This was our third stay at the Turkey Hill Inn. It’s old school charming, comfortable and quiet. Easy walk into town, where there are many restaurants and a lovely small town vibe. Also a close and easy train station if you want to use quaint Summit as a launchpad for a day trip to NYC. Not at all an accessible property, if that is something you need, but if not, it’s a lovely unconventional spot!

It is actually a big three floor house thus no elevator but only stairs, not that convenient if you carry luggage. A little old but nice mid-century style interior. No kitchen but have a refrigerator and a microwave. One thing is the noise from the upper stairs, very clear footsteps.

Customer service was excellent. The staff were nowhere to be seen (which I like!) but when a snow storm changed my original plans the hotel was understanding and helpful. The room was well organized and comfortable, parking lot was small but I never had an issue finding a spot during my stay. The rate was a good value, especially for the location - wanted to be in Summit & the town/train station was easily accessible via foot. Will definitely be coming back.

I had some ants in my room, but I learned to live with them in harmony. I didn't drive so I can't comment on the parking. Quaint and lovely, peaceful and quiet.

The property was ok for the price. Decor was nice, done with mostly antique looking furniture. The room was clean but quite run down. A window in the sitting room had a lot of rot from water damage, the carpet looked old and matted. There were patches on the ceiling from what I believed was a water leak and it was never repainted. The whole place just needed a total renovation.

Adorable Inn. Very cozy. My room was great. Very clean and comfortable. My only issue.. the blinds can not be shut allowing light into the room all night which does not allow me to sleep well. Also the hallway light is on all night and also creeps under the door into the room.

Hello, The shower was a little challenging since I am well over 6' tall. Only 1 shower gel chandelier in middle of the room I hit my head a couple times I prefer 1A ; next time hopefully that one is available. Thank you, Ed

Because the room was on the top floor, the roof made the shower too condense. As I am 6 feet tall, I was not able to move around in the shower. So I did not shower during my stay. The lower rooms are fine. But I will never want to room on the top floor in the future.

The room I had was a suite with a bedroom, an ensuite bathroom and a livingroom. It was very spacious and quiet. There were a few negatives, however. The faucet of the bathroom sink was awkward and difficult to maneuver between hot water and cold. Also when watching the television it kept buffering and freezing, so we could not enjoy watching. Other than those issues it was a very comfortable place to stay.

It is a beautiful building, tastefully appointed inside in the traditional country-inn style. The room was large and comfortable with a fridge, microwave and tableware. The location is within walking distance of the bustling center of Summit, also within easy drive to many natural attractions of north-central New Jersey. (NYC was not my goal, but there is a train station in the center of Summit.) Last but not least, both the management and the maintenance staff were very responsive and helpful in every situation. One little quibble: wifi level was not always very high.

Well maintained older mansion. Easy walk to the downtown, train and everywhere we wanted to go. The deluxe suite is enormous, with 2 fully separate rooms - wonderful for a family.

Nice, quiet inn with Victorian flare. The suite is spacious with clean linens. King bed was extremely comfortable, shower pressure excellent, plenty of towels and overall clean. The heat must be central as it was too hot but the windows can be opened to cool off the rooms. The only negative comment is the door lock as it is an outdated room key with a loose connection. I was a bit apprehensive leaving anything valuable in the room. I would stay again.

Delightful property in a heart in the heart of Summit. Spacious room with a comfortable bed. Clean and well equipped. Much better than staying in a chain hotel! Maria was in regular contact and the check in process was seamless. Would return in a heartbeat

You can’t beat the location or the price. They changed the front door access code and didn’t notify us, so we had to phone to be able to get in after a long day on the road. I had called them a week or two before arrival and gave them our email address to make sure we got up to date arrival instructions.A few decaf coffee pads would have been helpful. We never saw the owners to ask for these. Even so, the room was comfortable and very quiet.

We had a great time at Turkey Hill, a very charming, classic inn. The staff and ownership were super friendly and accommodating and the location is absolutely perfect if you're visiting Summit. Everything is walkable. The only thing to know going in is that it's an older building, so the bathroom and some not very important aesthetic things are of course showing their age. But if you've ever lived in an old house, it'll feel just like home! Definitely recommend it.

Lovely old historic Inn located in the heart of downtown Summit. It was very convenient (walkable) to many restaurants and shopping in this little town. The value for our 2 night stay was excellent. We went into NYC to the Met and were able to stay for 2 nights in Summit for less than one night would have been in NYC, and parking is free!! The commute was easy into the city. The suite was almost like an apartment size, minus a kitchen (but did have microwave and fridge). The bathroom could use a little upgrade. Overall would definitely stay again if we have plans in NYC.

A lovely stay. It is a safe and beautiful neighborhood. Walk less than 5 minutes to many dining and shopping options. The rooms were large and very clean. Quiet restful night sleep. I travel for work. Wifi great.

This an adorable bed and breakfast, without the breakfast! Its conveniently located near our children and grandchildren. We didnt notice until this morning that the farmers market was there! Quaint place.
