Large, clean room with coffee machine, iron and board and hairdryer. Great shower. The staff very helpful and friendly. Nice bar area too and car parking a bonus. Will be back.

There is a bar on the property that was loud on the last night of my stay. There is only a small parking lot in the back . That allows for about eleven vehicles And it is gravel so hard to wheel your luggage. Also there is no elevator and narrow stairs, made it hard to get my luggage up to the room.

Located on a busy street, so noisy. There is no elevator, even though the hotel is of modern construction! Have to haul your bags up to the 2nd or 3rd floor. so NOT advisable for older folks. Front desk is only manned till 9PM. After that, there is no one to help you with any problem you may have - just numbers to call. Too minimalist for the price and for me to recommend to anyone.

Beautiful property with nice, helpful staff. Easy walking distance to docks and marina, in addition to dining options. Only knock is that parking behind building is a bit tight and sparse.

The property was walkable to all of the sites in Oban including the ferry terminal. It offered free parking. Breakfast was not included with the room, but there were plenty of restaurants close by.

Great location for the Town & restaurants. It was also great that they had available parking in the back of the Hotel. Nice Employees upon check in. Clean comfortable rooms and a great common area downstairs.

The Scot been recently refurbished and the amenities are great. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. Located steps from all the spots in Oban. The bar is welcoming, and the selection of Scotch is very nice.

We had a studio which was excellent. Modern and well equipped. Especially liked the washing machine/dryer. We were able to park our car right beside the unit so no stairs etc

The room is very, very small. Just enough room to walk around the bed. The bathroom is small. The entrance to, and the size of the shower...very small. The room was neat, clean and updated, just tiny.

My wife and I were incredibly surprised and happy with our accommodations at the Scot. It’s so incredibly conveniently located, completely walkable to shops and restaurants. The accommodation was huge and was complete with every modern convenience needed for a great stay, including a washer/dryer! Very pleased with every aspect of the stay.

Hotel was very clean and tidy and staff were friendly. Rooms were very comfortable. Apart from the bed / mattress. Never slept so bad in all my day, the mattress was so bad it giave me a sore back and sore hip.. so uncomfortable, and ruined the whole experience

Nice attempt to revive old rooms, great bathroom upgrades and clean and comfortable overall. The public areas and walls in the rooms are desperate for a coat of paint. The staff were transactional on check in and hard to find on check out, just left the keys after waiting 20 mins. Good location, easy parking and would stay again.

My room provided was on the top floor, but there is no elevator. The woman who checked me in carried my big heavy suitcase all the way up the stairs. I'm so grateful for her help. I have some mobility issues with stairs. Everything else is super comfortable. Excellent water pressure, soft fluffy towels, big wonderful bed and bedding.

The receptionist Laura was very very helpful in arranging tickets for the ferry to Iona. She printed the tickets and then felt she had made a mistake and printed another set and put them in our room while we were out. Then she came to the room to confirm everything when her shift ended. Super service!

There are rather odd rules at this hotel. You need to book a specific slot for breakfast, even though it was buffet style. No staff were around to point out that it was self-service, we had to figure it out ourselves. The rather soulless bar (no draught beer) closed early and we were asked to vacate the lounge seating area at 11pm - even though we were not expecting any 'service' - we were just chatting with friends over a nightcap. There is no lift, and no help is given with luggage - I had to help an older fella with his bags. So, all in all, a rather soulless hotel, devoid of any real service. I wouldn't go back

Great location for touring Oban. Room was lovely, nice updated bathroom with great hot water. Nice breakfast offering. I'm a light sleeper so being on the front street I heard the patrons from the pub across the way the 2 nights we were there (husband slept thru). The back rooms might be a better option if your like me.

Our rooms on the first floor were very noisy with sounds from the streets and the sea birds. It was a hot week in Scotland and the rooms didn’t cool down at night. Overall it was a fine room with a nice location.

Handy central location for shops and exploring the town of Oban. Safe parking in the rear of the building - but spaces might be limited - best to park early. Friendly staff. Breakfast in roomy bar - we didn't use this because there are so many other options on the doorstep.

The room and property were clean and modern, and staff were nice. Location is very central, right in the heart of Oban, but rooms are well insulated from any noise. I'm only taking off a point because the breakfast buffet was not very good. Skip it and walk to one of the cafes around.
