We stayed here for our first time in Oahu and we loved it! The staff and security were so nice and helpful with any questions that we had. The location was perfect due to it being so close to shops and restaurants. I definitely recommend staying here if you plan on traveling to Oahu. The room was perfect for our family of three. We were supplied with the necessary kitchen appliances and they have a pool, gym, and laundromat all within the building. They even supply you with coins for your laundry so you don’t have to make change at local stores. Our family would be definitely staying here again! Thank you so much!

like the free parking, food options every where, many shopping center, nice mountain view and walking distance to the Waikiki beach. However, the condominium needs new gym equipment, they are "very old" and outdated.

If you have to stay in Waikiki, then this condo is a nice, budget friendly option with free parking! The unit itself was great! Newly remodeled with everything we needed to be comfortable. The building is older and several repairs were being done during our stay which made our stay less than ideal. The pool was closed most of the day due to exterior building painting, our unit had to be inspected for an hour one day with no definite time window given which rendered the unit useless for the whole day, the parking elevator had a blanket covering the inside due to repair which was very unsightly and the recreation deck really wasn’t useable. The communication about how to check in wasn’t good. We booked through Expedia and when we got to the lobby the security guards at the front desk were very rude when I asked how to check in. There was no signage outside of the check in office to let us know that was where we needed to go and when we did check in the clerk didn’t offer towels or give information on exactly which elevators to use to get to our rooms. The property is center ally located and it’s a 10 minute walk to Waikiki beach- which is overrun with tourists. All in all the property was good for our needs but there is definitely room for improvement.

Most of remodeling outside is near complete. Still needs to finish tennis courts. But pool. Gym and billiard room is complete. The pool needs more lounge chairs. I was only able to get one on the 4th day. Location is great. Easy to get around. When coming to Waikiki which is regular for us we always stay here. Parking included and no resort fees.

I've stayed at Royal Kuhio multiple times and I already have another reservation. Building is safe, well maintained and clean. Centrally located, right in the heart of Waikiki. A block away from the International Market Place. Front desk staff in friendly and professional. Onsite gym and pool are nice to have. Coin-operated laundry facility is on the 7th floor. Free parking is a huge bonus!

There is only one very small elevator for the whole parking structure. It broke when we were there. The elevator in the lobby was broken too. Repairs were made but it was an inconvenience when we came with all our belongings and had to walk in stairwell with them. The staff at the security never acknowledged us and some of the staff at check in were not the friendliest people.

The location is perfect, everything is within walking distance. And less than 20 mins drive from the airport. Property is safe. Free parking. No resort fees. I liked our apartment. Plenty of room. A king sized bed would fit, but the queen was comfortable. Fitted sheet had large bloodstaines on it, not just one. No housekeeping during our stay, which I'm fine with. Place was clean, plenty of towels for our 4 nights stay. We didn't cook but the kitchen had all that one would need. A/C units are noisy. We were on the 19th floor but could still hear all the traffic and people and the buzzing from all the other A/C units from all around. I noticed that slated windows are a thing in HI, which means no noise barrier. Our view from the balcony was nice. Partial view of the ocean and the mountains. Waikiki beach just two blocks away. This isn't a hotel, so no front desk. Agency is tucked away behind the security desk. They did call before our arrival to check what time we expected to get in, and allowed us to park our rental car early, while waiting on our room. We would stay here again!

I loved the location of the property the most. It is close to everything-restaurants, shopping, entertainment, etc. My room was clean and very spacious. The only concern that I had was the linen on the bed (sheets). I could tell that they had been washed; however, they had stains on them. No problem changing them out I would definitely stay there again when visiting Honolulu

there is contruction right at my room. too anoying until 5pm everyday. the elevator smell bad. they dont clean the room unless you stay more than 9 days. we stay in dirty bathroom and no one clean. smell bad never come back

