Stayed 1 night

I paid extra for a room with a view of the city. My fault for booking through a third party vendor, as there are NO rooms with a view of the city! The fire alarm kept flashing all night long and made a clicking noise. The AC was barely working. Had it set at 65 and didn’t get below 73 in the room. So didn’t get any sleep. The bathroom sink wouldn’t drain.

This is a budget hotel. Corner rooms ending 1,2,3 are so small that 2 adults cannot pass by the gap between the king bed which literally takes up the whole room. Rooms along the corridor ending 4 upwards are reasonable. AC didn’t work. No spare rooms to move us on the first night. Staff helpful and kind. Slow elevators. We did not experience much noise from neighbors despite our bed head board being literally level with the room next door. I would not stay again and would recommend another hotel for the price paid.

The hotel and majority of the staff was excellent but for some reason the overnight check in person ruined the whole experience. I’ve never been welcomed to a hotel in such a rude way in my life. I came in and said the logical thing to him that I came checking in. For some reason he was having a bad day and decided to stay silent for a whole 2 minutes and I had to say is there anything you need and he responds with I need your id to check you in. I told him normally a professional at a hotel asks for the last name for the reservation, the reservation number, etc. I don’t understand why I was welcomed such a rude way but I really didn’t appreciate it and it turned me off from checking In at night to deal with this guy. After the literally 3 minute process of checking me in I said thank you multiple times to him and he didn’t respond at all. For someone to works at a courtyard he really needs training. That’s NOT the feeling you should have being checking in to a hotel at this price. Shame on that employee for not appreciating the people who keep his employment current.
