Stayed 4 nights

The property was very quiet and Maria was a very gracious host, however she only spoke Italian so there was a (mis)communication barrier. Pool towels were an additional €10/each—something that should be included in a €2000+ rental. I would understand if the towel fee was refundable to prevent damage or loss. Check in took about 20-25 minutes and included a tour of the property, too long since we paid in advance and signed all required documents prior to arrival. There was an additional €250 security deposit paid in cash at check in. And city tax per person per day paid in cash due upon arrival. The outside area & “shared” pool were very nice, but the limited pool hours & strict rules were too complicated. Location is good for visiting many of the surrounding small towns & communities. There is no AC and the temps during the day reached 36+. There was only one fan for 5 rooms and because of the unique architecture designed to keep heat in there was limited/no air circulation at night. In my opinion, this home would be best enjoyed in cooler months. Kitchen was tiny but equipped with the basics so we made it work for 6 people. Overall a nice place to stay but be aware of the long check in process, extra fees, strict rules, and weather conditions.

A charming home in a quiet part of the city. The pool was a great extra during the warmer days. The hostess was wonderful and was readily available to answer questions. A short drive to city center was an added bonus.

Stayed 2 nights

U fortunately the person we were met by didn’t speak any English which was a problem. As 2 couples we had booked this for relaxing after a few stays prior. We were under the impression that we had the whole villa but were shown kitchen with dining table 2 bedrooms 1 bathroom and a small toilet. We eventually got the rest of the villa with another room bedroom and toilet opened. The pool was not working for the 2 nights as a part was broken and this was disappointing. The garden furniture was dirty and left marks on our bodies after sitting on it . The sun loungers were green but left green marks on our skin there were no pads but we used the towels from the inside to cover them and was told that we couldn’t do that so if you want to lay on a sun lounger be aware it will mark your skin

Stayed 3 nights

We stayed in this trulli from April 18-21 and it was an amazing, wonderful find at a very reasonable price. it is located in an idyllic farming area a few kilometers outside of Martina Franca, just one of several wonderful historic Italian towns surrounding this property. Our three-bedroom trulli was wonderfully modern, clean and enjoyable. Other than light breakfasts of pastries, fruit and coffee we ate our meals out, so we did not do any cooking, but the refrigerator and coffee maker easily handled our needs, making breakfast on the patio outside our trulli every morning very enjoyable and relaxing. The bathrooms were modern, the water was hot and the towels were plush, with a towel warmer in the main bathroom. The reservation process went smoothly, with the only minor "glitch" occurring when our host tried to contact me for the security deposit and the room tax using my U.S. cell phone instead of through email or text. I had a European esim and my U.S. cell number was turned off. We handled that issue easily once we called to confirm our arrival time. There is an excellent high-quality restaurant (I can't remember the name) about a half-mile away by car. I suggest making reservations because we had a very hard time getting in on a Saturday night. The weather was cool, so we did not use the pool, but it looked very nice. I give this property a 4.9 out of 5.0.
