We wanted to use the pool but as it wasn’t in the resort, it was in the activity center to get there is necessary to use transportation, and their so I couldn’t use the pool or the hot tub because or the other options because I got on Sunday check-in was at 4 pm, I came back from skiing at 5 pm and they close the center at 6 pm, and Monday my check out was at 11 am I couldn’t use them as I was thinking to do it.

The room was comfortable and spacious. The food was expensive but well worth the cost. The indoor pool/steam room/sauna were at a different location about 2 miles away, but there was a shuttle to take you there. The spa services and staff were amazing. Two things to note....2 Vermont taxes for EACH night totaling almost $100 for 3 nights. $104 room service fee. Resort fee. Where does it stop? And the resort appears to be very busy on the weekends. If we were to go back, it would be during the week.

This is a beautiful inn in a picturesque town that's walkable. There are great free, self-parking options, but those quickly fill on the weekend, especially when there's an event at the hotel, like a wedding. The rooms are comfortable and spacious but with small confined bathrooms. I appreciate that they allow dogs, and it's a great touch that they provide a bed and bowls. The pet relief area is close to the "pet wing." I must add here, though, that if you have a dog that barks or makes excessive noise if they are left alone (i.e., left in the room while you're out), I do not recommend bringing them. We had to cancel some very expensive spa treatments due to our dog barking in the room while unattended, and we were unable to get a refund. They do have a few restaurants on-site, as well as room service. And while the food is pretty good, it's very overpriced. They are definitely charging for the convenience and location. Other restaurants in town are limited, overpriced, and have challenging hours. The spa at the facility is beautiful and relaxing, but it's also way overpriced. They don't have size-inclusive robes for spa or hotel guests. They are also not flexible for hotel guests that have to cancel last minute due to unpreventable circumstances (see the note above about having to pay full price for a missed service due to our dog barking in our room). I would not recommend their spa. Overall, I think they are way overpriced for the experience and quality.

Amazing location and beautiful place! The grounds were gorgeous and centrally located to town and restaurants. Our room was cozy and beautiful. Loved the small perks of morning coffee in the lobby and coffee and cookies in the afternoon. Lots of areas to relax, play chess or read. Loved the game room also. Red Rooster was amazing for dinner as well. Highly recommend staying here, can't wait to visit again.

Very pretty Inn, and the people are welcoming. Rooms are a good size, comfortable areas to sit and read, and the bed was great. The Athletic Club is beautiful and a great bonus, especially in poor weather. Game Room is one of the best and most comfortable I have ever been to. Another boon in bad weather. Food at the Red Rooster, the restaurant in the Inn, was ok, but lacked variety in the offerings on the menu. Very few appetizers and light fare offered, although what I did select was very good. Nice bar to sit and relax after a day of sightseeing. Don’t miss the Billings Farm while there. Fascinating! And it’s right in Woodstock!

From Arrival at Car valet to check in to departure, it was not a good experience. The room smelled horrific like mold and mildew. The restaurant host had a terrible attitude and arrogant demeanour. We wanted to have dinner and breakfast on the property but the overall experience forced us not to want to wait and sought better dining off property. Such a shame. It otherwise could have been a great experience.

The Inn is very cozy and comfortable. There are lots of areas to relax, read or have a cocktail. The restaurants are very good. Our room was spacious and clean. We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely room looking out over the green. We’re able to check in early which was much appreciated. Room was bright and clean and in good order. Had a spa treatment which was excellent. Only disappointment was a birthday dinner in Red Rooster. Slow service, missed items, cold food which needed to be returned. Expected better at this price point for dinner.

I love the uniqueness of this property. Was so amazing to see how kind and friendly the staffs were, and also the beauty of the hotel. The housekeeping's of the hotel in general was perfect, clean, and comfortable to stay. We love the design and the decor of everything that we saw. I would definitely recommend and go back there to stay again. It was a pleasant experience. Thank you!

Think of it as luxe, not luxury. The room was pleasant but tired and worn. The bedside tables have cracked and peeling paint and worn laminate. You have to get out of bed to turn off the bedside lamps. But the worst was the Red Rooster restaurant. The manager told the waiter off in front of us for trying to seat us at the wrong booth.The fabric in the booths looked like something from a Victorian brothel and was so busy I could hardly look at my wife who wore a patterned top that clashed against the booth fabric. They only have 6 entrees on the menu but wife ordered prime rib. When it was served it was 2 strip steaks stacked on each other! Wife didn’t want to make a fuss so we carried on. We had been advised to make a reservation for 8.15 but there were only 6 tables occupied. The rest were being stripped and laid for breakfast which was a bit annoying as they bustled around us. Fine dining it was not. I’ve heard from locals they’re going through a lot of changes. Staff were great and helpful and my wife gave the spa 5 stars. But until those changes are made, we won’t be back.

The room was large, well decorated and extremely comfortable. Great location to walk downtown even with single digit temperatures. The shops were expensive but worth browsing & buying.

It's a lovely property and the staff are very nice. They seemed a but overwhelmed (or short staffed). Our room wasn't serviced because they didn't arrive until very late in the day each day. By that time, we were in the room preparing for the evening. We just traded out our towels for fresh ones and got the trash emptied. That is all we really needed but it was a bit surprising in this hotel.

We were given a smaller room in a less desirable area than I had booked and paid in advance on Expedia. Clearly Expedia and the hotel had failed to handle my reservation correctly but they didn’t care. That was what they knew period. We also had a problem with our table in an empty gourmet restaurant being seated next to the noisy servers station when there were endless quieter tables available. Finally on departure they insisted on charging me for the $40 resort fee which I had already paid to Expedia. They didn t care and did not offer to shop it despite the room imbroglio we already had. Staff is in desperate need of hospitality training

Red Rooster dining for breakfast was NOT good. Always felt rushed, the "hot" food was Buffet style and not replenished reguarly - plus not much choice and bland to say the least. Cost $30 per person or $22 if you chose "continental" again depleted and very poor selection. Would advise going elsewhere for breakfast!

Dining options were less than desirable throughout the entire town. We ate at Red Rooster (located within the hotel property) and paid $40 for 3 scallops and 6 pieces of asparagus-this was under the “large plate” entree options. We would never return to Woodstock
