Very disappointed that the rooftop bar and pool were being renovated so there was no access which was the main reason I booked the Esmé. In compensation the hotel offered another sister property’s pool but it was .4 miles away which kind of defeated the perk of having a rooftop pool at the property. The service was good and it was nice that they offered two complimentary drinks from 5-6pm. The location was good with a bunch of restaurants right there and it was just three blocks from the beach but the room was one of the smallest I’ve ever stayed in. Very nice that they offered complimentary bicycles which was a great bonus. All in all we had a nice stay but it would have been SO much better if the rooftop pool and bar were open…beware that there is a 45$ valet parking charge which is pretty standard for South Beach…

Amazing experience at this hotel! Rooms were small but elegant in an old money sort of way. Bed was made daily and an in-room espresso machine made for a relaxing morning. Rooftop pool and beautiful Spanish-Mediterranean style throughout the property made it quaint. Perfect location- close to Española Way with excellent cultural dining experiences- 2 blocks from the beach and lots of shopping/dining within walking distance in all directions. 2 free drinks nightly, free 2-hour bike rental, and free beach chair and towel rental. Friendly staff including great convo with head of housekeeping who asked if there was anything she could do to make our room better. Would definitely recommend!

This hotel is very cute. It looks like a lot of money was put into it and it lives up to being 4 stars. I love that its small and boutiquey. It is 3 streets to Ocean Drive which is about a 3 minute walk. The hotel rooms are very tiny, but its good for 2 people staying in a king room. It is right next to a bunch of restaurants. They have valet service. I just didnt like that the pool water was boiling hot in July. I wish it was cooler. The rooftop bar is nice, but definitely overpriced. We paid 42$ for 2 drinks and it was too much in my opinion. The rooms are clean. Sheets are crystal white. They provide robes too. Take your own water to your room. I will stay here again if the pool water is cold next time lol.

Just checked out of the Esme and we can't wait to go back for another stay! We had a wonderful time and the staff was incredible! Everyone was so nice and attentive! Thank you to Gabrielle and Gabriel at the checkin! Charles and Fabian were awesome bellman and very helpful! Jorge made some great cocktails at the rooftop! Cantenella was a great server at the rooftop to! The amenities were incredible and the resort fee is so worth it! The property is beautiful, amazing rooftop and beautiful courtyard! And the gym is nice new and clean! The room was small so definitely want to upgrade to a larger room next time! But the bed was very comfortable and the shower was great! The food was delicious on the rooftop and at the drexel! Look forward to our next stay!

Very much enjoyed our stay at Esme Miami Beach. You walk into numerous reasturants and shops and beach are only blocks away. Chairs and towels are complementary at the beach. You need to pay for an unbrella.

Only there for one night and the reason for booking the hotel was the rooftop bar which was closed for a private party that night so we could not enjoy it. Great location but disappointed that we weee not informed sooner the rooftop would be closed so we could have made a different decision. Our bellhop even told us there was a DJ that night.

We had a great time at the hotel. Lobby is cute and smells good. Staff is very friendly and helpful. 4 stars because we were sent to a ground level room that smelled like mold mixed with chlorine. We asked to switch room to the second floor and this one was great !

The staff was super nice and the hotel is well located, close to the beach and restaurants. The rooms are really small and not well illuminated, which makes hard to stay in the room for a long time. I had to use my phone’s flashlight multiple times while looking for things since the lamps were barely shedding any light. We stayed on the annex of the hotel and had zero issues with noise from the street. But be mindful, the walls are paper thin so you’ll listen to your neighbors.

The location is amazing, and the hotel is really unique and cool. I have nothing bad to say, except that the walls are absolutelypaper thin. If you have someone staying in the floor above you, or in the rooms next to you, you can literally hear everything They’re saying. If someone is walking through the hall late at night, and you were a light sleeper, you will absolutely hear them. It didn’t bother us very much because we just put Rain Sounds on on our phone, but I can see how this would greatly bother someone else.

Hotel room needs repair. Curtain did not slide to open all the way. Barn door did not close all the way. It was installed incorrect so the lock was on the outside of bathroom. They definitely need to add more lights to the room.

Everything was lovely- except our bed was slanted on both sides, it was not comfortable and affected our sleep. Also we had a ground floor room and the footsteps upstairs kept us up. Beautiful hotel and loved the bar and restaurants. All in all we would stay again.

Esme Miami Beach has many things going for it, but unfortunately many things that hold it back too. I’ll start with the pros: Location is great, Española Way is a cool location and it’s a stones throw from the beach. Rooftop bar, this is excellent and by far the best thing about the hotel, nice little pool there and comfy seating. This is a lovely setting. Now for the cons: Room size. The rooms are tiny, we had a superior king room with a balcony and the room itself was tiny and the balcony was so small it was unusable. Bathroom, every time we used the sink or flushed the toilet a high pitched squeak would start and last about 5 minutes, very annoying. Noise, part of the location is also a con. The bars and restaurants play very loud music until about 1am and the rooms soundproofing was abysmal. The balcony doors didn’t seal when they were shut so let a huge amount of noise in. This absolutely ruined our sleep quality. The walls are also very thin, we could hear the people in the room next door snoring as if they were in the room with us. Maid service, this was inconsistent and usually done very late in the day. Towels and linens were tatty and frayed which also wasn’t ideal. This place could be an excellent hotel experience, but ultimately a lot lets it down. Not sure how Michelin are scoring hotels but a 1 key hotel doesn’t match up to a 1* restaurant.