I like the fact that in the condo there is everything that you needed minus shampoo and conditioner but I brought my own anyways so it was no big deal the place on the scale of 1 to 10 on cleanliness was about an eight there's some pretty good stains on the carpet and on the side of the refrigerator there is kicked on food the staff is very helpful and very polite the pool very clean I just wish it was open later the location was great it was easy to get in and out of and not too far to walk to the beach the beach was actually only like two blocks away I would definitely recommend staying there and the best part about it is you don't get bugged by maids or anybody else☺️

The property was old and dated, the Bedroom TV didnt work, despite advising reception that it wasnt working, the appliances had no instruction for use. We had to load and wash our cups etc. And empty our own rubbish. Paid top dollar for a mediocre experience, wouldnt recommend.

The hotel and room are very dated. We found mold in the shower and were disappointed with the state of the sofa bed which was very uncomfortable. The room also had some dead bugs and an unfortunate smell.

Great place! Center of shopping, food, and beach. Kitchenette helped on food cost, balcony was a nice touch. Free parking was awesome too since we rented a car to see the whole island. Property felt safe, but the streets were extremely noisy and walls were paper thin so you could hear everything outside. Was hard to get a good nights sleep but that isn’t the hotels fault. Bed was too hard to our liking but ok. Condo smelled clean and was very clean. Staff was always pleasant. Would definitely stay there again.

The room was a nice layout and very clean. A larger bed in the one bedroom would be nice. A/C worked well especially in the bedroom. Building is overall clean and well maintained but could use updating. Location is excellent and price per night is much better than a hotel. It’s also nice to have a kitchen!

We stayed at the Royal Kuhio for 6 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is amazing! In the heart of Waikiki -- walking distance to the beach and all major eating joints and major attractions. We had a corner unit and the view from the balcony was amazing. We could see diamond head. I am sure the view gets even better as you get to the higher floors. We would definitely love to come again!

9 night stay. Corner room on 11th floor. Very spacious with plenty of closet space. Basic amenities provided. Shampoo and conditioner not supplied. Coffee provided but not tea. General condition good but very dated. Handy location for pink trolley line. Also has out front area for uber etc. Constant traffic noise especially at night made sleeping difficult.

We’ve had a good time, the unit was very nice and clean and the kitchen had all the appliances and dishes we needed. The AC unit was noisy but tolerable. Location is perfect, close to the beach , shopping and restaurants. Oh, did I mention the Parking . It was a game changer. I would recommend to change the curtains in the living room , those had a few stains. All in all , it is a Good place to stay.

We stayed in a one bedroom unit. It was very clean and updated. Our room was on the 19th floor facing Kuhio Street which was noisy at night from local businesses. Otherwise it was a great visit. we were there 3-11-23 thru 3-18-23. It was great to have the pool (finally) and also the gas grills to have a picnic!!!! I will stay there in the future.

The hotel was older but nice, we were under the impression that we were getting a room that slept 4, as in two beds and we did but it was a pullout couch with a paper thin mattress that I wouldn’t even let my dog sleep on let alone my daughter and mother in law. Outside of that the place was clean and average.

Royal Kuhio is centrally located for all your shopping needs and a great selection of restaurants. It's a short walk to Waikiki beach. The condo kitchen is well equipped if you prefer to cook your own meals. The balcony is small but nice to be able to sit outside and take in the sounds of the city below. There's an outdoor pool and deck area with BBQs, on the 7th floor. The unit could use with some furniture updating and bigger TV in the living room, the internet connection was weak and intermittent. Overall I would recommend this property as a great place to stay!

We loved the room and location to the beach and shopping. Room was nice with a kitchen and bedroom. What we didnt like was the terrible check in time. We were early and had to wait for hours to finally check in at 4. Almost 5 hours waiting. The stay was nice to come and go from room just was a bad start at check in.

Read the literature provided ahead of time. Our check in process was somewhat bumpy. When we arrived at the hotel at 8 pm, the receptionist was off duty. There was no instruction for us. There was no Wi-Fi. The security guy was very rude and did not want to help. We found cockroaches in the kitchen. The next morning, there was no water until we checked out. We could not even use the washroom. It was the worst experience ever. Definitely not recommended.

