Casa Ocean

Location of this hotel is superb. But the rooms are a bit small from a regular hotel and have almost all basic amenities. I wish they also provide a microwave and a locker/safe to keep our valuables. Apart from this everything was great.

Nice boutique hotel close to all action. Very clean and modern. No parking but plenty around

Location could not be much better. Most south beach bars and restaurants are within 5-10 min walk from here. Hotel is right across from the beach. Property uses keypad entry control for both lobby and room access.

Location is great. Beach towel and chairs included Umbrella rental is 16.45 with taxes and fees 5 min walk to the beach 10 min walk to Starbucks Street parking No elevators, but only 2 floors. Cozy and small rooms Shower is not fully enclosed Walls are paper thin Great price for our stay

The check-in process was seamless. Nice, clean smell. Only problem is parking is difficult and at a cost.

Loved the convenience of checking in the only thing I didn’t like was that they don’t offer parking

Very tidy apartments (not really hotel serviced), excellent location, quiet despite being very central, with great new restaurants nearby and Public Parking nearby. Wifi in room not working but was helped by night staff who let me use operation's code. In the absence of staff, a clever door control system works great The rooms black out are not perfectly adjusted and the lower floor rooms are affected by strong facade lights I'll be back!

At the quieter end of Ocean Drive, 2mins to the beach, parking is difficult, I’d recommend the parking on 7th st. $20 for 24hrs. Rooms are small, fine for sleeping in and the bed was comfy, it was good value for money.

Casa Ocean is located in a very desirable location. Bed was comfortable and the room itself was fairly clean. Issues: Cleaners used left a very unpleasant chemical smell that would lingers in the room. We had to open a window to clear out the smell. The room's wall are not thick and you can clearly hear other patrons in their rooms and in the hallways. The shower was clogged resulting in water overflowing onto the bathroom floor. We notified the front desk to resolve the issue. Overall a good experience.

I try to always leave positive reviews but unfortunately this one is very difficult to find the positives for Casa Ocean. We were a group of 7, consisting of 4 rooms. We checked in late and are very thankful for the gentleman that waited for our arrival. When entering my room the moldy smell hit us immediately. The gentleman agreed, stating something wasn’t right and was kind enough to move me into a new room, after requesting. My new room had hair EVERYWHERE - all over the clean towels, the shower, both the bathroom and bedroom floors, and on the bed - including under the comforter. I went back to the front desk however, the gentleman was gone, as I expected due to our late arrival. I sent an email to management and decided I had to unfortunately book a room nextdoor at the Balfour for the night. The next morning, I returned to Casa Ocean to further discuss my concerns and the lady running the front desk was extremely rude. Not only to myself but also a fellow guest who was requesting clean towels, stating the guest should’ve removed the “do not disturb” sign on their door that morning. All I asked is that my room be re-cleaned correctly this time. My room was cleaned again, although still not great. I eventually decided it was best I clean the room myself and purchased cleaning supplies from Target, along with bedding. Others in my group also expressed concerns with their rooms as well-dirty floors/beds. Positives-distance to beach. Cons-very dirty hotel.

Lots of construction going on, smelled like STRONG chemicals and paint and there was brown paper all over the floors because of the construction, hammering and drilling early in the morning. rooms were nice, clean, and would probably be MUCH better after construction finishes. Staff was wonderful!

In a word, an olfactory disaster. They pump some sort of nasty air freshener through the AC system and the place reeks, a combination of ammonia and rotted fruit. We had to shut off the AC and open the windows to air out the room and eliminate some of the stench. They also pumped the lobby full of the same odor(not fragrance). Many people have a condition called vasomotor or non-allergic rhinitis, which is triggered by strong unnatural smells. Our noses were running and we were coughing. Could not stay in the building.

Clean and great location

My recent stay at this establishment was nothing short of appalling. The level of cleanliness was inexcusably subpar, with a blatant cockroach infestation and disheveled linens that bore lipstick smudges, yellow stains, and visible dirt. Despite notifying the front desk of my concerns and requesting fresh linens, I was met with a dismissive response that they lacked access to such basic necessities. Throughout the night, the lack of soundproofing meant that every movement reverberated through the paper-thin walls, disrupting any hope of peaceful rest. The unsanitary conditions extended to the bathroom, where a shower revealed a disgusting accumulation of hair blocking the drain. To my horror, the morning routine was marred by a sink teeming with insects, a sight that no guest should ever have to endure. In addition to the litany of grievances I have outlined, it is imperative to mention that I have tangible evidence to substantiate my claims. I possess a collection of photos and videos that vividly capture the deplorable conditions and egregious deficiencies that marred my stay at this establishment. Upon seeking a refund as a reasonable course of action given the deplorable state of affairs, my request was callously denied. I caution all potential guests to steer clear of this establishment at all costs. The lack of cleanliness, professionalism, and basic amenities make it abundantly clear that this is a place unworthy of anyone's patronage. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

This is a bare bones property but the bed was comfy and the room had been recently renovated. There are no amenities but the price reflects that. The only problem is the smell that they pump into the lobby and hallways; it’s incredibly overpowering but after turning up the AC I couldn’t smell it in the room at all. Overall excellent value and an awesome location right across the street from a park and easy beach access. This area is much much quieter than the crazy party area that starts about 5 blocks north.

