wir durften trotzdem immer wieder an die Koffer ran, um zB die Klamotten zu wechseln oder ähnliches. Das Personal war wirklich sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Alles in allem sticht das Hotel durch seine gute Lage hervor. Für Personen, die sich kaum im Hotel aufhalten und die Stadt erkunden wollen ist es dennoch ausreichend.

Hotel located near most attractions. Very convenient location and close to transportation. We stayed on the first floor with windows looking the street, and you can hear noise coming in from the cars passing by. Room was spacious, but no wardrobe to store your clothes, just few hangers. Breakfast was good. not much variety. Overall average hotel with good location.

ツインルームで予約していましたが、案内されたのはダブルルームで少しがっかりしました。部屋に入ってから気づいたため、わざわざ変更をお願いするのも面倒でそのまま宿泊しました。案の定あまり眠れなかったので事前にリクエスト欄などで念押ししておけばよかったと思いました。 部屋自体は清潔で快適ですがシャワーのみです。立地はとても良く、有名な観光地にも徒歩で行けたので観光には便利でした。朝食も種類が豊富で味もよくとても満足です。

Betten gut !! - für mich wichtig da ich sonst Rückenschmerzen habe. Wir hatten für unser Doppelbett e große Zudecke, da wir das so nicht gewohnt sind , bat ich um 2 separate Zudecken....das wurde innerhalb von 10 min erledigt. We could not have hoped for a better hotel and sometimes you strike it lucky and this hotel really did deliver. Its a 4* but could easily be a 5*. We stayed for a full week in the junior suite and it was spacious and luxurious. The hi speed wifi is excellent, and each day I logged on for the full day, I had no issues, the internet speed was great and never dropped once. The hotel is well located, minutes from the Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque and the breakfast buffet is first class as is the décor and general helpfulness of the staff. Highly recommend this hotel, wanted to extend the stay but no availability for the suites in a really busy end of December period

The good(s): 1) We booked an executive room and was provided one on the first floor. It was spacious and had everything we needed. The bathroom was clean and has other amenities. 2) The location was central within close proximity of Hagia Sophia. Plenty of travel options whether it is by foot, tram or taxi. 3) Breakfast was brilliant and we had a very filling and satisfactory breakfast every day. There were plenty of options with a English and Turkish spread and loads of desserts, puddings and fruits. 4) Staff really go an extra mile. Kudos to the reception team and concierge (apologies didn't note down the names) who were very good and helped with our queries everytime. Super hôtel, très bien situé, personnel professionnel et gentil. Ils donnent suite aux demandes formulées et sont soucieux du client. C'est la 5eme fois que j'y séjourne, j'en ai essayé d'autres à Istanbul mais c'est le seul où je suis satisfaite sur tout. Je recommande vraiment.

Positives: Convenient access to all the main tourist sites. Negatives: In house service lacking. I asked housekeeping for iron and ironing board about a week ago and still waiting for it and am already back in UK.🙄 Asked for bathroom fan to be fixed and someone came in whilst were out and fixed one light that was faulty but not the fan. When we checked in I asked about the view which was a wall covered with artificial turf and were told curtly that only some rooms have a view at the front...something Expedia needs to make clear in their write up.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The most friendly front staff from front staff, cleaners and concierge. Was given room options on arrival. Breakfast variety every day. Für einen Städtetrip ist das Hotel in Ordnung. Durch seine Lage kommt man zu Fuß schnell von A nach B. Die nächste Station der Metro ist ca 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Für Familien mit Kinderwagen sollte man wissen, dass das Hotel in einem etwas steileren Berg liegt (Istanbul ist generell etwas hügeliger). Dennoch ist die Lage wirklich sehr gut - direkt in der Nähe der Hagia Sophia und des Sultanahmetplatzes - beides ca. in 5-10 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Unser Zimmer war okay. Teilweise lag unter Schränken noch Müll von den vorherigen Gästen. Bei der Ankunft war der Teppichboden, der im ganzen Zimmer liegt, an einer Stelle noch nass und man ist leider mit den Socken auf diese Stelle getreten sodass die Socke nass war (ich hoffe einfach, dass es durch die Reinigung des Zimmerservice war). Als Ausblick hatten wir eine Wand des Hauses Gegenüber (ca 2 Meter vom Fenster entfernt) welche geschmückt war mit Kunstrasen. Das Frühstück war leider kaum genießbar, wodurch wir dies nur einmal in Anspruch genommen haben. Die Koffer konnten wir am letzten Tag noch den ganzen Tag im Hotel stehen lassen sowie auch unseren Kinderwagen. Wir durften trotzdem immer wieder an die Koffer ran, um zB die Klamotten zu wechseln oder ähnliches. Das Personal war wirklich sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Alles in allem sticht das Hotel durch seine gute Lage hervor. Für Personen, die sich kaum im Hotel aufhalten und die Stadt erkunden wollen ist es dennoch ausreichend.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The most friendly front staff from front staff, cleaners and concierge. Was given room options on arrival. Breakfast variety every day. Exceeded my expectations for a 4 star hotel. Location excellent to main tourist attractions, shopping and food places. Would definitely stay again!

the bed in the room was against the wall, the room is really very small. The bathroom had an adequate area. the breakfast didn't have much choice.

Spa was closing at 10 and when ı went there at 9.10 I wasn’t able to get a 30min massage because they told it was closing. Bathroom was dirty, hair on ground, bin and wc brush on top of toilet. Guess they forgot to clean the ground and left it there. Front desk was very good though.