If you have to stay in Waikiki, then this condo is a nice, budget friendly option with free parking! The unit itself was great! Newly remodeled with everything we needed to be comfortable. The building is older and several repairs were being done during our stay which made our stay less than ideal. The pool was closed most of the day due to exterior building painting, our unit had to be inspected for an hour one day with no definite time window given which rendered the unit useless for the whole day, the parking elevator had a blanket covering the inside due to repair which was very unsightly and the recreation deck really wasn’t useable. The communication about how to check in wasn’t good. We booked through Expedia and when we got to the lobby the security guards at the front desk were very rude when I asked how to check in. There was no signage outside of the check in office to let us know that was where we needed to go and when we did check in the clerk didn’t offer towels or give information on exactly which elevators to use to get to our rooms. The property is center ally located and it’s a 10 minute walk to Waikiki beach- which is overrun with tourists. All in all the property was good for our needs but there is definitely room for improvement.

This was a very nice condo. I loved that the parking was free for guests. It’s hard to find there. We enjoyed our stay here. My only complaint is that we arrived late and had to access a lockbox. There were 2 security ladies. One was rude and the other was nicer and helpful. That is my main reason I didn’t give it a full 5 stars. The other staff were nice. I believe everyone that works for the same company should have customer service skills even if they don’t want to be there. Anyway, in spite of that I would recommend it and stay here again. The pros did put weigh the cons.

Stacy the front desk staff was super pleasant and made our check in quick and easy, communication with the front desk the night off our stay due to our flight delayed they left the instructions and key with the security and room was quite, clean, and cozy.

The property was updated and clean. Did not appreciate the inflexible check in, check out time. Staff not willing to accommodate even though the room was ready earlier,likely checking out later was possible but refused. Did appreciate they would store our luggage

Clean, newly renovated, nice and convenient location. I just not received any email regarding after hours check in and was told they could only email it same day of check in. Provided alternative email adress but still no instruction received. Staff were helpful and professional specially Security. I read the bad reviews from a few years back regarding mean security and I’m glad I had a totally different experience. Will definitely book this place again in the future.

There is only one very small elevator for the whole parking structure. It broke when we were there. The elevator in the lobby was broken too. Repairs were made but it was an inconvenience when we came with all our belongings and had to walk in stairwell with them. The staff at the security never acknowledged us and some of the staff at check in were not the friendliest people.

We stayed at the Royal Kuhio for 6 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is amazing! In the heart of Waikiki -- walking distance to the beach and all major eating joints and major attractions. We had a corner unit and the view from the balcony was amazing. We could see diamond head. I am sure the view gets even better as you get to the higher floors. We would definitely love to come again!

General condition good but very dated. Handy location for pink trolley line. Also has out front area for uber etc. Constant traffic noise especially at night made sleeping difficult.

So nice to have a full kitchen in the unit and within walking distance to the beach. Didn’t like parking on the 6th floor since I kept getting dizzy going around in circles. Great value for the property. Would stay there again.

This property is in an excellent location. We felt very safe and the parking was a great benefit. We had a view to the ocean and the few minute walk to Waikiki was great. Any shopping or dining of any sort was immediate. Would highly recommend and would repeat if we are ever on Oahu again.

Royal Kuhio is the better places for locals who live away from Hawaii. We love it because it’s nice and accommodating. Price could be lowered, and when it’s too much for us we have no choice but to go with a lower priced property.

Rooms where clean upon arrival. Plenty of towels and toiletries for our one week stay. Room we had had all the cooking supplies we needed ie pan, pots, toaster ect which saved us big time on food. Local target and ABC stores nearby. Check in was easy, just went up to the security to get our key after hours then the following morning when the main office was open we exchanged our keys. Parking was at the very top but the fact this place had free parking included was awesome. We would definitely stay here again.