Customer service was terrible. My friends would sometimes ask for water at the lobby and the front desk would refuse to fill up the water, as they didn’t want to leave their desk. Room service and any additional room related requests were delayed, if completed at all. Complementary champagne that was included in our booking was never provided, even when they repeatedly stated they would throughout our stay. The hotel was beautiful, the service was not.

Upon check in, I mentioned free bottle of wine owed. Was acknowledged, but did not receive bottle. I called front desk to ask if it was possibly on the way, no one answers the phone. Rather, they suggest on a voicemail that you email if you need anything from front desk. Really?! Upon emailing the front desk, a fire alarm went off. Apparently this was the 2nd in 12 hrs (the 1st of which was at 2am). At the front desk, no one acknowledged distressed and concerned guests. No direction of where to go for cover, if a false alarm, etc. Instead, yhe woman working the front desk grew irritated by questions from guests about what to do. She was so rude, I had to walk away. But not before demanding I get my free “bottle” (miniature sized) of wine. Great location. Tiny rooms. Rude service. Do better. That, or don’t work in the service industry!

This was our first trip to Florida and we were honeymooning. We had an excellent stay in a very beautiful room. Jesus, Larry and Jose were all super knowledgeable and helpful during our stay. The spacing was adequate, and the interior decorating was chic and pleasing to rest in. We had two balconies in a corner room, and it was super quiet yet centrally (and perfectly) located. Great restaurants and vibes in the area and within close walking distance to all worthwhile areas of interest. I would highly recommend and would stay again 100%. The hotel was secure and closed its doors passed 10PM where then only people with key access could enter. Overall, we gave it a 9 out of 10 because of broken tiles in our room, a heavy shower door that hurt our hands and feet a few times, and the main door being particularly hard to close on your way out. Tap your key, then turn the knob, otherwise you risk disturbing neighbors shutting the door and that was inconvenient always needing to have your key handy to exit. Great stay though!

Check in on the day pf arrival was rather bumpy starting from my rude exchange with brand agent when I called to provide update that we arrived at airport and asked politely if or when our Montanza SUITE (most expensive room on property to my knowledge) and 2nd time staying in it. I was hung up on. Upon arrival the manager was profusely apologetic and neutralized the situation as much as possible but there was an avalamche of guest departures and staff was overwhelmed including housekeeping I presume. Fast forward, we did not have access to suite until after 5 related to prior guest leaving something in locked safe. Unfortunately, I was not called with update. I had to leave pool area to ask manager whats going on. Shortly after we got in. The suite was as we remembered it and everything went smoothly from there. Id like to note that last year at this time we reserved 3 rooms. We have been guests consistently for many years. Without any pretense, it seems to me that it should be noted in a record somewhere that we are repeat guests etc and some accommodations, even small gestures, could be extended. As far as property is concerned, we find it well maintained with exception of stained corridor carpet. The cushions on pool lounges are worn and the pool area is generally overcrowded and uncomfortable. There was an awful smell in the lobby. The Joyce restaurant is overpriced and so/so. We will likely return but I hope to have a reply from management. Thank you

The hotel is in the heart of Miami Beach, just a couple blocks from the beach. There were numerous restaurants nearby and despite all of this the room was very quiet. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was fine overall, but a few things left us disappointed. I had booked a Premium King room, but the space was surprisingly small. While the vibe and interiors were stylish and the waitstaff were genuinely lovely, the overall experience didn’t match expectations. We were charged an additional $45 per night for a “village amenity fee” that wasn’t clearly disclosed before booking. This was on top of the city tax, and supposedly covered services like beach access — even if you don’t use them. The frustrating part is that when you actually go to the beach, you’re told you only get two chairs included and have to pay extra for a parasol, unless you want to roast in the sun. It felt misleading and borderline scammy. Breakfast was also underwhelming. There’s a small buffet, but anything hot, like eggs or pancakes, comes at an extra cost. You only get boiled eggs included, which felt stingy for a hotel of this level. We apparently had VIP Access benefits, but never received the complimentary bottle of wine or any other perks. Only found out about it later, which added to the sense of being misled. In short: nice design and lovely staff, but be wary of the hidden fees and unfulfilled promises. We left feeling like the hotel prioritised upselling over hospitality.

This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! From the moment we walked in the door, the experience was perfect. The front desk staff were personable and friendly. The gentleman there gave us expert recommendations of things to do. I was also impressed by the included amenities: beach chairs and towels, bikes for use, and more. The hotel and rooms are beautiful, clean, and smell amazing, even the hallways! I was very impressed by our accommodations. The rooftop bar and pool are wonderful, albeit a tad small. The promenade right outside the hotel is lively at night and the food is incredible. Despite the noise, we couldn’t hear it at all from our room, which was right above the street! I will definitely be visiting again and highly recommending to anyone who comes to Miami.

Everything about this hotel is a win! The balcony rooms are gorgeous, and they're always well stocked. The rooftop pool is a perfect size for a boutique hotel, and shade is always an option with the moving awnings so you can be there rain or shine. We laid out under them during a little drizzle and it was really peaceful and relaxing. The bar had everything, including coconuts you can add a rum shot to. The perfect poolside drink! The restaurant they have serving the hotel breakfast, the Drexel, has incredible food, and the meals are tasty and imaginative. I loved the breakfast with caramelized heirloom carrots. Checking in and out is always easy, I’ve never been charged extra for anything. The rooms are beautiful with lots of lush landscaping so you really feel like you’re in a tropical paradise. Not to mention the array of restaurants downstairs like Paperfish, where you can satisfy any craving within steps including gelato or liquor infused desserts, and the fact that you can be at Ocean Drive within 2 short easily walkable blocks.
