The rooms were dark and quiet. The beds were a bit firmer but we all had a good night’s sleep. There isn’t tons of space in the room for opening suitcases but they had coin lockers (500 yen) for our luggage before check in which was really appreciated. It’s easy to find and there is an ice and drink machine during specific hours. We had a nice time in Osaka.

Nettes Personal, gratis Getränkebar von 15 bis 22Uhr, Mikrowelle im Zimmer, genug Platz für 4 Personen. Man hat einige Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gleich in der Nähe und auch die Anbindung der Öffentlichenverkehrsmittel ist gut. Leider war unser Zimmer an der Straßenseite und die Wände nach außen sind nicht so gut gedämmt, daher hört man den Straßenlärm sehr stark, Abends (ab ca 21Uhr) sind immer viele Motorräder unterwegs gewesen, das hat den Schlaf gestört.

Dormitory style stay with bunk beds. This was our 2nd stay this trip. Open windows available for fresh air into the room. Had both smallest room and this room which was larger. If you are planning to spend time in the room then this larger room was the better choice. Staff extremely helpful! We’re grateful for their help finding a room on the day of our arrival in Japan due to a problem with the original room that was booked but not what was advertised. My review of this property doesn’t take that into account. Lockers available to store luggage before checkin or after check out. Make sure you have 500yen coin per locker or exchange money for change at reception. Added benefit of complementary hot & cold drinks after check in until evening. My children loved the hot cocoa. Within walking distance of Namba main area and station … even pushing suit cases. Well-stay has a number of other property types in Osaka which we will also consider for our next stay.

Liked the free drinks and free laundry. At night it was a little noisy and I couldn’t use the hard pillows. Hotel is very close to everything. Made the trip to USJ a breeze. Staff were very helpful.

The property was not badly located. Restaurants and convienice stores were close by. The station not too far away as well as the main shopping area. The hotel itself is old. You can hear everything that goes on as there is not much sound proofing. There are laundry facilities but they are not commercial so it takes forever to dry clothes. Coffee is available but only during check-in times which is 3pm to around 10pm. Nothing available in the morning. The hotel is well priced so cant complain.

The hotel makes great use of limited space and has everything needed to make light meals in the room. Good laundry facilities - you pay for the drier but the washing machine is no charge. Fairly convenient to Namba Station.

It was a good location. Small as all hotels in Japan, but it was clean. The only issue was the laundry, the dryer did not work and the clothes were all wet.

In my opinion, this place was actually my top hotel to stay at. Great location, right in the heart of Osaka. Walking distance was perfect to everything. The hotel itself was super clean, and pretty spacious for the deluxe family room (accommodate up to 4 people) was perfect. The staff was very helpful and nice. They are right on time. So if your check in is at 3pm, then your check in is at 3pm sharp! They also have a great service for Luggage if you are traveling to another hotel (Tokyo) they do have it which costs $25 fee, which was well worth it!!! if we ever come back to Osaka, this will be my go to hotel! 5 stars in my opinion.

The place was okay, it was way too small to accommodate 4 people. It was though to move around within the room. The beds were VERY uncomfortable and hard, is why I gave them a 3 star rating; after walking over 20,000 a day, is definitely not the way to end the day… all of us woke up with back and shoulder pain. Not sure if they truly cleaned the room as they should have since we found used socks from previous guests while we were making sure we didn’t leave anything behind.

The location was great, not far from the subway and the shops/eating places. Our room was small but clean. The bunk beds were not the easiest to up and down but ok. Staff were very friendly and very helpful at check in. All in all a good stay.

Good sized rooms with efficient layouts due to the bunk beds which makes it feel larger than it is. Staff and service is extremely limited. We stayed for 3 nights and there was no housekeeping at all, not even trash and towel service which is standard with this level of hotel. Also a safety concern if they are not getting into the rooms on a regular basis? There is no front desk and staff are not visible. Hours they are on site is unclear. There is a sign to ring a bell For service but was not able to locate the bell. We sent our luggage ahead to them and they were responsive on email and stored our luggage in on site lockers for 500 yen per locker. The window sill in the room was very very dusty and dirty. Other parts of the room appear reasonably clean. The pillows are very uncomfortable (they are the ones with beads inside and limited cushioning). We have seen these pillows at other hotels and are common in Japan. However other hotels have a softer option also available but the Wellstay Namba did not. The staff suggested that we use towels to make it softer. We used the inflatable pillows from our flight. Overall this is a solid choice for a budget conscious traveller. But if you are wanting a bit more service you will not find that here.

Hotel was clean a good value for the great location. The upper bunk beds in the family room could have safer fall protection railings as my kids could easily roll under the railing and fall. The front facing room are extremely noisy at night with cars and motorcycles revving their engines until late at night.

Good location however can be loud at night with nightime traffic. Functional accommodations with no frills. Self check in was easy and staff was knowledgeable and efficient. Please update pillows as the beaded pillows was hard and uncomfortable. Option for softer pillows would be appreciated however duvet covers were very comfortable.

