Uma House by Yurbban South Beach

Good hotel/room but pool was closed for a private event on 1 of 2 days we were there without notice and the private event was $50 which could have been free for hotel guests. Also we got unlucky with the room as our neighbors were extremely noisy, we were put between 2 rooms where a larger family had multiple rooms....

Excellent on almost all levels. REALLY BAD that the rooftop pool was booked out for a private party our first night with no notice. It's why we chose the hotel. Should have been refunded a bit or at least not made to feel it is what it is.

Check in process was smooth, all staff were super nice. Location very convenient - Close walk to the beach! Rooftop pool was great - it was clean and floaties were provided. Cons: we stayed in the building without the rooftop pool so any time we wanted to go back to the room, we needed to walk through the outside street. Wish we stayed in the building with the pool. Also, the drinks at the rooftop pool were outrageously expensive!!! I was hoping to have a few when lounging around but after getting the first little Margarita at $23 US, I didn’t dare order a second one.

We decided to reserve at the hotel for our "staycation" for the SOBEFWF and enjoyed our stay (2 nights) Just an observation: The water in the pool might not have had the correct chemical balance, it looked a bit dirty. Also the parking is not very convenient upon arrival. Other than that, the stay was pleasant! Very friendly staff at check in desk.

Hotel close to shops and restaurants, a few steps from the beach and free deckchairs available at Boucher and Brothers, roof top swimming pool with nice view, however a bit small for the number of people who stay at UMA so never enough space and quality of the rather average water. Our room was very clean and well decorated, however there is a serious lack of storage for 3 people, in the bedroom (no closed cupboard just 5 hangers and a single bedside table for 2 beds) and in the bathroom (no cupboard just the sink to put our things and just a hook for a towel), well-stocked mini bar, however, it was very difficult to get bottles of water (when we arrived from a bike ride we were thirsty and asked to buy a bottle water at the reception unfortunately this was not possible)... The Americano café in which you can have lunch and which is attached to the hotel is very good but a bit expensive ($80 USD for 3 people for small lunches) and some servers are not really patient with people who do not speak English or Spanish well, no possibility of eating just an omelet you will have to take the whole dish unfortunately .... But in the whole mble the hotel is very practical and well maintained and the neighbors of rooms rather quiet despite the heavy spring break period! I recommend this hotel for those who want to visit

Very conveniently located to Miami/South Beach. There were tons of great restaurants and bars and lots of stores. The hotel was nice and in great repair. Valet parking is spendy and even slower than expected (15 mins was almost half an hour). The room was awesome, clean and there was a hand written note with a bottle of champagne, which was really nice. The front desk worker sending us to the wrong building because she is “still new” was less new. Staff was the least friendly (and competent) in the 5 different hotels we stayed in.

Good location. Walkable to restaurants and shops, 2 blocks from the beach. Service was good. We had a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine, and they were nice enough to accommodate a late check-out. Despite privacy turned on, house-keeping knocked while we were in the room. The roof top pool was very nice, but lacked any service.

Melinda at front desk very unhelpful. Beach several blocks away and too far. Pool closed at 1pm for several days for private party so our kids couldn't enjoy pool. Sheets were dirty.

Boutique hotel centrally nestled between Dade Blvd. and Collins Ave. with plenty of eateries in a short walking distance. The property has a personal touch, the staff and front desk are very attentive, and the pool located at the 4th floor of the second building provides some well-needed refuge after a hot day at the beach or walking down Ocean Dr.

This has been my favorite hotel in Miami Beach. Great prices and couple blocks from the beach. It’s nice and bright and fun friendly staff. Complimentary prosecco for hotel guests all day and night. Nice rooftop lounge with bar but pool is tiny so if you want to lay by the pool, gotta make sure you get there early enough to grab a spot. Rooms are nice and the connected restaurant is really good for all day dining and drinks. Walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and bars.

