Maldron Hotel Parnell Square Dublin City

The hotel is good. You can catch the bus just in front of the hotel, just a few meters down the road. The water dispenser is a very wise idea and shows the hotel management’s commitment to environmental issues. Breakfast is good, and the staff are dedicated. The room is very nice and tidy thanks to the staff’s hard work, but the only problem is that there is absolutely no soundproofing at all. The bathroom is nice, but the lights should be dimmable—at least one of the two lighting fixtures.

My stay was fantastic! Easy check in and check out. Super clean room with comfy beds. Kettle in the room and bottled water and biscuits were refreshed daily. Also loved that there were ice and water machines in the lobby so you could fill bottles before heading out! Breakfast was also great and a huge selection. Food stayed warm and there was a designated dietary requirement area if you needed that. Only thing that stopped me giving 5 stars was that there was a slight pee smell in the bathroom when we arrived but disappeared after I ran bath/shower etc.

Parking isn't exactly convenient. Its a 10 minute walk to the parking garage. Not horrible...if youre not dragging luggage!

Over our two week Dublin stay, we stayed here 5 nights and the rest at Hilton Garden and the Travelodge. This hotel came at a lower price and has some pros and I’d say minor cons. Location is great for upper O’Connell and Parnell St. Rooms are basic, a little older with a little more wear/tear than at the Travelodge. Staff was very friendly and cleaning staff worked hard to keep the rooms up. Any problems and I felt they would address it promptly. Room rates were a little less than Travel Lodge and Hilton. The neighborhood looks a little rougher however we didn’t experience it to truly be that way and we enjoyed the closer proximity to Parnell St and the Intl. restaurants it offers. Just a short 10 minute walk north is a great breakfast spot called the Yellow Cafe (a great local find) and I’d also recommend a quick walk through the beautiful, peaceful park/duck pond, Blessington Basin. The Maldron has a nice atrium area on the ground floor with tables and couches, a TV and faux fireplace - a nice area to relax with friends/family. We didn’t eat at the Maldron’s restaurant but other guests seemed to be enjoying it. The coffee and drink bar was attentive and the bartender /barista made decent drinks. We appreciated the filtered water dispenser near the check-in counter so we could fill up our drinking water bottles daily. All in all, we would definitely return here knowing now the Maldron met our needs at a competitive price.

Good size of room . Bed comfortable . Location walkable. The only thing is it’s noisy at night , being close to the street , we hear the bus , horses , shouting people it woke us up in the middle of the night . Didn’t bother to change room because it’s a hassle and we have a tight schedule everyday . There’s always a wait for the elevator too, so use the stairs

Modern new hotel with good facilities. Friendly helpful staff. Very busy road with no parking to drop off. Parking in multi storey some distance away. Not suitable for disabled

The property is not bad but noticed poor maintenance and upkeep There are two lifts but only one was in working order, busy season, parents with children and elderly people were seen queuing up for lifts for far longer We stayed there for two nights but still there was only one lift working when we left. To begin with, our room was at the fifth floor but we had to wait for long periods for the lift, going by stairs at my age was not wise, I get out of breath We requested for another room at the ground or first floor which they gave us on the first floor so could come down by stairs. But in this room we felt suffocated as there was not big window to watch the view outside, only small box window, high up near the ceiling and could not lift curtains for we could see other people’s windows The worst thing was that all the lights were gone off all of sudden when we were having some snacks and drinks, phone on reception was off, my wife had to go to see at reception desk and informed about lights After about 15 minutes, one person was knocking at the door, when my wife opened and the person was far from being polite and asked, ‘’ have you been using adaptors, should not use adapters’’ to which we said we got no adapters, only charges for the phone, seemed he was not interested to pay any attention and said again’ don’t use adapters’ and just slammed the door shut. My wife was not happy, she was upset, she found this fellow been very rude and not even saying sorry for the situ

Comfortable, spotless room. Staff were friendly and helpful

The room was spacious, clean, spotless, quiet and had all the amenities like iron with a stand, blow dryer, etc. I stayed for a night with my kids and i think it was very comfortable and accessible just few mins walk from the square where all the shopping and restaurants are. The bathroom was very clean as well. Good value for money.

This hotel was very comfortable and felt very safe. The only downside was that the room was VERY dusty and there were stains in various places around the room (on the duvet covers (conveniently hidden by the yellow blanket), on the bathroom mirror and on the wooden paneling. However, the reception and breakfast staff were so lovely and helpful. I would stay here again if the cleanliness was improved.

My only complaint is the cleanliness. Room wasn’t vacuumed and didn’t take our trash. Last day they gave us a towel that had brown stains everywhere so we just used it to put outside of the shower to dry our feet. Other than that the stay was good. Bed is comfortable and workers are nice!

Room was spotless comfortable beds plenty clesn towels, lovely tea and coffee facilities in room and biscuits, really enjoyed it.

Petit déjeuner excellent, par contre la chambre n’a pas ete faite un matin, pas très agréable de retrouver ses serviettes mouillées le soir

Very clean room and hotel, staff all super helpful.

The hotel was spotless and included breakfast had lots of variety. The location was walkable to the city center. My only complaint was the size of the bathroom. You could hardly open the door and had to squeeze by to get into the bathroom. The staff were very pleasant.

The family room was nice and large with 3 queen beds.

Disapointed that there are no fridges in rooms. Cant even store milk without using the warm milk satchets.

