Only stayed for one nigh during road trip through area. Didn't really use any amenities. Can't speak for area. Room was clean, updated sometime in past few years. Nothing stood out in terms of the room. The parking lot in long and narrow, and I had to park the equivalent of about 1 block away. A lot of the parking was taken up by utility vehicles. Not the end of the world, but it was rough walking through it during a snow storm.

Really spacious and clean room. Loved the wood floor (and not typical hotel rug that you have no idea what's caught in there). Bathroom could use some update compared to the room, but not a big deal. We love the hot tub and indoor pool as well as the gym. The coffee area in the lobby was nice and convenient. But we really really love the restaurant "Door Prize." Incredible food and atmosphere.

We LOVED this hotel. It’s so convenient, spacious, and clean! The art display in the lobby is nice, as well as the coffee and fruit in the morning. We absolutely loved the small sensory room near the front desk, as we have a child on the spectrum. I wish all hotels were this thoughtful! The pool was warm and nice for the kids, hot tub for adults. I would love to see the sauna be open and maybe add more lighting and more comfortable seating in the pool area. We will definitely stay again

I want two things from a hotel: convenience and cleanliness. Downstreet was both very accessible and convenient from luggage carts that roll well and walkability and park-ability. Additionally most less expensive hotels are filthy even the bigger chains have really let down their standards. Downstreet was very clean from the pool area to rooms to lobby. It was a very pleasant stay.

This hotel is immaculate. We were pleasantly surprised to have room cleaning each day of our stay. The staff is super friendly and efficient. One small disadvantage, the noise from the street traffic was loud in our room. We would definitely stay there again.

Staff were super friendly and the room had what we needed, but the bathroom was like being in the bathroom in an apartment full of college students. The grout was not super clean, the bathtub was small and stained, and the shower curtain rod was broken so the curtain was also stained at the bottom from lying on the bottom of the shower. It had to have been like that for a while. Not a tub I would bother taking a bath in.

Check-in was fast and easy, and the lobby is very modern and recently renovated. The rooms, however, don’t feel nearly as nice. From the photos and description we expected an updated three-star hotel. The bed was creaky, the bathroom felt in need of updating, and we heard everything happening in the hallways and neighboring rooms. I wouldn’t have minded if it was more reasonably priced. Despite feeling outdated, the room was at least clean.

There is room for improvement in sound proof. We could hear the women talking next door until late night. We could hear the motorists zooming by in the streets. We could hear the people talking in the hallway…Our sleep was affected by all these noises.

The walls are so thin we could hear every word of the people next to us from about 9:30 to 11:00 when they left their room. They came back to their room around 2:30am and did not stop talking very loudly and playing the TV until 5:30am. The air conditioner made a constant loud drip the entire night. We turned it off but it continued to drip loudly and consistently all night. Between the noise next door and the constant drip we could not sleep. The shower head was so low my husband could not stand under it.

My one complaint is the sheets. They are silky and slippery and without a fitted bottom sheet, do not stay tucked in. Also the heating and cooling system is quite noisy and cycles on and off. Positives are the location and staff are friendly and accommodating.

Our stay was enjoyable except for the employee that came into the pool area 15 minutes before the pool closed and kicked us out of the pool. I told her I thought the pool closed at 10pm and she said, “no it’s closed now. Get out.” Very rude. I asked the desk in the morning and they confirmed that the woman was supposed to only give a 15 minute warning and not kick us out. I’ve never been treated so poorly by a hotel staff anywhere before.

