Heston Hyde Hotel

We booked this last minute for trip to twickenham. Looked at the reviews. Probably should have looked deeper. The hotel is used to house asylum seekers as well as paying guests. Hence no facilities. No restaurant. Pool. Or gym. Not a real problem. But the added security staff in reception didnt put you at ease when you walk in past the loud music listening cannabis smoking men sitting around. We went to our room. It had been serviced apparently as we checked in just before the 3pm time. However. In the bed and on the pillows we found short black curly hairs. ! In the bathroom by the towel rail we found dried blood splattered stains on the wall and then more on the wall by the main door. The table was damaged. The carpetted floor was covered with 'bits' We initially dropped our stuff and dashed out to make the game so noticed all this when we returned in the evening. Too late to get another room. On our return after the day. We were hit by the strong smell of cannabis from the corridors to our room. We were just hapoy to leave first thing. Mentioned the isses to the staff and they advised to email the GM to which ive done, so we'll see if there's a reply. Honestly. Id give this one a wide berth. Infact id never go back again !!! I emailed the general manager. He did not reply to my email and after 4 days and chaser. He replied saying it was our opportunity to raise it before the evening so an alternative room could be found. No refund ! No gesture of good will P

Really disappointed to see the difference in this hotel since we stayed as a family a few years ago. No facilities open - including restaurant. Swarms of security and refugees with bags of belongings.

Hotel being used to home asylum seekers. Plates, food, cutlery and rubbish being disposed of everywhere around hotel. Groups of people hanging out in hallways/ outside making the place feel unsafe. No facilities open to public or paying customers. Rooms are very outdated and look extremely tired.

Very convenient location with large free car park. The hotel is being used for migrant housing, but this wasn't a problem for me. The restaurant is closed to cater for migrants, but I was offered breakfast delivered to the room if required. The room was spacious and clean. It won't suit anyone looking for a destination hotel as minimal facilities, but I would stay again if just looking for somewhere to stay convenient for Twickenham or Heathrow.

When I first drove into the car park I knew something wasn't right as there were strange men hanging around and smoking. Then when I checked in I saw about 8 peaople just around a table in the corner of the reception area which was strange. A day before I was notified by email that the facilities were closed for the swimming pool, restaurant, bar and sauna which I was very disapointed to find out without any reason and wasn't clear when I made the booking. Also it was too late to book another hotel at such short notice. Then I was at the lift and spoke to a man asking if he was staying here and he replied that he's been living there for a year and also another person was living there for 3 years. Then I knew what I was expecting that this hotel is for housing people and more like a hostel than a hotel. This is not a problem, but I would have like to have been notified or advised as if i brought my chilldren I don't think he would have been a safe please. The staff were very abrupt and not helpful at all. I wouldn't stay here again.

I booked a double room for one night. Upon arrival it became clear very quickly that the hotel is being used to house asylum applicants. All facilities including the restaurant and bar were closed, so absolutely no facilities to experience at all. The communal carpets are in a disgusting state, to the level where you need to wipe your feet as you exit the hot. The experience did not improve once I arrived in my room on the second floor, overlooking the carpark, which was full of coaches, but this wasn’t the issue. The room was in a bad state of repair, furniture damaged, bathroom door damaged, skirting board needing a paint job etc. There were just four coat hangers in the wardrobe, so not enough to hang all my clothes. There is a bath and shower with a shower curtain! The bath itself has seen better days and the toilet cistern kept filling all night. An absolute terrible hotel and it is shameless that they have the audacity to let rooms here!

Room is dirty , particularly the carpet. Hotel manager is very disrespectful. Staff here are unwelcoming. After staying at several places , this is by far the worst

This isn't a hotel anymore. It's for asylum seekers. There are sketchy people sitting everywhere/walking in and out. The building smells disgusting and all amenities (dining room, pool, gym) have been shut down for a long time and will never open again, it's not a hotel anymore. Very unsafe feeling. The room was also horrible. We checked in early so we could use the bathroom before going into the city... because there are no lobby bathrooms. We were in the room 5 minutes, noticed broken window. We came downstairs to go to the city and told them about the problem. They said they would fix it. We didn't leave a single thing in the room, felt unsafe. We came back at night for 15 minutes. In that time, we assessed the room. Checked for bedbugs... but mid check stopped looking because we noticed there weren't even fitted sheets on the bed. On top of the mattress was a puffy mat, and picking it up revealed the pee stained mattresses. I mean lots of stains. In addition to the pee stains all over the beds, one bed had a burn/stab through it about 6" x 2". The other, blood stains. There was dried white substance on the curtains. The desk in the room was damaged/cut up on top. We stopped inspecting so I don't know what else was in there. We immediately booked another hotel and went downstairs to leave and hopefully get a refund (not happening). In the corner of the lobby is a section filled with black trash bags (at least 100) and a table and logging computer. We left, No refund

