I don’t recommend this hotel. It is poorly (cheaply) managed. Bed sheet appeared not changed (with hair), no heat, not hot water (later fixed, but hot water on & off), very noisy (window had no soundproof, street noise, airplane noise). The room was cold, so I requested for an extra blanket and slept with my sweater on. Bad experience! Receptionist was friendly. It had 4 off street parking spaces, $20 each per night, much cheaper than garage. It is also very convenient to many restaurants.

It did not have a parking lot accessible. I was not aware there was no parking. It didn’t look safe. After checking in, I was so unsatisfied, I did not return to the hotel. I did not call to cancel but I still have the hotel keycards since I did not got back.

When we first arrived, the TV kept cutting out, and it took about 30 minutes for the staff to remove and replace it with a new one. The room also didn’t have a microwave initially—we had to request one to be brought up. It seems the hotel is undergoing some renovations, so hopefully things will improve once the work is completed. Aside from those issues, the room itself was fine.

Great location, close to subways. You got what you paid for. Very beaten down, that’s probably why price is way cheaper than others. Parking was a pain, even we paid for parking in their own little area. Had to move cars due to limited space, blocking each other. Condition is poor, almost everything was falling apart. We only needed one night before flying out, so it didn’t bother us much

How this property got 8.2 rating on hotels.com is beyond me. It was dirty. The rooms were tiny. There was no breakfast that they advertised, there was no shuttle that they advertised. There was a mostly empty vending machine in the lobby selling cans of soda for $5 and generic brand water for $3. Only one person in the hotel spoke English and she gave us the room key without the room being available. Because they were rushed, they did a horrible job cleaning the room. There were stickers from bananas on the back of the bathroom door, and empty toilet paper roll on the floor, and a huge stain next to the toilet paper dispenser on the wall. The furniture was generic at best, thrift store quality almost.

This property is dirty there were bugs in the shower. The bathtub was dirty. The staff very rude.

Upon arriving at the room (702), the surprised-looking cleaner was finishing up, and left the room promptly, after spraying a few squirts of some cleaning chemical into the air. A long list of problems ensued: Wifi not working Disgustingly dirty room Cold shower Noise Problem 1 - the neighbouring guests entering or leaving the room close to my room. Noise Problem 2 - the Ice machine within 8 feet of my door sounded like an industrial drill upon use. Noise Problem 3 - the room that I was allocated, had windows facing on to the outside pavement. On the pavement were the hotel waste bins, about 5 of them, including empty bottles. These bins were emptied at 2.54am. Noise Problem 4 - the noise of the traffic. I could hear every truck passing. Noise Problem 5 - the people, especially the woman, in the adjacent to mine, were having sex very loudly. Air Conditioning not working properly Room Aesthetics - loose cables, poorly fitted blinds. The Smell - in the room and throughout the whole hotel there was a pungent chemical smell, not at all nice, in fact quite putrid. Basement Area - cleaning trollies in foyer Customer Service non-existent I have taken videos and photos of the above items. I will be sharing the above list of issues and images with Hotels.com as a review and as a formal complaint. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels for business and personal purposes and have never faced such disgusting conditions.

We came here for a one night stay. We had two rooms for 6 people. I arrived at 2 and was told to come back at 3 for check in. When I checked in, I checked both rooms. The stench in the hallways, the lack of cleaning in the rooms, and the general quality of the hotel and rooms was pretty awful. It was so bad that I gave my family the option to just go back home and lose the $450 we paid. We decided to stick it out and I am happy to say that we survived! There is hope. The shower does turn hot after 10 minutes of running. Half my family is impatient. Cold shower. The other half are patient. Warm shower. Our family has learned what our hotel quality limits are from this stay. Do not recommend. You have been warned.

Bathroom didn’t work and place was dirty

The bathroom had Cockroaches, the room had too much loud noise and the staff was not friendly

The room was very unclean with dirty carpets and broken furniture. I was given a room underground with no windows next to a loud ice machine. The air-conditioner barely worked, kept turning off every couple of hours and had exposed wiring (pictures included below). I had a very poor experience, which is a shame because of how expensive the room was for one night. Would not recommend

When we checked in we were given a room that I wouldn’t put a homeless person in. Dirty sheets, shower curtain hanging and sticky floors. I couldn’t believe that this was what $300 would buy for a one night stay. We were given a second room after showing pictures of the first. It was slightly better but I wouldn’t stay a second night.

For a one night stay it was a very nice experience. My only complaints were that the bathroom still had hair, etc on the floor from the previous tenants, the shower had some pretty harsh water stains/mildew stains (was clean but I didn’t want to chance it without flip flops), and there was minimal lighting except for a small desk lamp. Otherwise, it was a very nice stay with many food and entertainment options within walking distance.