The hotel is nice, some of the staff are super nice but the GM and her boss, Greta, do not seem to fair well under stress as I brought an issue to their attention. I was later told it was a day of meetings for their new system being implemented, so they were under extreme stress. The interaction with them was more of one you would experience with strangers, not those in customer service and hospitality. They didn’t feel that being checked in incorrectly which resulted in higher charges was an issue I should be upset about. Regardless of being in agreement or not,

The rooms are spacious and the hotel is a short walk to MassMOCA - those things work well. What didn't work well is that the attendant at the front desk seemed gleeful to share that our room wasn't ready when we arrived around 12pm and to turn us away. Check in is at 3pm so that's understandable but she seemed happy to turn us away, even though our room was pre-paid. When we asked if our room would be ready if we return around 2pm, the attendant said if you come back ANY time before 3pm, you will be charged an early check in fee. We returned at 5pm to check in. We checked in, were asked to pay a deposit against incidentals but as we prepared to go upstairs, a different front desk attendant informed us that the key card machine didn't work so we had no key and someone would have to accompany us to our room to let us in. What?!! When we asked if the issue would be resolved the same day, we were told no because they were waiting for a third party vendor to do the repair. When we expressed how problematic we found this experience as guests, we were told it was a problem for them too since they had never dealt with this. Every time we wanted to get into our room, we would have to be accompanied by someone from the front desk. No notice was posted at the front desk explaining this issue. During stays at other hotels, when there is an issue, notice is posted at the front desk so everyone is informed. Many aspects of this experience were unsettling.

This is a very stark hotel with no amenties beyond a coffee pot in the lobby. Front desk is understaffed. The Hotel is in a converted office building - and is not a comfortable place. Although clean if you want a reasonably nice place to stay this is not the place. Very expensive for the type and quality of accommodation.

Downstreet is a nice hotel in a good location - walking distance from Mass MOCA and many local restaurants. It is quite clean, with a gracious, modern lobby. The staff was all super friendly and helpful. Good housekeeping service is getting rarer these days, but Downstreet did an excellent job. My only complaint is that the sound separation between rooms is terrible. We could hear someone snoring all night from the room on one side of us and the slightest movements of our neighbors on the other side. We had to turn on the fan on the AC system to serve as white noise. So much light came through the cracks in the hall door that that end of the room glowed all night.

The hotel was great. If you're in the area foe other activities, this a great place to stay. However, the area around the hotel wasnt the best. It is very limited in what you can do. Didnt feel safe to be a place to walk around after dark.

Well maintained hotel, nothing ostentatious but clean rooms, comfortable beds, minimalist but attractive decor. Friendly staff. Very convenient (easy walking distance) to Mass MoCA, coffee shop, restaurants, bars, North Adams downtown (although there isn't much of the latter). The hotel has a pool, but we did not use so I cannot comment on that. Coffee in the lobby. Very good value for the price of rooms.

This hotel is reasonably priced for the area, and very clean. The offstreet parking is free and plentiful. However, I wished the restaurant was open for breakfast, and we were there one of the two nights per week when it was closed for dinner. There’s no room service, so we had to find a local restaurant. Because of this, I wouldn’t want to stay for more than one night.

Fun decor and artwork; very clean and comfortable room. On site bistro was unfortunately not open on Tuesdays but we found a great restaurant within walking distance. Checking out took a little longer than we had hoped due to computer/printer issues, but staff was very friendly and did their best.

Our stay at Hotel Downstreet In North Adams MA was delightful!! It is very convenient to MASS MOCA art Museum as well as to Williamstown. It turns out there’s a wonderful restaurant within the hotel where we were able to have an evening drink and delicious food. I highly recommend this hotel. The beds were extremely comfortable. The air conditioning worked great and the bathroom was perfect. There is an art calorie within the hotel and very interesting works of art throughout. Staff was delightful. The only thing is you don’t receive a breakfast but the coffee from a local company is delicious and available 24/7.

This hotel is new and fun. The rooms are spacious and the bed very comfortable. The staff is very helpful and the right amount of friendly. I love the art gallery in the lobby! The price is very reasonable. I the coffee in the lobby was delish. My only criticism is the lack of breakfast options. I wish there were a few items either we could buy or even walk to.

Room was nice and clean with modern design, the bed thraw, and shower curtain. However, the heater was a bit noisy at night time, only few paper cups were prepared for coffee, and in the bathroom. The bathtub had strong water force. No breakfast.
