The facility is too old. The common area including the breakfast area, the reception, the walkways, the elevator are all not ventilated or air conditioned. The rooms are too tight and very small. It is only one access key to the room that has three people making very inconvenient to go outside and return independently. The people are nice but working within very limited resources making it difficult to help their guests professionally and in an acceptable way. I regret staying at this hotel. The only positive thing about a it’s location.

Likes: Beautiful large room, large balcony with wicker table and chairs set, very clean, couldn't have asked for a betted location, great shopping (even with the Grand Bazaar closed for Eid) Dislikes: Bathroom very small and cramped, dated and in need of some TLC, wasn't really a lobby as such, due to its location felt more like walking into a shop

We stayed in room 507.. it has a balcony where you can look to Hagia Sophia. Very quiet, comfortable bed. Breakfast room very cosy, good choice of food, excellent staff. 10 minutes walk to the main attractions. Dimitri is a great manager, helpful with local information and tours without being pushy! Also Richard, the night manager, was very welcoming.

This hotel is a great location for seeing all the sights within walking distance. And trams buses are also local and easy to use. Nice terrace for breakfast. The hotel is budget hotel, so do not expect luxury. However the rooms are clean. The staff were very helpful and cheery.

Notre séjour a été très agréable. L'hôtel est vraiment situé en plein centre des principales attractions historiques d'Istanbul. Nous avons eu la chambre exactement comme nous l'avions réservé - pour 3 personnes avec 3 lits simples. L'hôtel est bien entretenu, tout est propre. Le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse sur le toit est une expérience merveilleuse. En particulier, je tiens à remercier le personnel - très sympathique, serviable et précis - les transferts ont été parfaitement organisés, ainsi que l'excursion en bateau le long du Bosphore. L'hôtel a totalement répondu à nos besoins. Bravo et merci !

The manager and staff are very friendly, accommodating, and overall very helpful in explaining things about the city and what to watch out for. The breakfast is a little repetitive but they have a decent amount of options to choose from. The coffee is pretty good and the view is nice from the dining roof deck. The rooms themselves are relatively clean with some quirks like squeaky doors or some minor smell from the plumbing fixtures, but the air conditioning is good. The bathrooms are a little small, but that's the norm with boutique hotels. The beds were comfortable, and I had no problems getting a good night of uninterrupted sleep. The location is in a good spot for access to historical sites, the grand bazaar, and a bunch of restaurants. Walking the city at night is a safe and totally different experience than in the day, especially in this area. Overall I would recommend this hotel and staff for any first timers to istanbul.

Istanbul is compact near the main sites. Even walking to the ferries is only 1 mile. The hotel is easy to find. It's clean and while not brand new, very well run. The staff is superb. Breakfast is great. Lots of choices.

It’s value for money but don’t expect much. Room was sparse, bare bones, some stains in the toilet. Little sound proofing. But the location is great, right in the heart of beautiful places to visit and breakfast is available. About 1.5-2h from Istanbul Airport by public transport, or 50€ for the hotel’s airport transfer.

Da eerste kamer was er geen tafeltje en stoelen dus we zaten steeds op bed Heb de receptie aangesproken dan kregen wij een andere kamer De kamer werd niet altijd gekuist en de handdoeken pas na dat we het vroegen Ik was al in Istanbul geweest en in die hotel was het ontbijt veel rijker we kregen toen jougertjes droge fruit enzovoort De voorlaatste dag gaf de riool van de douche kamer op en liep het water naar buiten We hebben dat niet meer gemeld we wilden niet als zeurpieten voorkomen

The hotel room was very rundown and in a dire need to be fixed up. The glass wall in the room was booked. There was no clothes hanger so no place for jackets or overcoats. There was no table in the room to put down a suitcase, new towels or anything else - the only place was 2 small bedroom tables. There was no trash can and i felt bad just to leave empty water bottles on the floor but no where else to put them.? The sink in the bathroom was broken. The paint on the bathroom cabinet was piling off and there was no toilet paper holder made it very unsanitary. Worse of all there was fungus and water damage all over the shower cabinet and a very uncomfortable smell from that. The shower head was also very short so I being 188cm did not fit underneath it. The first thing the hotel host asks me when I check in was if I wanted to pay to go on trips or if I had plans for new years because I could pay him to go for a new year party. The next morning at breakfast an other male hotel host was fight with I assuming a cleaning lady in the breakfast area in English about him having sex with another girl the night before, her being “a very jealous woman” and how he did not care at all! so maybe not so much a family friendly hotel!

