Sunflower Motel Hiawatha By OYO

It’s hard to believe Sunflower and Hiawatha are in the name of this hotel. Sunflowers are beautiful. This hotel is not. Hiawatha was a peacemaker. This hotel’s staff only made me angry. The room was drab and worn down, highlighted by the wallpaper that was peeling away from the wall and a bathroom door that wouldn’t close. The door not closing wouldn’t have been a big deal except that I was sharing the room with a friend and so bathrooms time was a little awkward. Upon entering the bathroom area, I found a lovely display (sarcasm for those who don’t get it) of ONE washcloth. That’s it! ONE washcloth. For two people. No hand towels. No bath towels. Just one washcloth. So I guess we were supposed to wash with the cloth, then stand in the tub while the cloth dried so we could dry ourselves, and then share besides? You might say… “well just call the front desk.” Did that….no answer. So I walked over to the lobby. No one there. Rang the bell on the counter. Nope. A little later my friend and I stepped out of the room to try and find someone cleaning one of the rooms. We saw no cart but saw a lady coming out of a room and it appeared she worked there so we went to ask about additional washcloths and towels. She just looked at us. No words. No towels. No sunflowers. No peace. We will never stay there again.

Tv had one channel, no hand towels, room doesn't looks like the picture online. No cable, no phone.

Clean, convenient, comfy

The pictures in the ad had to be very old. The place looks like it should be condemned on the outside. Inside room we're clean but falling apart as well. Would not recommend.

This place would be good if they put some money into renovations. The rooms are outdated. Bed was extremely uncomfortable it was like sleeping on a cot with a mattress. When I turned on the shower brown water came out, the bathroom sink sprayed water when it was turned on. The place really needs an update. But the real reason for the review is it’s shady there. Random people knocking on your door at 930pm, people arguing and fighting in the parking lot. This place appears to be a motel where people live and it shows. The walls are paper thin I could hear conversations clearly through both walls if my room. There were no amenities at all. Basic stuff, bed and shower. I didn’t listen to the reviews but I suggest you do.
