It was great. We stayed in the Lodge. Just needed a lighter weight blanket rather than the heavy quilted bedspread. Also more non slip mats going fro parking to Lodge.

I loved my stay. The room was great, the restaurant was great. My massage was amazing! I will stay again. My only complaint is my room was hot at night. Other than the fan, which I had on high, I couldn’t figure out how to cool my room down.

I want to begin by saying it was a great weekend. We definitely recommend coming here. The atmosphere is cozy. The staff are friendly. It was definitely an “unplug” weekend. No in room television. There is WiFi. I do wish there was a little more space in our room and bathroom. It was a little snug. Granted, we didn’t really spend much time there. We went to the park to see the waterfalls. The hotel set up our horseback rides for us at a local stable. My wife got a massage at the hotel. We had a great dinner at the hotel restaurant. It is worth the trip.

This is a 100+ year-old rustic inn and absolutely adorable! Rooms are small but have everything you need. Breakfast is what they are serving that day, not a buffet, and it was a lot of food with some traditional southern favorites. There are little places to tuck away and read a book, and big porches/decks to enjoy the scenery. Lake Rabun is across the street, and there is a boat ramp close to the hotel. There are hiking trails and waterfalls a short drive away.

Quaint and lovely for a nice 2 day escape. We "splurged" for a room on the 3rd floor (we were told it was nicer) after peeking in on a 2nd floor room we realized it was the same. Loved everything about the hotel and grounds, the food was amazing both at dinner and breakfast. The coffee bar on each floor is a nice touch. Plenty of decks and verandas for sitting and enjoying a glass of wine in the evening or coffee in the morning. We will definitely be back :)

Our experience overall was fantastic! The entire staff is super friendly and professional. Oh, and the dining here? WOW! The ONLY critique we have is the limited parking. They really ought to consider marking a reserved spot for guests of the hotel. When we returned on an early Saturday evening, the restaurant customers took up 90% of the spots and we wound up in the gravel overflow. Hotel guests should have preferential treatment for parking.

Arrived later than anticipated but check-in was easily pre-arranged. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious. Staff was cheerful, friendly and very helpful. The room was nice but a bit cramped with the bed occupying most of the space. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Would definitely stay again.

Not Lake Front, Can’t even see the Lake, let alone walk to it or around it. Located on busy country road so you can’t walk anywhere- All private property. Have to drive pretty far to take a walk. Porches are nice and breakfast was good. Front desk woman was kind and friendly. The room is basic, housekeeping below average. Had to ask for towels, bring your own toiletries. towels, etc.

We loved our stay at the Lake Rabun Hotel and Restaurant. The hotel is so charming and the staff is so helpful and polite. Our only complaint is the shower in our room, needed to be updated and we did not get fresh towels every day.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was very nice. There were some cobwebs in the room, especially in the windows, but the bathroom and linens were clean. The restaurant across the street was amazing. Be careful in the lobby; the flooring isn't level. Overall, a great place for a good price.

Our third time staying here. The Rabun room needs some work. Screens fall off. No way to open windows for fresh air. The ceiling fan looked and sounded like it was going to fall off on us so we couldn’t use. Stuffy without fresh air and fan. The first floor water baskets in bathrooms needed to be emptied. The restaurant was great for dinner. Slow service at breakfast.

The Hotel has a really beautiful vintage Lodge look and feel. The property is so eclectic and interesting inside and out. The furnishings are spot on for the whole timeless Lodge look and feel. There are little to no lake views due to the location and the tree line. The A/C was great and our room had a ceiling fan. The restaurant atmosphere, food and service was very good and very $$$ but worth the price. The included breakfast was also delicious.

Cute little property in the GA mountains! The hotel does have some flaws like the it can be a little noisy as there is a sitting area that people like to hang out at. This isn’t fault of the hotel as they made the best of the space.