My wife and I had a wonderful week at the Albatros Hagia Sophia. Our room with balcony was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, including refrigerator. The buffet breakfast was varied, and the restaurant service was excellent. The hotel’s staff were terrific—friendly, helpful, and always responsive. The location in Sultanahmet could not have been better—only a few minutes walk from the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace, Gulhane Park, the Bosphorous, annd other attractions. There are numerous and varied restaurants, cafes, markets, and shops in the neighborhood. All in all, it was the perfect place to anchor ourselves in incredible Istanbul.

From my check-in to check-out everything was great. I’ve arrived very early at the hotel, Mr Kamuran was at the reception (hotel manager) he welcomed me with a great smile, his very friendly and professional. Mr Kamuran has offered me to upgraded my room for free of charge 🙏. Breakfast at hotel is a traditional Turkish breakfast, you can’t go wrong with Turkish breakfast anyway. My room was quite big with balcony, really nice and clean. During my stay every single hotel staff was asking me if there was anything more they could do. Hotel is at a very central location, it’s walking distance to all amenities, Hagia Sophia mosque, blue mosque and topkapi place is 5 mins walking distance, public transport (tram) is 5 mins walking distance, grand bazaar is walking distance too. Most of hotel staff speaks English, some speak Russian and Arabic as well, it’s easy to communicate. I like to thank all hotel staff for their great hospitality and professional service. Very basic hotel with clean bedrooms & bathrooms. We booked a family suite which consisted of 2 bedrooms next door to eachother, with a sliding door to separate the 2 rooms from the rest of the hotel rooms, which was convenient as we could leave the doors open while still in the hotel to move around the rooms easily. The only negative I had was the bathroom walls were made of obscured glass and the door didnt have a look, so there was no privacy in the WC/Shower. The breakfast was continental breakfast, so wasnt fancy but they had a nice variety of fresh foods. We all madesure to eat a full breakfast and were satisfied with what we had. Absolutely amazing area, as walking distance to all the main attractions, tram, train station, bus station. Loved it. Istanbul is my favourite city in the world and with this hotel I fell in love with it even more. Definitely will return soon

My wife and I had a wonderful week at the Albatros Hagia Sophia. Our room with balcony was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, including refrigerator. The buffet breakfast was varied, and the restaurant service was excellent. The hotel’s staff were terrific—friendly, helpful, and always responsive. The location in Sultanahmet could not have been better—only a few minutes walk from the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace, Gulhane Park, the Bosphorous, annd other attractions. There are numerous and varied restaurants, cafes, markets, and shops in the neighborhood. All in all, it was the perfect place to anchor ourselves in incredible Istanbul.

We stayed in room 507.. it has a balcony where you can look to Hagia Sophia. Very quiet, comfortable bed. Breakfast room very cosy, good choice of food, excellent staff. 10 minutes walk to the main attractions. Dimitri is a great manager, helpful with local information and tours without being pushy! Also Richard, the night manager, was very welcoming.

Property online information is not accurate at all. Very small rooms, bathroom very uncomfortable, breakfast is not good at all, have to check out after first night and look for other places in the area. Never had any refund, neither being contacted by property management. Paid for 5 nights and used just one…Don’t recommend any person to pick it up this hotel.