I’ve stayed in Miami Beach/south beach three times and this has been my favourite place to stay. The room was cleaned every day very well and the property was beautiful. We always had fresh towels and really appreciated that they had beach chairs to use at the ocean. The pool was lovely too - very aesthetically pleasing and comfortable stay! Location was really great with lots to eat and do close by. Thank you for great hospitality, UMA house!

The reception area is lovely and bright. Staff are very welcome. Rooftop pool is great however on my visit the bathroom they were not very clean. Bins overflowing People had had also been eating by the pool a nd one of the sunbeds was covered in crumbs. Pointed out dirty area around this bed to the barman however nothing was done.. If it wasn't for this, I would have given top marks as my room was beautiful.

Price and location were good. Nice boutique hotel. Unfortunately, there were many issues: We got the room after 4 p.m. The smell in the hotel and room was horrible. They probably have an underlying problem that they are trying to mask. The windows in our room did not open, and our view was of another building less than a meter away. Beach access is through a third party. We got two chairs far from the beach (an umbrella costs $22) with no drink service. Finally, valet parking ($49 per night) was a total disaster. They work with a third party that services six hotels and only have two spots in front of the hotel. During rush hour, there was no space to park, and they took forever to retrieve the car (I stayed outside, which helped me avoid a ticket). When we were ready to leave for the airport, it took them over 30 minutes to get our car, even though the standard wait time was supposed to be 15 minutes.

I had reserved my room beginning Saturday, as I was planning to arrive very late that evening. I completed the check-in process through the app on Saturday afternoon. However, upon my arrival at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, I was informed that my reservation had been canceled on Saturday. This caused a significant inconvenience, as I had to wait approximately 30 minutes before receiving my room keys. Once I entered the room, which was booked for two guests, I found that only one set of towels had been provided. Throughout my four-day stay, housekeeping service was inconsistent. My room was serviced only twice, and the second time occurred only after I personally went to inquire why it had not been cleaned. The explanation given was that I had placed a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door—yet no such sign had ever been present in my room. When service was provided, the quality did not meet basic standards. The bathroom was not cleaned properly, the trash can was not emptied, and the bed was made with only one sheet, without the additional sheet and duvet that should have been provided. Additionally, I had booked this stay as a VIP anniversary trip, and I was very disappointed that no amenities or special touches were arranged to acknowledge the occasion, despite the information provided at booking. Overall, this experience fell short of the service and standards I expected.

This property used to be part of the old apartments in Miami Beach that was converted into a hotel. This is maybe the cleanest hotel I’ve been in a long time. The lobby service was superb. I suggest take the valet. Collins Ave is just 1/2 block away and Lincoln Road just 4 blocks away. You can enjoy Miami Beach at it fullest and still have a relaxing staying at this hotel.

The latch on the door was broken. There was a smell coming in the hallway and elevator in the building I was in. The overall cleanliness of the building was not great. And it was noisy. A lot of Noise from the above unit and the hallway. Very thin walls

No sofa or chair to sit in the room. Only one small square ottoman to sit and it felt unstable. There is one 3 tiers shelf and one narrow and short counter space in the room. Not enough surfaces to put luggage and stuff on. We can only put one carry on size suitcase on the shelf. Two backpacks had to be on the floor. Also there is no grip handler in the shower which is not safe.

Not a really welcoming staff !! The rooms are extremely noisy and with no view (a wall) I found this hotel this hotel definitely not as good as it is advertised... lots of other options in Miami Beach

The room we had (240 I think?) Was fine for a single person on a work trip. My partner and I travel together for work and it was way too small, especially for a 5 day work trip. The staff were lovely, and the pool area is great. Bed's were comfortable. Dark red headboards in a tiny room was an odd choice, and finding anywhere to put things like toiletries was impossible - but the part I really didn't like was that there were no security measures between our hotel room door and the street. Anyone could have just walked up to our door at any time. There were security doors for the interior rooms opened by key but there didn't seem to be any consideration for the rooms outside of those doors. It didn't feel safe and I was uncomfortable. For that reason I wouldn't stay again.

