2nd time here. Only thing I was not a fan of was limited bathtub options. End up in a room across from the pool so a lot of traffic at our window. 2nd floor and up only, for next time. Great staff, great breakfast and excellent pub and restaurant onsite. Take your clubs if you stay here. Beautiful course surrounding the property.

We had a wonderful experience with our stay. Room was clean, breakfast was wonderful, staff was very nice, parking was easy, the sitting area in the back is wonderful. We had no true complaints except that neither pool is heated so they were cold. But the kids still got in so it wasn’t a huge deal.

Great location with beautiful views of the mountains on either side of the hotel. Very clean room when I got there but I had to call for housekeeping on July 5 since they missed our room. Excellent pool area but not enough chairs. Great free breakfast but dinner wasn’t as good (steak & salmon) - should have ordered a burger. Not enough servers in the main dining room but the staff was very nice & apologetic for the wait. Housekeeping staff also very friendly & provided me with bottles of moisturizer upon request. Front desk staff very welcoming!

Stayed in a room on the 4th floor with my husband and daughter during a PennState visit. There were several black flies in the room, and during the night, a large insect crawled on us when we were sleeping. I have never experienced this in all my years of travel and hotel stays, would not recommend staying here, hotel staff said they found no evidence of insects when we checked out - way too much hassle and drama for a $600/night stay.

Terrific overall but details matter. No remote in the room. Took over 30 mins to get one and no back on it so had to keep the batteries from falling out. Bathtub needed a good cleaning so had to do that ourselves. Outside that, great stay. Great facilities, plenty of patio space to have some food and enjoy the amazing views. Breakfast was excellent with lots of options. Great place and my wife loved it.

We travel frequently and have stayed at air bnb’s and multiple hotels. This particular hotel was THE cleanest, most comfortable place we have stayed. The room was immaculate! The surroundings of the hotel were clean and groomed. Breakfast was fresh fruit, and it was fresh! The breakfast buffet had so many options, something for everyone. The bed was comfy, the view was of the golf course which was nice to watch the golfers out there. I asked for no fragrances as I have asthma and my request was granted. Not every hotel pays attention to the details on a reservation. This one did. We will definitely return! This is now our new favorite place since we come here often to see family. On a scale of 1-10, we would give this hotel a 100!!!

We loved how clean the entire hotel was.The bar was ok. It was very busy with very intoxicated golfers. No biggie, we get it. Just wasn't our scene. Shower was super nice in the room, and breakfast was really great. The views are top notch. The ac unit in room 219 was very loud. Also, the toilet is also oddly loud. Not that anything was wrong with either, they just seemed to be noisey and might be an acoustic issue due to the walls etc. Overall it was super quiet around the property and especially on our floor which we shared with the restraunt. We would stay here again.

We were greeted by someone who was very friendly who checked us into our room quickly. I did use rechecking which was also a nice feature. My room was amazing. Very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is outstanding. The attendant made sure my food was safe for eating for me as I have celiac and can’t eat gluten. She made sure I had eggs and potatoes made fresh on a clean grill. My one complaint is the infernal nightlight in the hotel room. I am a pitch black sleeper, when I wake in the middle of the night I don’t like light. There was no way to shut the light off.

Check-in staff was courteous and helpful, but they had a "new" system and weren't sure how to check in an Expedia (third party) reservation. The property is rather remote, but I think it caters to the skiing market as the slopes were across the street, but no other shops or businesses. The room was nicely appointed, but not ergonomically optimized. There was no "main" light switch and each lamp had to be turned on individually. This was particularly inconvenient since I checked in after dark. Comfortable bed. Wifi was not secure, no password required.

My son is starting Penn state in the fall. I planned to stay here often through the years. Hotel is lovely. Clean, beautifully decorated, spacious. My husband and i went to the hotel bar for a drink/food. The bartender was AWFUL. Obviously wanted to go home. "Oh, the kitchens closed, im sorry did i not tell you they were closing?" They did agree to throw chicken fingers in the fryer only after the server shared that she had just put another food order in. Bartender said to her "honey. No" She took my plate away when i was still clearly eating my fries. I said as much and she said "take it out of my tip". I spoke to the manger. He listened, was agreeable and gave me his card. I've been in the hospitality industry my entire life. I understand you're not always in the best mood and want to go home. This is your job. I'm spending my hard earned money at your establishment. Starting at the hotel and ending at the restaurant. You should invest in better employees.

