Wonderful stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with good air conditioning. The hotel has very good food and there is a nearby food court that is also tasty. Food trucks nearby too. Nice to have access to the skywalk next door. Staff is very good. Helped us with outside laundry pick up/delivery and transportation as needed. Excellent breakfast and good gym and pool. It is well located for tourist areas. No spa but there is one within a 5 mins walk. Highly recommend this hotel but know where you want to be as Bangkok traffic means it takes time to get places. Their metro is not all that convenient as you still have to walk when you get to your destination.

Beautiful rooms with glass windows overlooking Bangkok and large sizes/sq ft. Only small issue is the pool doesn’t get the sun until 2pm (we visited in December) so you won’t use it much. Right next to the skywalk and great restaurants so epic location. Nothing much to fault apart from the lack of sun on the pool! Highly recommend, Would definitely stay there again if we came back to Bangkok.

HIGH STANDARD Muito bom . Check in cheio mas o staff fez de tudo para acomodar e agilizar . Ótimos restaurantes no hotel. No Mahanakhon cube em frente, fantástico o Wine Cellar e os inúmeros Michelin estilo street food. Hotel limpo, silencioso, ótima cama, chuveiro excelente. Café da manhã muito bom com buffet e a lá carte incluídos. Stress free. Sem filas para o omelete. Em frete a estação Ghong Nonsi do SKY train, que te leva a qualquer lugar em BKK. Único ponto negativo é que o lobby fica no quarto andar. Há que se pegar sempre dois elevadores para chegar e sair .

Hadde egen frokostmeny man kunne bestille fra som var mer variert enn mange andre steder. De fleste retter kunne gjøres glutenfrie. Rommet var veldig fint med gode senger og mykt sengetøy. Elsket bassengområdet og at man fikk tilgang til Skybaren på 314 meter!

Lovely hotel in a great location, right next to the sky train. The staff are really nice but we did have an issue with a letter through the door saying we were being charged for staining on a bath towel that housekeeping said could not be removed during laundry. The staining was a soft pink tone from hair colour transfer, it’s easily removed just with water so when put in a wash it will come out completely. They added 500THB to our bill. I contacted reception and said I’ll happily take it to the local laundry and return it to them clean and they can remove the 500THB from our account. It’s not a massive amount but it was the principle. The hotel agreed and said the towel would be returned to me but it never appeared again - obviously it went to laundry and came back as white as every other towel. We received a second letter to say the charge had been removed. Unfortunately one down side of the hotel was cleanliness, on first impression it’s spotless but doors are all covered in hand prints. the wall beside our table at breakfast had streaks down it of old dried in food stains and some areas just really needed a good scrub. All in all, a great hotel, nice food and good team. We would go back again and hope they pay a little more attention to cleaning.

Very disappointing experience. Staff and service not great, the a la card breakfast ist very disappointing. Room was not clean, sheets had stains and the bathroom had a very bad smell. There are many better 5 star hotels in Bangkok, I would not recommend staying at the Standard.

The Toto washlet/bidet was awesome. The power blinds and curtains, loved them. The grout in the bathroom could use more cleaning. The breakfast is alright, didn’t wow us. Everything else is great. The staff was fantastic, a five out of five!!!!!

Compared to the other 5 star property I stayed at during this trip, The Standard did not compare well. Staff at breakfast tried very hard and were pleasant. My room was cleaned only when I directed the front desk on the third day of my stay that nobody had been in to clean the room. Soap falling on the pool deck from the window washers above. Room was spacious and I had a good view as I was on 18, which is the highest floor for the hotel. Elevator music did not change and was an annoying Garden of Eden vocal. Vibe is young and hip, your room key states "Tap me", your sign to clean your room states "Do me". There is a general lack of elegance and refinement at this property. Unless you are really craving bold colors and a 60\'s mod room I would looks elsewhere as Bangkok has other properties in this price range that deliver more luxury and refinement at this price point.

The Standard Mahanakhon was wonderful. Fabulous design, great views, electric blinds and curtains, huge shower, comfy beds and pillows, great staff. On arrival the receptionist put a birthday cake in the room to celebrate my friend turning 60. Two minutes walk to the metro stop and you have the tallest building right above you.

Beautiful rooms! I love the fresh, stylish decor choices and the amazing giant shower and bathtub room. The location is so convenient and the room came with free after-7 tickets for the rooftop bar/viewpoint and included a bogo drink ticket for me and my spouse. We didn’t try the bars or restaurants, but they were energetic in the evenings. Breakfast was fine but not amazing. You order a la carte off a set menu, which feels luxurious, but each dish arrived cold so it’s not actually any better than a buffet. The breakfast cocktails were insanely overpriced. I got a Bellini with maybe half of a glass of sparkling wine and then the rest foam for around 450thb after taxes/surcharges. Overall, we do recommend The Standard and will return for future trips or will try out their other locations.