I loved the lodge and all the public spaces. It was lovely. I did not like how small our room was. It was almost impossible to get around each other to get ready. Only one small chair. The bed was super comfortable and we slept great. Wish we had better views of the lake. Overall lovely property.

I will say, it's an adorable historic rustic little lodge on Lake Rabun. But "historic" means tiny rooms where you have no place to put your luggage, you constantly bang your shins and toes on the feet of the bed, and you can't turn around in the bathroom. We apparently stayed in the tiniest room of them all: The Moonshine room. They do serve breakfast, which is a plus, but at least when we were there on a Monday through Wednesday, there were no servers. You walked in and helped yourself to juice and coffee just sitting on a table and a small fruit spread on the bar. As you sit, they ask you how you like your eggs (excuse me: egg). You get one. Then they just bring you a small plate of what they're serving that day, including your egg how you told them you wanted it. No menu or buffet to choose from. The food was decent, but the "server" was also manning the front desk of the hotel, so I felt like a bother trying to track someone down when I needed to ask for staples like ketchup or butter. The front desk closes up for the night at about 7pm (maybe 8?), apparently, and doesn't open back up until 7:30am, so you're on your own at night, just don't need anything. And the nearest grocery store or gas station is 15 minutes away in Clayton. In some ways, I guess I get it. It's a very small, probably family-owned place tucked away from any real civilization. So, the service is lacking for sure, but it does have some charm.

Lovely comfortable place and wish we could have stayed more than one night. Small room but plenty of other areas to sit and relax. Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious frittata and bacon for breakfast.

Chaise is by far one of the best bartenders I have ever had the pleasure of meeting , Taelor was such a funny and a ball of pure entertainment and the chef Pete made myself an amazing bison burger. Keygan was also so so funny and definitely made the experience here worthwhile. And last but not least kadence was also making the experience here extremely funny and enjoyable. I would 10/10 recommend coming here.

The stay was very nice with a couple of minor hicups described below. My major problem was with Expedia booking which was unacceptable due to their total failure to keep me informed. The date of arrival was changed and I was NOT informed. Only thru my last minute inquirer did I learn of the change and I then adjusted my travel. Complete Expedia failure!!! Not a property issue. Minor Property issue: The facial tissue was near empty in the room. I asked front desk for another box but they had none. They said they would inform housekeeping but I never heard anything again. I think it highly unusual for front desk not to have these simple products, facial tissue, TP, etc, available for their guests upon special request.

This little hotel is a rare find. It is cozy and rustic, and when you walk through the front door, you feel as if you have stepped back in time. The rooms are quaint and nice and the beds are So comfortable you won't want to get out of bed. The restaurant is incredible and we enjoyed an amazing dinner. The staff are more than friendly.

Great staff and very hospitable. This is a fantastic spot for a fun weekend getaway in the mountains. Food for dinner onsite was excellent and chef’s choice for breakfast was nice too. Great short stay and will be back!

I will say, it's an adorable historic rustic little lodge on Lake Rabun. But "historic" means tiny rooms where you have no place to put your luggage, you constantly bang your shins and toes on the feet of the bed, and you can't turn around in the bathroom. We apparently stayed in the tiniest room of them all: The Moonshine room. They do serve breakfast, which is a plus, but at least when we were there on a Monday through Wednesday, there were no servers. You walked in and helped yourself to juice and coffee just sitting on a table and a small fruit spread on the bar. As you sit, they ask you how you like your eggs (excuse me: egg). You get one. Then they just bring you a small plate of what they're serving that day, including your egg how you told them you wanted it. No menu or buffet to choose from. The food was decent, but the "server" was also manning the front desk of the hotel, so I felt like a bother trying to track someone down when I needed to ask for staples like ketchup or butter. The front desk closes up for the night at about 7pm (maybe 8?), apparently, and doesn't open back up until 7:30am, so you're on your own at night, just don't need anything. And the nearest grocery store or gas station is 15 minutes away in Clayton. In some ways, I guess I get it. It's a very small, probably family-owned place tucked away from any real civilization. So, the service is lacking for sure, but it does have some charm.

