Casa del Sol Motel

My stay was uneventful, which is a good thing. Some things to keep in mind, Parking is first come first serve and also double long spaces, so you could and up being parked in. The mattresses were not very comfortable, but that is on par with the other places I have stayed while there. There was a microwave and small fridge in the room. Overall the location to the convention center will have me likely booking again next year.

The pool opened late and closed much earlier than any other hotel pool in the area. Parking was terrible. We had to double park on Friday and on Saturday there was no parking at all.

Location is ideal for boardwalk. Parking was a tight squeeze for my truck when there was parking. Had to pay to park across the street two nights I was there. Fireworks at night shook the motel. It was too close to that action for me. Staff was friendly.

Our room was OK. It was good enough for the short stay we had. However, the property is dated and needs some renovations. The box springs on our bed were covered with fitted sheets which were very dirty. Thankfully, the sheets themselves appeared clean. Our bathroom door didn't latch and the toilet wobbled when you sat on it. There was hair on the floor and bathroom walls from the previous occupant. Parking is an issue. The spaces are either doubled up so there's a chance you'll get parked in. Or, if you have a tall vehicle, you might not be able to fit it under the overhang over the rest of the spaces. Being right off the boardwalk was nice, though.

Absolutely filthy and outdated. For the amount of money that is charged, functioning ac, door locks and hot water, should have worked! Staff was unavailable, or didn’t exist! The pool was beyond disgusting, and had the murkiest water and “floating” debris. The only thing this rat motel offered, was its location right on the boardwalk. $600 for 2 nights, is absolutely not worth it. Do not stay here.

The bed sheets on the boxspring were filthy, dirty. Looks like coffee or soda was spilled on them. The shower had black hair all over it. The bathroom was so small you had to step in turn around close the door and then stand up, Turn around, open the door and step outside to wash your hands. The towel bar was broken and there was a Piece of metal glued to the wall. The parking was piggyback style. So we were the first car to park in the spot. The second car behind us left the hotel to go on boardwalk, so we could not pull our car out of the parking lot. Not to mention it was a short overhang and scratched the roof as we pulled it. The manager was extremely nasty. He asked for $20 cash for the extra key. I told him to keep the key. he asked me are you responsible people. I answered my husband is a police man. His response was those are the worst kind. The pool was filthy. The railing is not safe for anyone with children because they could fall right over and the paint is peeling off the walls I can go on and on. Never would I recommend this place.

Great place for a night away! Everyone in the area wanted you to book a 2 night stay but we were able to book just 1 night there. Pool was great!

You get what you pay for. Location was great - right off the boardwalk. But, very noisy at night and no place to sit outside because one table was taken by another family from the time we got there until the time we left like they owned the place. Pool closed at 7 so we didn’t even get a chance to use it but it looked decent.

Perfect location. The motel is very traditional as far as motel properties go in Wildwood. The rooms are not carpeted which helps eliminate the musty smell found in similar properties. Unfortunately the parking here was limited and in many spaces you will be blocked by another car (double AND triple! spaces) or another car will be parking YOU in. On the up side, they own an off property lot a few blocks away where you can park with no issues. This was really the most inconvenient and frustrating quality of this motel. Everything else was fine for our short stay!

I didnt like the parking at the time of checking out could not leave cause my car was blocked.

Definitely it was not what I expected , there was a big hole in the wall by the stove, letting a lot of flys to come inside of the room , when I asked the owner to fix it he said “is for ventilation “ When I told him that the fridge didn’t work he respond “ what are you talking about, it work “ “are you planning to move in “ I have a ice achine outside get some ice he said … The floor was wet and slippery, also had a lil smell that make you feel uncomfortable I rented the room for two nights and I couldn't even sleep one night in it, I had to sleep in my car to wait for the next day in the morning to leave that place….

We have stayed here 3 times in the last 2 summers, I just booked for this hotel again. The owner is funny and a nice guy. The rooms are clean. It’s an older hotel so obviously it has its dings. But all together a great hotel.

Le lieu est très bien situé Mais c’est wildwood tout les hôtels et motel sur l’avenue océan ne sont pas neuve il à y eu des entretiens de base en céramique quand même propre Il faut pas à s’attendre à un 5 étoiles C’est très bien pour un cours séjour de 3-4 jours

LIT et Taie d’oreiller trop mince et le tout ne sont pas confortables du tout ... Et bonne chance à ceux qui vont dormir dans ce motel !! BED and pillowcase too thin and the whole thing is not comfortable at all good luck to those who are going to sleep in this motel!!

The location was perfect. The owner allowed us to check in early. Our room was very spacious.

The hotel itself felt kind of old the furniture and everything was pretty old. The beds were hard his room was small but it worked for what I needed which was the convenience of the location. It’s literally block away from the boardwalk and the beach, so that was good.

Great place, practically on the boardwalk. Room was much bigger than expected with a front room and futon. Beautiful deck dining option with outdoor grill. Bathroom and kitchen cabinetry seemed recently updated.

The mattress was hard as a rock, parking was a nightmare and there was no staff after 10 pm

I would rate this a zero if I could. I can understand that it’s a bad situation for the power to be out but to not be notified before my reservation or before the cutoff time the day before when the power had been out for 2 days is ridiculous. The man there for checkin seemed like he was under the influence of something and told us to basically deal with it in so many words. At one point he did say the power should be on in a few minutes but he also said it was supposed to be back on the day before. We were only there for the night and did not want to chance it. Which we were right to do. The power came back on but then went off again and when we passed as on 10pm it was still out. When we called Expedia about the situation they called the establishment and they said they strictly abide by their cancellation policy and would still charge us. Some back and forth with Expedia and we were thankfully able to avoid the charge.

My son and I stay at casa del sol every summer. The owner (Simon I believe his name is) is great. Very funny, friendly, nice and accommodating.

This was our second time staying here. It is not a place to hang out but to come to to sleep and shower. It fit our needs exactly. Close to the beach and boardwalk. Worth the money. Staff was very good.

This is so close to boardwalk. The owner Simon is so nice and assists you with everything. The reasons for this place are so wrong. I would recommend this to anyone. I will definitely come back here. Thank you for everything you did for us during our stay

We had to call someone and then we had to wait for him to com to check in and the office looked like a closet.

Staff was very nice, check in and check out was fast. Room was clean.

Arrived early and was able to park at property until checkin. Very close to beach and boardwalk. Convience of stores and drinks close by.
