While it comes at an additional cost, the pass provides access to a private beach and excellent leisure amenities at the Watersound Beach Country Club. We found this to be well worth the extra expense. * Recommendation: We highly recommend The Lodge 30A for a relaxing and comfortable stay on 30A. For an even more exclusive and upscale experience, we strongly suggest purchasing the Watersound Beach Country Club pass.

We LOVED staying here! Perfect getaway! The rooms are the perfect size with full size refrigerator, microwave, sinks, coffee station. They have a little small general store that has a variety of snacks, frozen meals and Starbucks! Great shopping and restaurants just located right out the lodge doors. I was so excited to fine this lil gem! Pool was heated and beautiful! Overall very accommodating and friendly atmosphere! Big lobby area that offers a lot of options for seating.

The Lodge was only 6 months old when we visited. It is excellently positioned in the area, close to the beaches and restaurants. The facilities are great too - well stocked gym, food to purchase, swimming pool and relaxation area. The furniture in the reception was fb and contemporary! We loved it!!

A beautiful place to stay!!! Around a handful of fun shops & right down the road from even more things to do. Great pool area & lots of amenities (the Starbucks coffee machine was notably my favorite). Everything is new & kept very clean. There was some sort of issue hotel-wide with the A.C. but I would like to note that the staff did everything in their power to make it right & were very pleasant to deal with (Zach, Anna, etc.) We were in town for a wedding but I can confidently say we will be back to vacation & we know exactly the place to stay… The Lodge 30A!

The night staff was not so friendly... no amenities. Elevator was not working one day of our stay. Quite mediocre. Need stickums on the shower floor... it is a liability.

The natural wood work throughout, and decor was very aesthetically pleasing. Very comfortable bed. Loved having a small kitchen area in room. Pool area was nice. Staff was friendly and happy to help with anything. Definitely would stay again if ever in the area!!!

This property was extremely quiet. We enjoyed the available shopping and dining onsite and nearby. The restaurant “Canopy Road” that was on the same property was incredible—a must visit. Our only complaint was the pool needed attention.

Fantastic location, condition, and value. This is one of my favorite hotels, there are restaurants and shops right outside the front door. It's in a great location, and has very comfortable rooms. The main area is also really nice with a little store behind the front desk if you need anything. The pool and gym are also great!

Quiet, clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the pool and easy access to bike trail. Also the state park next to the lodge was a plus as well as The Canopy restaurant where we had breakfast during our stay.

Very clean and perfect for a quick getaway on 30A.

The carpet in the room was tattered and torn and had holes in it and the bathroom was in great need of a remodel and a cleaning.

We booked this hotel last minute and only stayed 1 night because we were waiting to check into a house on 30A the next day. It was very pricey. There was mold and pink mildew in the shower. The bed was very hard/firm, and could hear lots of hallway noise and doors slamming

The hotel is new, spotless, in a great location and has a wonderful staff. We absolutely loved it!

Super clean and well decorated hotel. Lots of shops and restaurants right out the front door of hotel. Everything feels new in the hotel.

The hotel is new and nice. The staff is Great! We found food in the refrigerator from the previous guest which makes you feel like it wasn’t a thorough cleaning.

We chose this hotel for our vacation and were very disappointed. We checked in on 8/2/2025, an hour earlier than the check-in time of 4:00 p.m., and were told our room wasn't ready. Not even 5 minutes had gone by, and suddenly, our room was ready. We go to our room, and I go to use the restroom, and it smells like pee. There is even a dry pee line going down the front bottom of the toilet. As I went to lie on the bed, I saw a hair on the pillow. I decided to check the entire bed, and lo and behold, there were more hairs on the sheets and way down inside the bedsheets as well. I called the front desk and told them our room had not been cleaned. I asked to speak to the manager, and the FD Supervisor said the manager was not in and would not be in until Monday. I spoke to the manager on Tuesday, and she apologized and said she would give me a 15% - 20% discount on our next visit. She said that she couldn't give me a discount for my stay because it was prepaid through a third-party app, which was Travelocity. My husband and I talked and thought that maybe we could get a free one-night stay to have another good weather day at the beach. It was raining, and the water had been full of seagrass for our entire stay except for the day before we were going to leave and the next day as well, according to the news. The manager would only give us a 15% discount on one night's stay and we would still have to pay an extra $200. So disappointed in the efforts to right a wrong.

Such a nice hotel! Room was spacious, very clean, the decor is gorgeous, pool was big. Location was so prefect right on the middle of everything East or West. Coffee right outside, breakfast, rent bikes near. Will be back!

The room we had included a refrigerator, dishwasher and a coffee pot. It also included dishes and a microwave. The room was beautiful and clean. My room was quiet and we slept very well. The hotel is located in a great spot on 30A with shopping and food available in walking distance. A hotel was much needed in this area for short visits to the beach! We enjoyed everything about our stay at Lodge 30A !

Only problem was the footsteps I could hear above my room at 5am.. all else was great

Awesome property! Extremely nice staff and wonderful location. Only thing that could be better would be a more comfortable bed and bedding.

Only down side is it's noisy.... walls are thin and you can hear and feel people walking in the hallway.

Staff was amazing and very accommodating as a nursing mama prior to check out. Room was clean and had everything we needed. The location was convenient to beach/shopping and food. My only complaint was the beds are very firm, otherwise all was great!

Great stay and close to a lot. The only downside was the pull out sleeper sofa was very uncomfortable.