One of the worst experiences i had at a South Beach hotel I have ever stayed at...here is why: 1) They advertised the room as 330 square feet. The room was barely half of that size, even including the bathroom. No closet, no place to put any clothes, you literally have to live out of your suitcase. 2) There was an odor of mold that was extremely strong and the hotel was trying to mask it with some other perfumed fragrance air freshener which made it worse. 3) On Saturday a guest on our floor decided to play music, I am guessing from their own speaker, at the highest level possible. Thia went on for 45 minutes and since there is no front desk coverage overnight, I wound up calling the police. 4) They clean the rooms every two days. Challenging to get any fresh towels, had to ask for soap, twice. Bring your own. 5) One front desk employee extremely rude when my wife was requesting more soap. One of the worst hospitality moments I have experienced. 6) It is close to the beach, about a 5 minute walk and they do provide two beach chairs. 7) It is walking distance to a lot of the restaurants South of 5th Street. Overall a horrible experience. Don't waste your money.

Sheets and pillowcases were not changed. Hair that was not mine was all over the bathroom. Hotel smelled amazing.

This property was not advertised like it was on the booking site. The room was smaller than expected. The shower water pressure was ver low & the water was not hot. Walls are thin. Can hear everybody’s conversation above and next too room. Took forever too get extra towels. The amount of money spent on that hotel for the days that i got.. was not worth it . BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK !

The room was lovelyand clean.There was no internet, for the duration internet passwords was given but no internet service ,it kept buffering,so no Tv,no netflixs or anything. If you are like me then its a no go, internet is a must for survival.

Walls are very thin, you can hear everything on the other rooms, we had the misfortune of having very loud people over us and it was almost impossible to sleep…

My stay at this resort was delightful. The room was really nice and the check in process was simple. The only one issue was that the thermostat in the room was unable to be adjusted. Otherwise it was a great stay.

I was greatly impressed with the comfort of Casa Ocean. The hotel was so quiet our entire trip (7 nights in 210). The bed, pillows and towels (they even supply beach towels) were all great quality. I would definitely stay again. A luggage holder would be a welcome touch as there wasn't enough clothes storage for two people. The bathroom needs a bit of a cosmetic touch-up though. The roof panel is rusting, the sink faucet is peeling, shower pressure was dismal (though I guess thats what happens so close to the beach) and it was very awkward that bathroom door wouldn't fully open because of the bed. Close to so many food options and we walked to many of the shops around the area too.

You can hear the people’s next door conversation as if they were in my room. Even heard the snoring.

Easy check in held our luggage till room was ready. Only issue was the code for front door entry to hotel. It didn’t work every time so we had to be let in. Same code worked fine on room door.

The location was excellent and an easy walk to restaurants, shops, cafes and the beach. The room was comfortable and had all I needed. I would stay there again.

They were kind enough to let us leave our luggage there before check in as we were coming off a cruise and were very early. Nice people, clean, safe

I like the area of course it’s Miami. It’s South Beach but the stuff stuff is horrible. First of all there is no one so they can provide extra services or urgent services and whenever the manager likes to come in she’s a blonde lady she feels like she has a right to do anything in the building, please pay attention to your stuff and have stuff physically at the hotel so someone can be available to answer the questions

The staff was excellent. They were very helpful and friendly.. our room was clean, but there was a terrible smell in the hallway and it was all the carpet was also dirty . looks like something leaked or spilled. This was on the second floor.

The checkin wasn't smooth- receive confirmation of being checked in however was left outside the property for 20-30 with no entry access because the code was never sent to us via text. Attempted to call the number on the door multiple times only to be hung up on repeatedly until the 5th call and was finally told someone would be to the front shortly. Overall the hotel staff was rude , room was not as clean as it should've been - there was hair in the shower and bathroom by the toilet left from the previous stay, linens had stains on them, housekeeping did not change bed sheets every 2 days as advised and lied as if they did and were told by hotel staff basically there was nothing they could do and that they were out of sheets. Confronted the front desk clerk and asked him to come see for himself and he was shocked and apologetic only to say he didn't know who was responding to the texts and that it was clear they simply made the bed but failed to change the sheets or comforter. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone it was absolutely horrible experience.

Super easy check in and out procedures. Very responsive staff and would text to check in daily. Room very clean and cute. Bathroom with hot shower and good pressure. Quiet, steps from the beach. Walkable to Art Deco district which is super cute. Highly recommend, will be staying here again next time we’re in Miami!!

Very nice hotel and staff! It looks and smells so nice when you walk in. They come in to clean and bring new towels every 2 days. This hotel is right on the quieter section of Ocean Drive which I like because it’s within walking distance of everything. At night especially on the weekends Ocean Drive has a lot of loud action going on. This hotel is in the quieter section. I would recommend Casa Ocean!

This property has been well restored. It is an inviting hotel thats not too close to the crazy party scene, but close enough to walk everywhere.

I went to South Beach solo. Karina was so warm and welcoming when I arrived. The hotel accommodated my special requests and my room was clean, bright and comfortable. (Extra towels are provided if you ask.). The location is great. One block from the beach. Three blocks from the canal where the cruise ships leave (absolutely stunning park area). On Ocean Drive which is the main strip for walking and eating.