The Standard Bangkok Mahanakhon, located in the tallest building in the city certainly sets the standard. The room was comfortable and spacious, and the a la carte breakfast was excellent. Don’t miss the ”highest restaurant in Thailand” (book a table for an unrivaled view of the city; no need to stand in line for rooftop bar).

So many unexpected and well thought out details, very functional, like the best toilet roll holder ever - folds flat onto the wall when taking the roll off. The lighting options were extraordinary, being able to have sublte light from the headboard, or a bit more when turning on the bar light. Also a light that turns on automatically when opening the wardrobe doors helps a great deal. Having electric curtains and blinds makes it a true five star hotel. The widest bed ever, felt plush. Also the towels were so plush and absorbant, just felt wonderful to use. The slippers were similar. All together, very pleasant and well thought through. There was one memorable interaction. I had a pink store bag and made the mistake of placing it between the waste bin and the wall. Housekeeping (understandably) took the bag. At first I thought there was just some loose change in the bottom, but then I realized some expensive sunglasses were in there. When going down to reception to see what could be done, the receptionist who checked me sensed my hesitation and discomfort, listened with concern and empathy which was greatly appreciated. Five or ten minutes later there was a knock on my hotel room door and I was reunited with the bag and sunglasses. Housekeeping was very kind and so appolagetic. As for the receptionist: she’s manager material and the hotel can be proud to have her.

As a good member I was entitled to an upgrade, but even though it’s low season, I was told all the rooms were booked. My corner room (1602) was on a high floor, as I requested, and was very big and with fantastic views, however the constant noise from the BTS trains screeching to a halt in the station in front of the hotel was unpleasant: clearly the hotel’s double glazing isn’t thick enough. I wore earplugs at night to sleep. The pool and its area are lovely, but small. The sauna is so small. The gym is nice. Breakfast is awful: very small portions badly cooked: even the bread wasn’t toasted properly, so dry; no butter or salt/pepper or sugar served, had to ask and wait a long time for all of it to arrive. Coffee is not good either. Nice space though, but a little crammed. It’s show over substance. The split lifts are annoying too.

A very cool hotel that is well situation by an Airtrain station. The rooms were spacious (Delux King rooms), with an amazing shower with large windows overlooking the city. All the amenities were excellent and the design was very cool. We received excellent service from the font desk, but unfortunately the service level was not consistent for all areas. The communication between front desk, room service, house keeping and guest relations did not really work, with several things missed or forgotten. All-in-all a nice hotel but I had expected a bit higher level of service at this price point.

Overall the stay was good and the hotel is very nice and modern. There were a couple of things that let it down slightly - Firstly - the breakfast was not great, in fact it was quite disappointing especially in comparison to other 5* hotels in Bangkok. Secondly - we arrived early after a night flight and were told our room was ready, then told if we wanted it we had to pay early check in fees- which was unusual. We managed to talk to the manager but it was very inconvenient. Thirdly, there was no bars open past 10 so not what you’d expect. The staff were very friendly and helpful though and the drinks at the pool were lovely, as was the room.

Our room on the 17th floor was incredible - comfortable bed, amazing bath/shower and the best part - the view! The staff were all so friendly and attentive, took my peanut allergy seriously and made me feel safe. For two nights in Bangkok this is a perfect base, close to transport links and easy to get to the main tourist attractions. We would really recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Bangkok.

Clean room and very friendly staff! They made up for the fact that my room still was not ready even at the 3:00 pm check in. I had to wait another 30 mins BUT they did offer me juice and snacks and were kind and attentive.

Dare I say that The Standard has set the standard for service. Standard staffs are friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. It is like meeting an old acquaintance. The amenities and facilities are very clean and tastefully decorated. Make sure to include their breakfast into your package. Delectable classical Thai food that is very tasty in small palatable portion so that you can try everything in their menu. We nearly did. Anyway, a stay in the Standard is highly recommended. Very convenient with the connected BTS sky train station.

The rooms are thoughtful, well designed, intuitive, offer amazing views and above all, are bottom line, sexy. The floor to ceiling glass in the shower room is all that to have fun with. I also appreciated the options offered in terms of lighting, the bar, reading material and multiple options for the electrified screens and drapes. The Standard has found and trained a “can do, will do” team. One only need ask or escalate an issue, and, as an example, David Ooserting in F&B, engaged immediately and not only solved the issue, his offer far exceeding expectations. JJ, at the front desk, confident, friendly, and super helpful without hesitation. Book and Park, at the bar, attentive, engaging and both added a lot to my enjoyment and experience. I highly recommend the Standard as the place to stay in Bangkok. You’ll love the environment, the team, the offering, and the unique way it’s all woven together to give the guest the best experience possible. I won’t stay anywhere else in Bangkok.