This property was VERY compact. Our room was very compact to the point where it was almost uncomfortable. Only one elevator almost was an inconvenience since it seemed like the stairs were inaccessible. But the biggest brightside is the free drink station and the easy check in and check out. Definitely would come again but maybe with less people per room.

The Pros: The room was large for the four of us. My kids loved the bunkbed. It was nice that there were complimentary beverages (3p-10p). It was nice that there were laundry machines to use. Note: dryer does not dry bulk items. You must hang dry damp clothes in your own room. It was nice that Namba is a short walk from the hotel. It was nice to have a few restaurants, 7/11, and Family Mart nearby, and a 100 yen store to browse. And it was nice that the Namba Yasaka Shrine is in the backyard. The cons: sounds like a racetrack outside the window from the road (out of the hotel's control). If you're tired enough, you will sleep through it. My last point is 100% speculative (maybe my paranoia). My respiratory system reacts to mold quickly, i.e. asthma flares. When I'm outside strolling, I'm fine. When I'm inside the room, the wheezing and breathing get heavy. I think the split heat pump system may not be cleaned frequently. All I can recommend is to clean the appliance, OR add a mobile air cleansing unit. Overall, quite satisfied with the stay.

Overall it was a good place and near train stations especially Namba. The refrigerator in the room was not working. Also the staff was hard to reach, and when we tried to call her, no response but we could hear her talking. Apparently on the phone. Tried to get her attention and she closed the door in front of us. Never came out to check what we needed at all. For that the service wasn't good. The pillows were really hard and not comfortable for sleep.

The location was great, not far from the subway and the shops/eating places. Our room was small but clean. The bunk beds were not the easiest to up and down but ok. Staff were very friendly and very helpful at check in. All in all a good stay.

Good sized rooms with efficient layouts due to the bunk beds which makes it feel larger than it is. Staff and service is extremely limited. We stayed for 3 nights and there was no housekeeping at all, not even trash and towel service which is standard with this level of hotel. Also a safety concern if they are not getting into the rooms on a regular basis? There is no front desk and staff are not visible. Hours they are on site is unclear. There is a sign to ring a bell For service but was not able to locate the bell. We sent our luggage ahead to them and they were responsive on email and stored our luggage in on site lockers for 500 yen per locker. The window sill in the room was very very dusty and dirty. Other parts of the room appear reasonably clean. The pillows are very uncomfortable (they are the ones with beads inside and limited cushioning). We have seen these pillows at other hotels and are common in Japan. However other hotels have a softer option also available but the Wellstay Namba did not. The staff suggested that we use towels to make it softer. We used the inflatable pillows from our flight. Overall this is a solid choice for a budget conscious traveller. But if you are wanting a bit more service you will not find that here.

난카이 난바역에서 걸어서 7분정도 거리에 있어요. 도톤보리까지 가는덴 좀 멀지만, 공항갈땐 편한 위치! 큰 길가 한복판에 있어 택시도 잘 잡혀요. 아이1 어른2 갔는데 쿼드룸 침대가 4개라 편하게 잘 잤어요 화장실 욕실은 좁긴 하지만 수압이 좋아 따뜻한 물도 콸콸 잘 나왔네요! 짐 두는 공간이 좁아 캐리어 하나 정도만 열 수 있는게 단점. 그래도 가격이 저렴한 편이고 가족여행 숙소로 만족해요

Wellstay Namba was close to restaurants and convenience stores and just about a 20-minute stroll through cool and interesting areas to Dotonbori St. The hotel had a 24-hour free coffee/soda/etc. station in the lobby, which we loved. The room was small but had all we needed plus a large tv and dishes for the food we brought in. The bunk beds were fun and gave the kids their own space. Wellstay Namba really did well with all the amenities and conveniences.

Nettes Personal, gratis Getränkebar von 15 bis 22Uhr, Mikrowelle im Zimmer, genug Platz für 4 Personen. Man hat einige Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gleich in der Nähe und auch die Anbindung der Öffentlichenverkehrsmittel ist gut. Leider war unser Zimmer an der Straßenseite und die Wände nach außen sind nicht so gut gedämmt, daher hört man den Straßenlärm sehr stark, Abends (ab ca 21Uhr) sind immer viele Motorräder unterwegs gewesen, das hat den Schlaf gestört.

Liked the free drinks and free laundry. At night it was a little noisy and I couldn’t use the hard pillows. Hotel is very close to everything. Made the trip to USJ a breeze. Staff were very helpful.

위치나 내부 청결도가 아주 좋았습니다. 많은 인원이 투숙할 수 있도록 2층 침대를 준비해 두었지만 비좁음은 조금 감수해야 합니다. 그외에는 모두 만족스러웠습니다. 직원이 항상 상주해 있고 200엔짜리 코인락커도 충분히 준비되어 28인치 대형 캐리어도 보관하기 수월합니다.

Our stay was good. Clean rooms although room 308 smelled like mildew all the time. Also the mattresses and pillows were not comfortable at all. Too stiff and pillows with plastic beads need to be upgraded/changed for a well stay. Shops and restaurants were near by very convenient but would have enjoyed our stay 100% if mattresses and pillows were better especially from doing a lot of walking.