This is such a cute option to have on 30A and so needed, Would be five stars but the hotel was not built with good insulation so you hear your neighbors walking above you. Would have expected St. Joe to have done that right is all! Rooms are cute and property is well priced and designed, plenty of shops and restaurants outside, including a coffee shop.

Great hotel in a beautiful area. This served as a room for my husband for a couple nights while I was on a girls trip just a few miles away - and then for both of us for one night. Room had everything - nice size fridge, plates, glasses, silverware and a dishwasher! Was very roomy. Great room overall and would definitely stay again when in the area.

We loved our short stay at TheLodge30A. The only thing I wasn't impressed with is how early check out is(10am) and when we checked in the staff wasn't the friendliest. There was a person checking in beside us who was greeted very kindly and offered complimentary water bottles, but when we were checking in the other staff member was unfriendly and didn't offer us the same thing? Other than that it was a nice stay and I hope to be back again soon.

Great property. Cold staff, not friendly. Informed them of two service animals, gave their trained task, and then check out to find 3 separate charges on my account. I had prepaid the hotel. When calling, they converted the service pet, and charged me. The charges do not even add up to a regular pet fee. Multiple, unexplained, charges and when I called the hotel, they said it was Expedia and the reservations team. Expedia doesn’t handle service animal fees. Also, Expedia did not have access to the card they charged. totally disappointed by this hotel and will not return. I have never met such unfriendly staff in person or via telephone at a hotel before. Especially a “boutique hotel.” We will stay at the original lodge but not this one. Do not trust the front desk. Unwilling to help when I called and so instead of continuing to speak to rude people. I will dispute with Amex.

Loved the look of this hotel. The decorating was amazing. The front desk staff were so nice. The room itself was really clean. The bedding was very comfortable. This hotel is a short drive from a lot of cute shops and restaurants. There’s also a few stores and cafes right next to the hotel. Only complaint, The cleaning staff was very rude. One woman acted like we were bothering her. She parked her cart in front of the elevator that opened and was annoyed she had to move over so we could get in.

Great location of convenience. Super friendly and helpful staff. The entire property was well maintained and clean. Bed was comfortable and we like to keep our room cold which is usually not possible but we were frosty from the steaming heat outside. Everything you need is within walking distance. Get the beach package! You will NOT regret it. Amazing!

The property and location was good but i did not find the staff very welcoming.

Unauthorized charge on my credit card $600 which they stated was a mistake-charged me for my stay again when already paid in full. Never apologized. TV kept going in & out like bad WiFi. Asked cleaning lady for wash cloth and she said would leave some but when I returned I had none. Staff was not friendly

The Lodge 30A is a beautiful hotel, outstanding staff and comfortable rooms! Especially the bed & pillows - very comfy! Ms. Justine at the Front Desk was so professional as we navigated Expedia not completing my reservation fully. She was so helpful and went out of the way to try to explain to Expedia the mistake they made. I plan on returning - fabulous hotel!!!

We stayed at the property for 3 nights and enjoyed everything. The lodge is beautifully decorated and has spacious rooms. The location is perfect! Right in between Rosemary/Alys Beach and Seaside. There is also a beautiful public beach access close by that the manager told us about. Pool amenities were great, the little convenience store in the lobby came in handy. The stores around the lodge are all really nice and worth a look too. Would definitely stay again.

Great 30A location. Convienent location to beach, eats and nightlife.

Great location between Alys beach and watercolor neighborhood. The property seems brand new and is very nice and clean. Only small complaint is you will hear guests above you if not on top floor. Staff was pleasant and helpful. There are a few choices for food and beverages in the plaza which the hotel sits so no driving required. Overall this is a great spot!

Literally right on 30A and in a little spot with shops and ice cream and restaurants. You just have to walk like 10 minutes to get to the beach but definitely worth it! Can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful buildings and quant shops around the establishment. Negative is that it is a half mile walk to beach access or a drive to public access.

The property is not honest about how inaccessible the ocean is from the hotel. They also never disclosed the price of the pool club option referenced on the site or offered it to us. Guests should be aware- it’s about a 15 min walk and much without a sidewalk.

Perfect for a quick business trip. The lobby is stunning and the rooms are so well appointed. Plus, the retail and restaurants on site were great!

Poor restaurant option available

It was a beautiful place with a great location. The staff was super accommodating. Only problem was constant issues with the elevator. Only 3 floors so not life of death, just mildly annoying! Restaurants close are great!

This was an excellent and affordable option for our family. Very clean and close to the public beach. I gave 4 of 5 stars because they do not offer breakfast/meals on property. However, there is a coffee shop right next door, and there is a Mexican restaurant being built in the same parking lot. Would recommend.

Hotel was lovely. The male staffer (don’t recall his name) was super friendly and helpful with turning on the outdoor fireplace when the female staffer refused. Turbo coffee shop across the road was amazing. The room was super clean and spacious.

I liked everything. It is a beautiful hotel and is in a little shopping area with 3 restaurants, 1 of which serves breakfast. The only draw back is it is very hard to find. It is on the back side of the shopping area and not well marked. I had a very hard time finding it.

Hotel is surrounded by a village of dining options (Breakfast was outstanding!) and boutique shops. A state hiking trail is adjacent to their parking lot, along with a bike rental shop. None of this is mentioned in their website or Travelocity's - makes for a GREAT stay.