Overall good - great location. Room was small but okay. One negative was the noise through the door of the adjoining room. Small girl was very loud and somehow up until midnight apparently as their main source of entertainment each night, and they were up and loudly exiting each day at 5:30am . Point being, get thicker doors of adjoining rooms.

Overall excellent. This is a beautiful hotel. Staff is lovely. The only negative was that the 38 line of rooms has the headboards up against the wall shared with the elevator shaft if you are a sensitive sleeper you'll hear the elevators going up and down all night. Otherwise, it was very quiet, clean, and comfortable. There could have been a better use of space in the bathroom for hanging towels and I wish there was more countertop.

This is our second stay at Uma House. This visit we stayed in the superior suite and it is must book. it was spacious, had two bathrooms, 1 king bed, one murphy bed that we could transform into a hang out area. Uma house is the perfect hotel in the perfect location. adding breakfast to your booking is a must. there’s an option for everyone. complimentary bikes during our stay, 2 beach chairs very close, and happy hour in the lobby from 5-6 everyday. the pool is peaceful and there’s ample areas to lounge and sit. this is our favorite hotel in south beach and i recommend it to everyone. exceeded expectations!

Pros: 1. Great location: The hotel is very close to the beach and within walking distance to almost everything. 2. Rooftop and pool: The rooftop area is cozy and pleasant. The pool, while not large, is sufficient and enjoyable. 3. Spacious room and clean bathroom: The room was large, and the bathroom was one of the cleanest and most modern I’ve seen. 4. Ample storage space: Plenty of closets in the room made storing belongings easy. 5. Free wine hour: Complimentary wine service on the rooftop from 5-6 PM was a delightful touch. Cons: 1. Ventilation issues: The lack of proper ventilation was disappointing. Opening windows wasn’t possible, which made the room feel stuffy and restrictive. Nights were especially uncomfortable due to poor air circulation. 2. Internet issues: While WiFi worked fine for basic tasks, it was slow for downloads. Mobile internet also struggled to connect. 3. Lack of seating: The room would benefit from a small chair or couch beyond the bed for added comfort. 4. Terrible coffee: The coffee was extremely disappointing. Uma House should consider changing their supplier or coffee quality. Overall: A solid 4/5. The location, spacious rooms, and rooftop are definite highlights, but issues like ventilation and coffee quality were unfortunate. Note: The staff were excellent—kind and attentive, though valet drivers could improve.

I recently stayed at UMA House and had a mixed experience. Here’s a breakdown: Pros: Fantastic location: The hotel is in a prime spot, making it easy to walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops. Spacious room: The room had plenty of space to move around, which was a nice surprise. Cons: Noisy doors: The doors slam shut loudly, which meant being woken up several times throughout the night. This was a major downside. Uncomfortable bed: The bed was not as comfortable as I’d hoped, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. While the location and room size were great, the lack of comfort and the noise made the stay less enjoyable. If these issues were addressed, it could be a much better experience.

Good location and great amenities. The issue I had was with check in. There was an issue with check in I think the manager did not handle well and didn't introduce herself til the end of the conversation. The rest of the front desk was helpful.

UMA house is our new place to stay in Miami. Excellent location, beautiful facilities and a friendly staff made our stay wonderful. Loved being greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne upon check-in. Room was clean and spacious. We had shared that we were celebrating our 30th Anniversary and we found a bottle of champagne with a nice note congratulating us waiting for us in our room. The pool area was gorgeous and a nice retreat after spending time at the beach. My husband accidentally left 5 pairs of his shoes at the hotel. We didn’t discover until we had left port for our cruise. Being at sea, we couldn’t contact the hotel for 3 days and I figured shoes would be lost/thrown away. When we finally were able to contact hotel was very happy to learn shoes were still there and waiting on our return. UMA House exceeded our expectations on every level. We will be returning!

Staff is horrible They refused to honor any VIP service or any upgrade . I asked 3 times for a plastic bag and then ended up going down to talk to them jus to get a laundry bag !!!!

