Hotel is in a good area, its old so no elevator and wifi was terrible. Staff was friendly and your right in the downtown area so nearby food and drink options and walkable to the beach.

The location was a 5 star. It was right downtown on the Main Street. All the rooms are on the second floor with no elevator. The bathroom was clean but tiny. The bed was very soft. I woke up with a backache. There was two upholstered chairs in our room. They were dirty and springs were shot. There is no designated parking but we found parking on street right in front of hotel.

Although they try hard, being handicapped was a challenge, I’m not in a wheelchair however the back lot was always full and the parking outside the hotel is first come first serve your next to cars and can’t open the doors all the way. Then it was quite a hike to the hotel through the hotel and down the hallway to our room. The stairs to the upper units were very narrow, might me mindful and book a ground floor with no spiral staircase. The maids were very hard working and everyone tries very hard to keep everything nice and fun. It’s a very charming place nice covered patio out back

Loved our stay in Frankfort! The town is beautiful and very family oriented. Hotel Frankfort was quaint & clean and a walkable distance to the beach, many restaurants and shops. I cannot comment on the bar or restaurant as we did not patronize either. The only constructive criticism I can provide was the darkness in the hallway on the second floor. Lights seem to be on a motion sensor. Thanks for your hospitality!

The staff was all super helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our only negative on the room was no refrigerator or microwave, although there was a shared microwave downstairs.(In all fairness, we did know this when we booked, along with the fact there is no lift to the second floor.) We are cyclists and this place is just a block from a great trail, just a couple blocks from the beach and right on the main shopping street. It was more costly then we preferred but otherwise a good experience. They have a nice restaurant offering but we did not order from there. In the morning they do offer coffee and danishes or muffins. They also had bottled water available in the room- both nice touches. There are porches front and back for enjoying town and some nature. Parking could be a little touch and go during nusier times in town. The hotel allows you to park on the main street and offers a few spaces in a lot in back.

Very old and quaint hotel.. Well kept Wish the bar and restaurant were open on Thursdays. They do not have an elevator so make sure you pack a small bag. Other than that it was nice.

Our first entry into our room was not the best. It smelled strongly of pot. We told the desk clerk and she was aware and told us they had a little trouble from the couple who had stayed the night before. She immediately moved us to another room, which was also an upgrade. My only question was why they put us in that original room to begin with. They had numerous room openings. The room we were moved to was fine and we were appreciative for the upgrade in rooms.

The property is in walking distance to the beach and lighthouse. We were able to enjoy the sunset right after supper. It is updated, clean, and with friendly / helpful staff. There are also plenty of gift shops & restaurants nearby. Two thumbs up !

We had to switch rooms, after hours, because our bed was filthy. I have pictures to back it up, but there was what could only be, semen on the bed. The sheets were absolutely disgusting. Then as we were leaving , the cleaning staff were smoking in the small guest parking lot. We should get a complete refund.

Have stayed at the Frankfort Hotel 3 times! It’s charming! Every room is decorated differently, as seen on the website. Staff are friendly & attentive. Parking is on-site & free. Room & common areas are very clean & quiet. It’s an easy 5 minute walk from the hotel to the Lake & beach in one direction & to the shops & restaurants on Main Street in the other direction. Can walk all the way up & down the busiest section of Main Street without moving your car. It’s a lovely place to stay!

This was the perfect location to stay while I raced Michigan Ironman 70.3. Location was perfect. It was quiet. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The food at the restaurant was wonderful. The whole building was very clean. I only wish I had booked a large room

This place is way overpriced. Old , run down .bathroom floor was stained and appeared dirty. Entrance had a concrete ramp that was previously painted but badly in need of a fresh coat. One barely accessible outlet to charge a phone. No elevator and very steep stairs to second floor rooms. Staff was friendly

It was clean. No ironing board. Not many room amenities really. Shampoo and conditioner in a small squeeze bottle. Had to go downstairs to get anything, like ice or a second towel.

We stayed there for the first night of a color tour vacation. The room theme was log cabin and it had a sauna and hot tub! It has an appealing/relaxing atmosphere, is well laid out, with a comfortable bed, all the appropriate amenities and is clean! There is a small balcony overlooking downtown Frankfort which is perfect for a morning coffee. This is a great property, and a tremendous value!

The location was a 5 star. It was right downtown on the Main Street. All the rooms are on the second floor with no elevator. The bathroom was clean but tiny. The bed was very soft. My husband and I have this joke that I'm not allowed to pick hotel rooms because the last several I've chosen have been experiences that we wouldn't choose to repeat. At best, we weren't horrified but weren't going back to that hotel... THIS trip redeemed my hotel-picking confidence. We booked the Blue Heron room and it was elegantly decorated, much larger than any hotel room that I've ever been in to the point that it felt like a suite, had a beautiful view over main street, and the blue velvet couches around the electric fireplace were a wonderful place to relax in the evening to share a drink with my husband AND to sit and sip my coffee in the morning as I woke up. The bathroom was spacious and had a tiled, walk-in shower that was almost as big as some whole hotel bathrooms I've been in and made me want that at our home. The staff was friendly when we checked in, as we bought an artist's print from their shop (even sharing with us some of their favorite pieces hanging around the building), and as we checked out. Both my husband and I decided that we are definitely staying here the next time we're in the area overnight.

The hotel is very historic and charming. The staff allowed me to check in a couple hours early which was nice. It’s right on the Main Street and a quick walk to all the shops and restaurants. The property is well maintained but there are floorboard creaks due to the age. Note that they don’t maintain front desk coverage 24/7 and you have to use a physical key to get inside after desk hours.

The staff, including bartenders, were extremely hospitable and made our stay very welcoming. The room was a bit smaller than we had expected but it was clean, beds were comfortable, and perfect for a two night stay. The hotel was located around several restaurants, bars and shops so we never used our car in the city. (Except to attend the wedding we were in town for) We would definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you staff!

Cute, but dated hotel. Young lady at the front desk was wonderful. Very happy and helpful! Room was nice. Older hotel but you can tell they are working hard to maintain it. The bartender was not very friendly and seemed more interested in talking to the locals there v. taking care of us.

We stay here often for the convenience to downtown and that it is very quiet. Unfortunately, there were extremely loud guests that went on through the hallways and their rooms very late into the night.

LOVE Hotel Frankfort! It is beautifully quaint and located in the heart of town. Restaurants, shops, ice cream, and most importantly the beach are within 2 or 3 blocks.

We booked this stay last minute (day before) and had limited expectations since we had never been to the area or hotel. It turned out to be the best stay we had so much fun and were delighted with the property. The restaurant/bar are closed W&TH though, wish we would have known. It's walkable to other restaurants though! Loved our stay, thank you :)

Restaurant wasn’t open. Should have sent a message apologizing/alert, We had the smallest bathroom I’ve ever seen. We also got the smallest room on the property. Not a great value. Will look elsewhere, the next time we visit Frankfort.

The hotel is charming. Not much is happening in the village mid-week in January. Dining options are limited but there was no waiting! The bathroom in our room is tiny but adequate. We wished the restaurant or bar or breakfast was open when we were there.

We will definitely stay here again. The room was great, comfy bed and pillows. Had breakfast at the hotel restaurant and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Friendly staff and love the town and all the things to do.