I couldn’t stay. I had to leave and book elsewhere. This is no longer a hotel in my opinion, I feel sorry for the staff having to deal with that situation. It’s full of asylum seekers who have absolutely zero respect for the place. Being a single female on my own, I didn’t feel safe as there were large group's of men hanging around corridors- glaring at me like I was intruding! They were shouting outside my door and I could not settle, they were so loud and intimidating. There was no way I was going to hack it out and eventually plucked up the courage to leave the room and check out. I felt safe once I left the carpark. The place smelled so bad of smoke and weed. The room was passable as a 2* at best, I’ve stayed in cleaner 3* budget hotels. I stayed here years ago and it was pleasant so I didn’t think to read reviews for an update. Absolutely never again, it’s ruined what was a nice hotel. I have never felt so uncomfortable and on edge, it was awful. The receptionist was very apologetic, it’s obviously not their fault and are just doing their best to deal with that chaos.

The room was disgusting, it won’t let me post picture but it was so dirty. Waste of money, nothing was clean, bedsheets had hair, sink was gross. The room wasn’t cleaned at all; toilet wasn’t even flushed, towels were dirty and wet.

Dirtiest place we’ve stayed in years. No care. Place is no longer a proper hotel but what I can assume is temporary accommodation for immigration or asylum seekers. Shocking how bad it has become.

Is not the hotel it used to be, is hosting lots of refugees and too many refugee men standing in the corridors, outside and in the car park playing loud music and smoking at the front door of the hotel. My room’s window was broken couldn’t close it and had to report it. Terrible experience will not come back their ever again

Lovely hotel. Unfortunately the spa was unavailable. Great welcoming staff. Although it was very intimidating when we rode into the car park as there were lots of people standing around, lying on the grass, standing by their deliveroo bikes. Room was upgraded and extended check out was offered and no extra cost. Spacious room, clean and beds were very comfortable.

Definitely not a 4* hotel, seems to be a place for refugees, felt uncomfortable as soon as I arrived with lots of what appeared to be refugees outside. As a female alone stay away. The photos are definitely not correct. The room was clean however the dressing table was split/damaged and I caught my clothes on there which pulled the linen.

We booked two rooms for a wedding, and found the Bar and pool were closed also. there were people hanging around all night. the rooms were not great, and the water pressure was not good. They even took a deposit which i was not expecting Expedia should not have this on the website and should of told me.

Poor standards at the front desk, writing down credit card numbers on slips of paper and not able to return ‘holding deposit’ for 28 days. Bad form all round avoid this hotel.

There was a security breach so if you left your room you had to get staff to let you back in. We wouldn’t return.

Our room was not ready, but the staff kindly upgraded us to a suite room which was for the inconvenience. Very nice and friendly staff.

If you're traveling to London with a car or mini bus this a great stop off. Hotel is very comfortable and quiet you will get a great sleep.

This is not a hotel. We felt we had been scammed the minute we arrived. The hotel was dimly lit, with a group of men sitting on folding chairs and folding tables next to reception. This looked more like a supportive refuge housing. This is not a hotel, please be aware. We felt extremely unsafe and we left within 10 minutes. We cannot believe this is being advertised as an airport hotel.

receive an email in the afternoon , informing no facilities available on site, no restaurant , bar , swimming pool , when turning up , security on the doors , lots of people milling about, when asked what is going on , advised that the Home Office had taken over the hotel, housing immigrants , this hotel should not be available to book

The staff on reception were friendly and helpful, however there was no restaurant or bar open if you had breakfast you had to have it in your room, there was only one lift working and hotel looked tired and needed some TLC, definitely not a 4 star hotel, the room was ok bed comfy, shower wasn’t good, lamp shades were grubby, walls, and windows, people hanging around in hallways made me feel uncomfortable, definitely wouldn’t stay here again. 👎

It was very disappointing. There was no bar or restaurant service which we weren’t told about, so we had to go to the nearest pub to eat.This was a taxi ride there and back when we like to sit and enjoy the hotel which we have paid good money for. It was full of asylum seekers which we weren’t told about either. It was very intimidating and I felt too uncomfortable to get a breakfast as the asylum seekers were there getting theirs.

It would appear that this hotel houses person for immigration or long term accommodation (for which I have no issue, but don’t sell this as a hotel) therefore the facilities were not available, we were told this the day before our travel. It was not mentioned in bookIng that the restaurant, bar etc would not be open to us. Cleanliness was not Up to scratch and the whole experience was unpleasant The only good thing to me to was the friendly receptionist and free parking.

Was disappointed on arrival that all facilities were closed, i don't know what was going on but people were going in to the restaurant with paper plates i was told its closed i traveled by road from Scotland and had to go out an find a takeaway find this strange , i could have booked the Premier Inn without the meal deal and it would have been a lot cheaper

What they don’t tell you when booking is this hotel is full of asylum seekers. They do a full English breakfast delivered to your room but with no meat products……. So it’s not a full English without bacon and sausage. Don’t stay here it’s really not nice

We didn’t know that hotel turn into refugee champ it’s was horrible trip everything was close no bar no food no pool.