The room wreaked of air freshener to mask the smell of mildew and weed. Air filter for AC was dirty. The staff was friendly enough. The bed was clean. This was a last minute booking, so expectations weren't high. It sufficed for one night, but I do NOT plan on returning.

Disgustingly filthy. Shower head had black gunk all around it. Drain for bathroom, not the tub/shower, had hair collected in and around it with build up of filth. Floor was sticky from something, I wore socks or had towels on the floor to avoid direct contact. Window opened to construction overhang and window was unlocked. Missing blackout curtains which was a problem due to facing the street and multiple bright lights.

The mattress was BROKEN in room 601 so I didn't sleep all night for fear of falling out of bed.

Love staying there when we come to the city. Very easy to get to the train to go into Manhattan & the Bronx etc. The only downside is the tv kept losing the wifi & we were constantly having to unplug the tv & plug it back in. We also dealt with other guests being quite loud at the very early hours of the morning.

3/3 -> 3/6 Review The actual hotel is solid 5 star. Staff are nice and room is okay. The type of crowd the hotel attract is the main issue. The crowd is loud and aggressive. 2 couples arguing loudly in the hallway in the middle of night 2am.

Just noise outside.

1st floor was noisy as it’s next to storage unit and front door. Also since it’s near LGA there’s airplane noise as well. Everything else was decent.

There was no restriction to shorten stay period after checking in my previous reservations through Hotels.com, but this property didn’t know how to do or what to do. Lack of training for front desk staffs. Terrible experience.

I stayed at the Sky Hotel for one night. The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in by far. Check in took 45 minutes just to get a room key, with the problem being the website you used to book. For some reason if you booked with Expedia you were given a room last with little to no explanation. The room was disgusting. The door lock was broken and did not work. There were baby roaches in the bathroom and flies everywhere. There was no phone in the room and the TV remotes did not work. The bed had a bed bug trap on it. It also had a very uncomfortable plastic cover under the sheets. After speaking to the front desk we were able to get a new room. If there was an option for a refund I would have jumped at that and stayed somewhere else. The key we were given was the same one we used for the first room, just with a different number scribbled on it. We were confused on how a key for one room could work on another and found that it opened all room doors. Extremely unsafe and concerning. The elevator took extremely long to work, the stairs is recommended instead. The water also took very long to warm up. The staff was pretty friendly, no complaints with them. The only good part of the hotel was the location. There are plenty of dining and shopping options around. However, overall it was a terrible stay and I do not recommend staying here unless absolutely necessary.

Excellent customer service. Front desk is very friendly and always helpful. I will come back again on my next stay.

For the price, our stay was quite nice. The staff was nice but when it came to addressing some concerns it seemed as though they aimed at telling us what we wanted to hear rather than solving the issue. Our main concern was dealing with a malfunctioning lock that would not lock once we left the room. We tried multiple times to get someone to fix our door over the course of our stay but even by the end of it all, the lock was still malfunctioning. We were, however, able to lock the door when we were inside our room which gave us a minimal sense of security when sleeping in the room. We were, nonetheless, still concerned about our belongings throughout the day during the times that we were not in our room, because from the outside, we could easily push the door open without having to even turn the handle no matter l our efforts in trying to close the door properly. On another note, the hotel was quite decent given the price. The location was also very convenient given its close proximity to different malls, restaurants, cafes, and other small independent businesses.

It’s a simple but good hotel nearby the metrostation. There are a lot of restaurants in the neighborhood. The employees of the hotel are very friendly and helpful.

This hotel was fine for an emergency night stay when our flight was delayed. There were so many options to eat Asian food and boba tea around us, but our next flight left too early in the morning to enjoy them.

Clean, comfortable room. Courteous front desk staff. Neighborhood has so many great Asian dining options and the 7 train 2 blocks away. Would stay again.

This is a budget hotel and doesn’t pretend otherwise. But our room was very clean, the A/C worked well in blazing summer heat, and there was free coffee ready in the morning. The accommodations exceeded the price. 5 stars!

I did not like it is that the safe box is not working. no face tissues in the room. the door was dirty. not much hot water available. the coffee in the lobby was not available all the time, since there is no coffee maker in the room.

The Sky Hotel is a rather modest hotel located in Flushing, Queens. I found it a bit overpriced compared to other hotels in the area - possibly because there was a high demand at the time of my stay. The room was clean and the bed and equipments good. Unlike other hotels in the area the Sky hotel does not offer a basic breakfast on morning - only coffee. I did not like the bags with dirty linen in the corridors. On the good side, the staff - I guess it's a family business - was very friendly and always willing to help. My feeling is, small improvements could make the Sky hotel as good as neighboring hotels - I hope they will do the effort.
