This place is a gem. The staff at check in and out was super friendly. The moment I walked in it felt very comfortable and modern. From the smart TV to the wifi hub in room; the remote controlled mini split A/C system to the snack basket; the comfortable bed to the wide array of toiletries available. The linens are quite nice as well. The little book that gives you a taste of the inn’s history, restaurants and things to do nearby is great. There is a fire pit on site and wood available at the restaurant/check-in. Breakfast was a delight. Buffet style eggs, biscuits, sausage, gravy, crispy bacon, grits, fresh fruit and an array of bread were available. There was a wide selection of cereal and the OJ tasted fresh squeezed. Though it probably wasn’t—it’s an excellent touch. The coffee mugs are reminiscent of roadside diners and it was a great way to round out the stay. Travelers should eat outside on the deck overlooking the lush greenery surrounding the inn. I have only one con. It’s a simple one but one that’s imperative to improve. The room I stayed in had three windows which was amazing for light—but not a single one was locked. Each one slid open easily since they’re beautiful, new, vinyl double hung windows. Imagine my horror as a solo traveler at discovering each window was able to be opened silently and without any effort! Such a simple thing for the owners/staff to check could have compromised my safety in the worst way had I not checked.

We had a great getaway. The rooms had been completely renovated. On sight Restaurant was excellent. 3 of 4 meals we had there. Only open for dinner except for weekends. We got a wonderful recommendation for breakfast in Floyd only 6 miles away. We spent part of our 2 days there. Also went to Meodows Of Dan while they’re 15 minutes away. We love it there. Food at the restaurant was excellent and service was also. Provided us with extra bottled water and ice. Will for sure be back. Right off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Tuggles Gap. 10 minutes from the iconic Mabry Mill.

Location cannot be beat. Right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Historic motel, but totally modernized - we're talking smart tvs, usb wall outlets, totally renovated rooms. It was absolutely ideal. Its definitely the perfect mix of old school historic and modern. Nick was so accomodating to us as well! We came in the off season and we had a wonderful experience even though the entire town was shut down. We appreciate the hospitality, and will absolutely be back in the summer! This is the place to stay in Floyd, or for Fairy Stone, it was an easy 30 minute drive to the park.

The room was nice and clean. Check in was awesome. The food was awesome for dinner and breakfast. The only bad thing nothing to do with the Inn was the wind. it was so strong and powerful. I felt like I would blow away. It was good for a night stay.I think it does need a microwave.

This place is fantastic. Beautiful rooms with hardwood floors and cedar ceilings. Luxury linens and comfy beds and Super clean. Lovely breakfast sandwiches, excellent coffee and wonderful fresh snacks and prepared items. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful property with a fire pit and great star watching. Close to historic town of Floyd and just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Highly recommend and most definitely be returning.

My family enjoyed staying at the property. Right away, we were impressed by the cleanliness and newness of the room. We were provided with our check in information by text, so we didn’t have to head to the office upon arrival or check out. There was a delicious breakfast provided and a cute little store. I would recommend staying here if you’re in the area for a hike or to visit the town of Floyd.

This place is amazing! Remodeled rooms with hardwood floors and knotty pine doors and ceiling. SO CLEAN. It was very easy to check in and out. Soon after we entered our room, the inn manager texted me to make sure we were happy with our room. The beds were comfortable and lots of storage space for all the prizes we bought while on vacation. We were very happy with our stay and look forward to visiting again.

Rooms had all been renovated, so that was nice. However, the room and bedding felt damp like there was a humidifier running constantly. Even the toilet paper felt damp during the middle of the night. The rest of the room and amenities were good.

The room was nice and comfortable slept well. Renovations were done well Staff was welcoming and offered information about places to eat fuel for our vehicle was not an available in the morning. There were a few ants and silverfish in the sink and in some of our luggage. Water pressure in the shower was very low as someone else use the sink or the shower in another room so be careful.

The room was colder than I thought comfortable. The thermostat was unresponsive. I informed the staff. No response. I returned from Floyd around 10 pm Sat. night. No sound on the tv. Picture but no sound. That continued til I checked out around 9 am Sun. I did not feel they had staff that could correct these problems.

Great place to stay for a night. Attention to detail was impeccable. Absolutely recommend! Really appreciated the fresh, hot and tasty breakfast and eggs hospitably cooked to order. Proprietary coffee blend was delicious. Room was a touch small would be cramped with 4, but for 2 it did just fine. Fresh pine panelling, updated shower and plush towels added a touch of unexpected luxury.