Nice hotel, except for the service in the restaurant for dinner. We gave up hoping our waitress would at least acknowledge our presence, and moved to the bar, where we suffered the same ignorance. Finally, we walked out and ate travel snacks in the room.

I have traveled with young children. Overall, the hotel was very nice, and the reception staff gave us a warm welcome. When we checked in, I heard about the breakfast time starts at 6am and also we had to participate a competition at before 7:30am so I thought that's the perfect time to get ready after the meal. When we're at the breakfast area around 6:15am and bumped into a lounge staff, then we said to her "Good morning" but she told us with snarky & unhappy voice that "Breakfast time opens up at 6:30am you know?". And the lounge staff made us all feels uncomfortable and unwelcome. Our kids felt also felt awkward whenever she was passing by us and didn’t enjoy the breakfast much as well as the next day breakfast she was there and much looked upset.

The location was good if you like a hotel away from the usual restaurants and commercial businesses like in a downtown area. It is by itself along a golf course. The views are amazing! There is a restaurant called “The View”, makes for amazing sunsets while eating dinner (I recommend the seared ahi tuna). The rooms were clean and fresh. Beds were fair and towels were fair as well. The walls/doors are a bit thin. We could hear little ones running up and down the hallway. Anyway, with all that being said this will be my go to when staying near State College.

This hotel was new and clean, and very spacious. It was nestled within a golf course and had a beatiful view to a nearby skiing hill. There was a minor cleaning product smell when I walked into the room,but that is me being picky and the smell went away. This is a bit away from the downtown, but it was worth the extra drive for a quiet, clean, spacious room.

The location is convenient to the University and Tussey Mtn. Rooms are very clean and updated. The bar/restaurant is awesome and we appreciated that it is open later in the evening. We also like that pet friendly rooms are available and the hotel is very quiet.

I started staying there in December of 2022 when I found myself traveling alone on Christmas to Cleveland Ohio. I found the hotel on hotels.com. I felt so comfortable and safe there and the fact that there was snow on Christmas didn't hurt either. I was so impressed with the room,and the view that I ended up staying one more night on my way home! The price is always just right. I fell in love with the place and stayed there a couple more times traveling between Connecticut and Cleveland Ohio. I finally went for a few days in the summer of 2023 to enjoy the amenities. The food and drinks at the restaurant were really good! Service was wonderful and sitting outside on the deck at sunset was perfect! When my plans for this past New Year's fell through I immediately booked a room for a 3 night stay. I swam in the indoor pool, enjoyed the restaurant and the views. The only thing I was disappointed about was that the restaurant, which is in the hotel was closed on Sunday. I had been looking forward to a leisurely afternoon of drinks and watching sports at the bar. Breakfast was great as always, the room was immaculate and the staff went above and beyond! They allowed me to switch rooms just so I had a view of the mountain! And Gracie from housekeeping was fantastic. She was so nice about cleaning up juice I had spilled on the floor! Clumsy me. I also enjoyed being able to take cocktails back to my room. The only thing I wished was that the bed was a little bit firmer.

From the second you walked in the front door the staff was attentive and super friendly !! Very quick and easy check in. Room was very clean!! Whole facility in general very clean. Another wonderful stay at our favorite State College hotel. Once again the room was immaculate! Staff very welcoming and pleasant. Even though hotel was crowded it was still quiet and peaceful and plenty of delicious food At breakfast. Only issue was that a few of our bath towels were a bit worn looking and at breakfast the waffle batter was should have been more clearly labeled as containing nuts. My 21yr old son who is allergic, didn’t realize it until after he made one. When he went to put syrup on it and only then saw the sign. But I are it instead and it was yummy!