Vores - ikke billige - superior-værelse var placeret i kælderen! Der var derfor ikke reelt dagslys på værelset. Hvis vi rullede gardinerne fra, kunne vi se op på bordene i restaurantområdet. Og folk derfra kunne kigge ind i værelset. Derudover manglede vi et køleskab på værelset.

It was ok. The beds were nice but I don't understand why there wasn't a flat sheet, just a duvet. Also, the air conditioning system didn't work well so sleeping in a hot room was very uncomfortable. No vent in the bathroom created lots of steam and mold on all the walls

Dated rooms, tiny sized and honestly not worth staying here at all considering they have very noisy plumbing and uncomfortable beds. For the price it is extortion for what you actually get

We were very pleased with this hotel selection. It was perfect for our family of 5 because most places in Europe can only fit 4 or else we are forced to get two rooms. The family-sized room was very spacious and nicely decorated. We had a room on the ground floor, which we prefer, tucked away in a corner so it was very quiet. I loved the lobby area with the restaurant and areas to relax and hang out if you didn’t want to be stuck in your room. The hotel was a short 15 minute walk to the center of Dublin to all of the touristy spots. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for the large rooms and the price point.

A fine large family room ,which was prefect for our family stay of 3 adults and 2 children. Very quiet

Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Receptionist was terrible. Needs to revisit her job description and change her attitude. Parking was 5 minute drive away. Beds were not comfortable and only 2 pillows which was strange. Indicated additional towels in wardrobe but there were none. Cleaner entered our room after we left sign saying do not disturb. Bathroom was good size with good shower pressure. Over all location was ok relative to Downtown. With a few changes it could improve significantly but can’t recommend staying here. Management needs to be revisited. I would seek accommodation elsewhere if we return to Dublin.

Convenient and within walking distance from the city centre. Plenty of pubs and food choices nearby. On-site food and drinks available. Self-checkin was easy to use and convenient. Staff very friendly

High quality property, conveniently located near the bus stop to/from the airport. Excellent staff.

Never got to stay here as the hotel gave away our room, even after we called to inform them of our delayed arrival. However they did finds us another place to stay, but in a downgraded room further from the center.

Very friendly receptionists

No bottled water in room. Only 3 coffee sachets no biscuits or fruit. No shower cap shampoo , conditioner or shower gel instead there was an all in one. Dissapointing stay.

Hotel and service were great. Location was OK but not good at night. Easy access to bus and transit. A good 10 minute walk to the tourist area.

The Hotel was easy to find and 5 mins walk from the main Connell Street (easy access to Aircoach 700 buses to and from Airport) There were plenty of options for restaurants and shopping area wasn’t far. 20 mins walk to the South side for Temple Bar area, Dublin castle and Trinity College

Nice inside but the neighbourhood is rough. Dirty sidewalks, and a couple ‘massage’ places that are poorly disguised brothels right across the street

Good walkability, close to O'Connell Street

Out of all the places we stayed in Dublin this neighborhood felt unsafe.

Beautiful newer hotel, great amenities, centrally located. Not the best area directly around, O’Connell street 2 blocks away.

Loved the location and the restaurant was very good too. Very easy to get around the city from the hotel.

Maldron Parnell is so accessible to bus transport, and is walking distance to O Connor street, to the different bridges around City Centre. There are many eateries nearby, attractions like Dublin Castle, City Hall and Temple Bar are easy to reach.

Great location

Fantastic hotel, very well maintained with helpful, well-trained staff. Our room was larger than expected, and the complimentary water was a nice touch. The beds were really comfortable, and it was just a short walk to the town centre. Breakfast had a great selection, including a gluten-free section with cereals, bread, and croissants – much appreciated as I’m coeliac. I did see someone put regular bread in the gluten-free toaster, but staff responded quickly by unplugging it and taking it away to be cleaned. Would happily stay again.

Rooms were lovely and very clean. The restaurant food was excellent, with many choices for every palate.

We stayed here for the location, mainly because it's right next to Hugh Lane gallery, where the tour to the Cliffs of Moher was. And if you take a short walk, you'll be right at O'Connell street, the main street in Dublin. One negative is their takeaway breakfast was not worth the €15 they charged. If you go on the early tours, then I suggest you get your own snacks before going.

Great hotel, rooms comfortable though family room was a bit small. Not keen on shower over bath as it’s a real slip hazard for those that are a bit unsteady. Nice touch with tea, coffee, biscuits and water in room. Beds and pillows comfortable, air con a bonus. Fantastic choice on breakfast buffet one of the best in the hotels around Parnell Square though hot buffet was very slow to be replenished at the most busiest of time around 9am.

Disappointed with restaurant, had fish and chips which was sooo overcooked and dry. my partner wanted chicken supreme but was told half hour wait so he changed his mind and ordered something else. We still waited 40 mins for food. My kids wanted dessert but the waiter came over and asked if we wanted the bill so at that stage I felt we were being kicked out. We weren’t made feel too welcome so we paid and left. We felt the staff couldn’t be bothered and no one tried to upsell. Rooms were fine but really disappointed with restaurant

Vi ringte før vi bestilte for å sjekke at det var tilgang til hotellet med bil for å sette av bagasje. De sa ingen problem, men dette stemte ikke. Helt umulig å parkere i nærheten. Parkeringhuset de hadde avtale med var 10 min gåtur unna som er helt greit. Parkeringshuset er Q-park og plassene så små at å parkere en SUV var en skikkelig utfordring. Rommet var veldig fint. Behagelig seng og supert bad. Frokosten var litt under pari. De var altfor sene med å fylle på, så mye var tomt kl 0830. En haltime inn i frokosten.