Our third time staying here. The Rabun room needs some work. Screens fall off. No way to open windows for fresh air. The ceiling fan looked and sounded like it was going to fall off on us so we couldn’t use. Stuffy without fresh air and fan. The first floor water baskets in bathrooms needed to be emptied. The restaurant was great for dinner. Slow service at breakfast.

This is a 100+ year-old rustic inn and absolutely adorable! Rooms are small but have everything you need. Breakfast is what they are serving that day, not a buffet, and it was a lot of food with some traditional southern favorites. There are little places to tuck away and read a book, and big porches/decks to enjoy the scenery. Lake Rabun is across the street, and there is a boat ramp close to the hotel. There are hiking trails and waterfalls a short drive away.

Not Lake Front, Can’t even see the Lake, let alone walk to it or around it. Located on busy country road so you can’t walk anywhere- All private property. Have to drive pretty far to take a walk. Porches are nice and breakfast was good. Front desk woman was kind and friendly. The room is basic, housekeeping below average. Had to ask for towels, bring your own toiletries. towels, etc.

I loved the lodge and all the public spaces. It was lovely. I did not like how small our room was. It was almost impossible to get around each other to get ready. Only one small chair. The bed was super comfortable and we slept great. Wish we had better views of the lake. Overall lovely property.

Very enjoyable stay at this historic hotel in the mountains. The property was nice and reminded me of a bed and breakfast type of stay. The restaurant was nice, and the hotel was only 10 minutes from the Tallulah Falls Gorge/State Park. I enjoyed my stay and the hike to the gorge floor/sliding rock.

A beautiful hidden gem, a historic building that through out the years has maintained its structure and beauty. The rooms are comfortable but be ware that walls are not sound proof. The complementary breakfast is always delicious and all the staff is very helpful and friendly. This place is 17 minutes from Tallulah George State Park and other amazing trails.

The Hotel has a really beautiful vintage Lodge look and feel. The property is so eclectic and interesting inside and out. The furnishings are spot on for the whole timeless Lodge look and feel. There are little to no lake views due to the location and the tree line. The A/C was great and our room had a ceiling fan. The restaurant atmosphere, food and service was very good and very $$$ but worth the price. The included breakfast was also delicious.

Arrived later than anticipated but check-in was easily pre-arranged. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious. Staff was cheerful, friendly and very helpful. The room was nice but a bit cramped with the bed occupying most of the space. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful! All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included in your stay which you need to reserve ahead of time. Dinner at the restaurant is pricey, but well worth it! There is also a full bar available. This is more of a bed and breakfast style hotel so you will need to be noise courteous of other patrons. Lake and surrounding houses are stunning!

Quaint and lovely for a nice 2 day escape. We "splurged" for a room on the 3rd floor (we were told it was nicer) after peeking in on a 2nd floor room we realized it was the same. Loved everything about the hotel and grounds, the food was amazing both at dinner and breakfast. The coffee bar on each floor is a nice touch. Plenty of decks and verandas for sitting and enjoying a glass of wine in the evening or coffee in the morning. We will definitely be back :)

Built in 1922, all knotty pine - charming. Everything creaks, floors, beds and chairs. Interior foyer hasn’t been updated for years. The bathroom doors do not come close to closing, disappointing. Max’s lakeside restaurant, a 1 minute walk, was Excellent.

Loved the many places to sit and relax. Enjoyed the many couches and outdoor decks. Taylor who manages the restaurant and Toni our server were the highlights of our stay, both very focused on customer satisfaction. Unfortunately the noise from surrounding rooms made sleeping difficult. The first night fellow guests seemed cognizant of the close quarters / lack of insulation (due to age of property), but on night two we had to put up with yelling / arguing , as well as computer video games on full blast.
