This place was great! Huge rooms, high end bar and restaurants prem, and very responsive staff. Drawbacks: 3 flights up for some rooms if you’re in need of accessibility, and the bar didn’t have a corkscrew for a wine bottle we wanted to enjoy before dinner. But no prob, they located it after about 15-20 min and we had a great night!

Large, clean room and bathroom the hotel had lots of public space and would be great option for business meetings or weddings. Easy walk to the castle, medieval mile, pubs snd restaurants. We were in a garden room which requires a little outside walk to main hotel, but we had beautiful weather so it was not a problem.

Had a spacious garden suite. Huge property with most of it appearing to be vacant. Lovely walk outside to suite. Large clean room with nice amenities. Unusual tv that changed to a picture when not in use. Adequate parking by hotel. Dinner ok. Included breakfast very good.

Property’s main level indoor event rooms and restaurant, as well as outside patio are beautiful. Nice bar on site with live music in the evening. Location is perfect to walking to all sites, restaurants, shopping. Our room was comfortable, but dated and no lift. Three floors up. It wasn’t a problem for us, but keep that in mind if it might be for you.

Family stayed 2nites, didnt mind above the bar but room needs a good reno (broken tiles in bathroom and mold) and room wasnt as clean. Bfast was lovely, the waitress we had was so friendly. Checkin was later then usual, 4pm. Reception staff not friendly at all. Great location to shops, eateries and castle.

Langtons has an amazing accessible parking lot behind the hotel, even though they’re smack dab in the middle of the continent/downtown historical area. We enjoyed our stay, with friendly and helpful staff members, lots of onsite restaurants and facilities for events, and tasteful rooms. Where Langtons fell short was the smell of urine and poop from the plumbing there (I can only assume). It doesn’t make you feel clean. We also had a pretty aggressive neighbor on a Monday night who was banging on doors and yelling. It was kinda scary. There was yelling back and moaning. Super weird and made us feel a bit unsafe. Otherwise, great hotel for location, room, service, and food.

Hotel was ok/average. If I should to go back to Kilkenny I probably would find a different hotel. They should change the duvet cover more often. Found several strands of hair they weren’t mine on the bed cover. Breakfast was awesome though and the chef cooked perfect poached eggs (which is not very common in most hotels).

Perfect location for walking the area and proximity to the castle. The hotel is beautiful and our room was huge. However, our room was also over the bar and it was quite loud. The dinner we had in the bar was good, but the included breakfast was fair at best.

Lovely hotel. Our room was large as was the bathroom. Bed was not the most comfortable. Fabulous breakfast including table service and buffet selection. The best hotel breakfast we've ever had. Location is great, right on the main road, close to attractions and restaurants. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Langtons was the perfect stay for us in Kilkenny. We booked 3 Queen rooms and all 3 were upgraded to Garden Suites. The rooms were spacious and clean with plenty of seating and a large bay window that faced greenery outside. The bathroom was huge and beautifully appointed. We were gratefully located on the ground floor, as there is no elevator. It was very private and quiet. The location in Kilkenny was perfect and we walked everywhere we needed to go. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

Lovely restaurant and terrific, hot breakfast. Hotel rooms are extremely dated, and furniture should be replaced. Our room was on the third floor, yet there is no bell staff to assist with heavy luggage. No hot water pressure on third floor so showering was impossible. This hotel should be removed from Expedia listing.

I had asked for a quiet room and I think we got the noisiest one! Had noise from the street and the bar below. I had yet asked if music was played on Sundays, but have been told only on Saturday nights… Room was old fashioned, joint of the shower used and dirty Do not match the criteria of a 4 star hotel at all

The staff and location and facilities at the hotel were excellent. We had a garden suite room which was very comfortable. The only minor issue was the cold water tap in the bathroom didn’t supply any cold water instead it was lukewarm.

The staff were very welcoming. Being an older Hotel without elevators, the staff helped us with our luggage. Great location with lots of nearby restaurants, pubs, and shops. They recommended a nearby pub which we thoroughly enjoyed.

This is a spectacular hotel - everywhere you look, it’s beautiful. The food and the room was lovely!! The staff were not friendly or happy, with the outstanding exception of the barman - he was fun and service focused.

The hotel was centrally located very close to the bridge. Walkable to everything you’d want to walk to including the castle. Very close to several area restaurants. I personally was not a fan of the decor, but it had a beautiful bathroom and many amenities. I would choose it again.

We had a fantastic time in Kilkenny and the hotel experience was fantastic 😊 The breakfast was delicious with a lovely dining vibe. It was great to be able to just walk downstairs for a pint and the downtown area was right outside the hotel door. Thank you!!