The lady at check-in seemed overwhelmed, and gave us the keys to wrong unit. This place is amazing! Remodeled rooms with hardwood floors and knotty pine doors and ceiling. SO CLEAN. It was very easy to check in and out. Soon after we entered our room, the inn manager texted me to make sure we were happy with our room. The beds were comfortable and lots of storage space for all the prizes we bought while on vacation. We were very happy with our stay and look forward to visiting again.

Newly renovated rooms were perfect! Very clean and comfortable. I called to see if I could get in an hour early due to a scheduling conflict. The owner allowed me to get in early and showed me how to order breakfast. Such a homey environment! I was alone and felt safe in a new area, and would bring my family back for the great location!

We absolutely love Tuggles Gap Inn! This our second year staying at this cozy motel. The owner, Nick, is friendly and accommodating. The room was spotless and had everything we needed. Its proximity to wineries, the very cool town of Floyd, and the Blue Ridge Parkway makes it even better! We highly recommend Tuggles Gap!!

My family enjoyed staying at the property. Right away, we were impressed by the cleanliness and newness of the room. We were provided with our check in information by text, so we didn’t have to head to the office upon arrival or check out. There was a delicious breakfast provided and a cute little store. I would recommend staying here if you’re in the area for a hike or to visit the town of Floyd.

We were traveling on the Blue Ridge Parkway and this lodging was right beside the Parkway and amazingly clean and quiet. There was food options approx 10 min away. Owner was nice and accommodating. Would certainly stay here again if in the area. Highly recommend.

Tuggle"s room was very clean and the beds are comfy. It is a ways from the town and limitied on dining. Had to drive back to town for dinner which was fine with us since we were going to the country store for the bluegrass music concert in Floyd.

Nice right off BlueRidge Parkway. Close to Floyd . Got dinner at food lion since not many restaurants plus traveling with fur baby and Floyd not dog friendly. Hotels there not pet friendly.So found this quient little place. Very quiet.

Location cannot be beat. Right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Historic motel, but totally modernized - we're talking smart tvs, usb wall outlets, totally renovated rooms. It was absolutely ideal. Its definitely the perfect mix of old school historic and modern. Nick was so accomodating to us as well! We came in the off season and we had a wonderful experience even though the entire town was shut down. We appreciate the hospitality, and will absolutely be back in the summer! This is the place to stay in Floyd, or for Fairy Stone, it was an easy 30 minute drive to the park.

Wonderful Inn right alongside the stunning Blue Ridge Parkway. The included breakfast was homemade scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and homefries. No frozen little yellow disks!! My grandmother used to call this "stick to the ribs" food!

We had a great getaway. The rooms had been completely renovated. On sight Restaurant was excellent. 3 of 4 meals we had there. Only open for dinner except for weekends. We got a wonderful recommendation for breakfast in Floyd only 6 miles away. We spent part of our 2 days there. Also went to Meodows Of Dan while they’re 15 minutes away. We love it there. Food at the restaurant was excellent and service was also. Provided us with extra bottled water and ice. Will for sure be back. Right off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Tuggles Gap. 10 minutes from the iconic Mabry Mill.

What a gem, right off of the blue ridge parkway ♥︎ Clean and recently renovated rooms, a quaint and rural location, friendly management, and a wholesome breakfast of eggs, potatoes, sausage, coffee, and juice. This place is fantastic. Beautiful rooms with hardwood floors and cedar ceilings. Luxury linens and comfy beds and Super clean. Lovely breakfast sandwiches, excellent coffee and wonderful fresh snacks and prepared items. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful property with a fire pit and great star watching. Close to historic town of Floyd and just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Highly recommend and most definitely be returning.

This place is actually quite the gem. The only knock I have is that you cannot check in until 4:00 pm but the staff departs about 3:00. So you do a self-check in. That is absolutely fine except we don’t know that until we arrive at 4:30 pm. You have to travel six miles to Floyd to find dinner as the Tuggle’s Gap diner closes after lunch. Also their sign says the store is open 24/7 which is not true. It closes at same as the cafe. Very nice rooms and they are clean! Great location very close to an entrance of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Give them a look!

We had an advanced reservation and when we arrived there was no one there, all the doors were locked and empty parking. There were no other rooms available in the area. Hotels.com had it at the top of their list and highly recommended. Very unhappy!!

If you just need a place to sleep and shower, the room is nice and clean with great hot/cold shower. The mini fridge and tv are working properly. The great thing we loved is the accessibility to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