Both the guy & lady at Check-in staff lacked a warm welcome. Very mute actually besides the necessities. The friendly guy walking us all the way to our room after the check-in process was unique. We booked 3 days but were only given one washcloth and 2 towels total. Upon request they provided more. Record player in room was a nice touch. Parking is not close so plan to walk a few blocks if you park. Overall it was a modern property with great details and a relaxing atmosphere.

Uma exceeded our expectations. The staff will go above and beyond to make your stay great. Uma includes so many free amenities you’d have to pay elsewhere. From the bottle of champagne on arrival, to the free happy hour wine everyday, to the beach chairs is an incredible value for south beach. On top of all of that they let us check in 6 hours early and for a small fee let us stay 4 hours late our last day because we had a late flight. The beds were so comfortable and everything so clean I felt at home the whole time. Wouldn’t go anywhere else, thank you all.

Before arriving I was sent an email to check in online. I uploaded my license, a verification photo and credit card and ticked that I’d be using valet for one night. I was emailed a QR code to use at the desk to get my keys. The front desk staff was friendly but did not take the QR code and instead repeated the process using my license and credit card. The room was clean and comfortable. We arrived at the rooftop bar at 6:50. It closes at 7pm but we were told they were closing and wouldn’t serve any drinks. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Upon checkout the valet moved the car closer to the stroller ramp so we wouldn’t have to walk a bit farther to where it was which was above and beyond. The hotel is more affordable than others and walking distance to the beach, many restaurants, and CVS for anything you need.

Excellent stay at Uma House. Room cleaned perfectly daily and clean fresh towels provided. Joseph did an excellent job helping us check in and check out with our luggage and bags. Valuable employee of the hotel. Hotel located a block from the beach and a few blocks from Lincoln Road Mall.

Great location, helpful staff, beach 5 minute walk. The pool area looked great but was down for maintenance and we were offered a pass to a neighboring pool. We just went to the beach instead. Room was clean and comfortable. Valet was easy and quick.

My daughter and I were guest of the hotel while attending a financial conference at the convention center. The hotel was clean, staff was hospitable and just a short walk to the centre.

Staff are all welcoming and nice and polite! bar tenders at the pool are awesome...especially DARIO...he knows how to entertain profesionally and make everyone feel comfortable! NICE GUY! NICE PLACE!...love the food at the restaurant too!...everything was there at our comfort! will definitely go back to UMA! THANKS a lot!!

Great Service and clean rooms. The breakfast is a la carte. To the beach it’s only 5 minutes from the lobby. Chairs and towels for the beach are provided. Thanks to the team!

I requested an early check in and the front desk made it possible for me to check in before 4pm. I also requested to have a room in the building where the pool & rooftop are located. The gym is located in the main building - small but has everything for a full body workout and clean. They host a happy hour at the rooftop from 5-6pm, free white & red wine with 1/2 price on bites. Overall great services, amenities and location. I just wouldn't say it is a family with younger kids hotel.

Excellent central location and close to all services In front of the hotel there is a stop for bus 150 express service to/from the airport for 2.25 usd. Breakfast is served in the lovely American restaurant behind the hotel Quiet area 5 minutes walk from the beach. The bathroom sink is very inconvenient.

Nice hotel, renovated, large room and bathroom. The service was great. They left us a beautiful hand written note for our wedding anniversary in the room. Complimentary wine at the pool from 5pm to 6 pm was appreciated, as was the welcome drink. Great location and delicious breakfast served at Cafe Americano on Collins. Overall a very good hotel, we would stay again.

Had a mosquito in the room and the shower was stuck initially. Breakfast seems to be available in collaboration with a cafe next door (which means breakfast is only available from 8am onwards). Aside from that, the hotel was great

Great hotel, located in the middle of south beach so easy access to restaurants and attractions. Breakfast is great so I strongly recommend you select that option when booking! Staff are friendly and helpful, hotel rooms are clean and modern. The only thing is room does not have a view but that’s not a concern for us as we’re out all day on the beach anyway. Highly recommend!