The manager and staff are very friendly, accommodating, and overall very helpful in explaining things about the city and what to watch out for. The breakfast is a little repetitive but they have a decent amount of options to choose from. The coffee is pretty good and the view is nice from the dining roof deck. The rooms themselves are relatively clean with some quirks like squeaky doors or some minor smell from the plumbing fixtures, but the air conditioning is good. The bathrooms are a little small, but that's the norm with boutique hotels. The beds were comfortable, and I had no problems getting a good night of uninterrupted sleep. The location is in a good spot for access to historical sites, the grand bazaar, and a bunch of restaurants. It was a good place to stay. The staff, Demirie, Irada and all others were wonderful, friendly, helped us and guided us in many aspects. They did everything they could. While i have read few reviews from past guests, I feel most those reviews that complained seemed not valid as the guests should understand that the owners, the staff try to do best to accomodate different types of people. It is difficult to meet everyone's needs but I saw everything good.

Nice quiet room. Very helpful staff. Very good buffet breakfast and Ira was a really good host in the breakfast room each morning. We were there for six nights and each morning we were greeted with a big smile from Ira and the staff at breakfast. Does this girl ever have a day off? She was still there each evening!! Long hours!! Excellent stay with location very good for sight seeing and shopping and eating.

From my check-in to check-out everything was great. I’ve arrived very early at the hotel, Mr Kamuran was at the reception (hotel manager) he welcomed me with a great smile, his very friendly and professional. Mr Kamuran has offered me to upgraded my room for free of charge 🙏. Breakfast at hotel is a traditional Turkish breakfast, you can’t go wrong with Turkish breakfast anyway. My room was quite big with balcony, really nice and clean. During my stay every single hotel staff was asking me if there was anything more they could do. Hotel is at a very central location, it’s walking distance to all amenities, Hagia Sophia mosque, blue mosque and topkapi place is 5 mins walking distance, public transport (tram) is 5 mins walking distance, grand bazaar is walking distance too. Most of hotel staff speaks English, some speak Russian and Arabic as well, it’s easy to communicate. I like to thank all hotel staff for their great hospitality and professional service. The room on the top floor with a view on Hagia Sophia was very comfortable. Breakfast was great too. But what made our stay in Istanbul truly memorable and hassle-free was our host Dmitry. Very basic hotel with clean bedrooms & bathrooms. We booked a family suite which consisted of 2 bedrooms next door to eachother, with a sliding door to separate the 2 rooms from the rest of the hotel rooms, which was convenient as we could leave the doors open while still in the hotel to move around the rooms easily. The only negative I had was the bathroom walls were made of obscured glass and the door didnt have a look, so there was no privacy in the WC/Shower. The breakfast was continental breakfast, so wasnt fancy but they had a nice variety of fresh foods. We all madesure to eat a full breakfast and were satisfied with what we had. Absolutely amazing area, as walking distance to all the main attractions, tram, train station, bus station. Loved it. Istanbul is my favourite city in the world and with this hotel I fell in love with it even more. Definitely will return soon

Notre séjour a été très agréable. L'hôtel est vraiment situé en plein centre des principales attractions historiques d'Istanbul. Nous avons eu la chambre exactement comme nous l'avions réservé - pour 3 personnes avec 3 lits simples. L'hôtel est bien entretenu, tout est propre. Le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse sur le toit est une expérience merveilleuse. En particulier, je tiens à remercier le personnel - très sympathique, serviable et précis - les transferts ont été parfaitement organisés, ainsi que l'excursion en bateau le long du Bosphore. L'hôtel a totalement répondu à nos besoins. Bravo et merci !

The location is in a good spot for access to historical sites, the grand bazaar, and a bunch of restaurants. Walking the city at night is a safe and totally different experience than in the day, especially in this area. Overall I would recommend this hotel and staff for any first timers to istanbul.

Very convenient location, good breakfast. Staff helped arrange airport shuttles. Rooms were clean, but very small. No where to even put two open suitcases. Not the hotel's fault but there was loud, late night construction in the adjacent building.

It is not a luxury hotel but it’s super clean, nice beds, sheets and pillows. Bathroom is good. Attention was very good, the staff super friendly. The location is the best! You have everything nearby. The price unbeatable!
