WoodSpring Suites Inverness

We only stayed one night, but we found the room to be very clean and spacious. While there is no carpeting on the floor, we can see where that is a plus for keeping things clean and overhead down. We needed a couple extra pillows and it was easy enough to get from the front desk. We don't have anything negative to say about our stay.

Upon arriving everything was great, clean room, easy checkin. Approx 3:15am in the morning the firm alarm went off, we were evacuated to the parking lot. Did not get back into room until after 4:00 am. At that point the light on the fire alarm kept flashing and the alarm beeped every few minutes. We had a race that morning, on very little sleep. Went down in the morning and there was no hot water for a cup of tea or was there an ice machine. It’s a nice place, glad that their was no fire but very unfortunate that are night was not so great.

We were very disappointed by this hotel in the one night we spent there. While it was very clean and the staff were friendly, it was incredibly overpriced for what it provided. The electric car chargers didn't work (according to the staff, they've never worked), the bed in the room was no better than a cot, the flimsy blinds on the window did almost nothing to block out the blazing lights from the parking lot, and the paper-thin walls meant we could hear the neighbors much too well. And the hotel offered no little amenities to make up for what it lacked -- even the lobby coffee machine was broken. Unless we hear about major changes, we will NOT be staying again.
