Leon Hotel LES

Can’t believe I paid so much for a hotel just for it to have a broken elevator… in Manhattan.

The top floor had a great view and a cute seat in the window that I wish I had a chance to sit in longer and just watch cars cross the Manhattan Bridge. Elevator was slow but it gets you there eventually.

The hotel did not offer room service or a store to purchase forgotten necessities. Once I got to my floor. I wasn’t as worried because it looked more like a hotel. The room was nice with a great view, had there been anything to view. The view of the bridge isn’t as breathtaking as one might believe and there were some homeless people across from the hotel. The sunrise, however, was amazing if you’re into that sort of thing. The only thing wrong with the room was the shower. It wouldn’t get hot and have a good pressure at the same time. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. So overall it a good stay

Love Leon Hotel LES! the staff are great and the location can't be beat for LES, East Village walking around, subways, cabs, etc. Right at the base of the Manhattan Bridge. I like that there is a park across the street to calm the bustle of everything else around. Lasty, I love the window seats, and the fact that the windows still open. Nothing like fresh air! There are no real amenities, but the staff will help you make sure you get to everything you need nearby.

Nicely renovated corner room with terrific view! Lobby is small and unremarkable, location is convenient for Chinatown. Street immediately in front of hotel is quiet enough to park/unload the car.

The property is conveniently located, bathroom and bedding nice. The carpet is worn. The elevator was out of service on day we checked out so had to carry luggage down 5 flights of stairs as hotel made no accommodations. Also, TV didn’t work and night manager said no one on duty to address the TV issue. I had to beg to get batteries to see if this was the issue. It was not. Lobby very small

Location excellent, which was the reason why we chose this hotel. Reception - both staff, appearance and state were below expectation. Tea station right by the lift and drinks vending machine gave it a hostel feel. Front desk staff barely acknowledged you when you walked past, we shared a lift with one and he couldn't even manage a good morning greeting. We needed to leave our luggage for the day as we had a late flight and he made it sound like such a big deal! Small bathroom but facilities in the room were generally functional. Overall- expensive for what it offered and the photos were not reflective of the reality

good central location at Chinatown. great variety of food options from Chinese, Japanese, italian… bed is ok, not too soft or too hard. Hotel has only one elevator, no gym, room provided a small bar soap, a small tube of shampoo and lotion, no body wash nor conditioner provided. a fire alarm right above the bed blinks constantly (not a problem if u r very tired).

Room and lobby are a lot smaller than expected. Water and ice machine were broken.

Friendly and professional staff. Great location. Clean and modern. Would absolutely stay here again!

Clean and centrally located in Chinatown close to subway stations and shopping. Friendly staff. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Staff was nice but there were a few issues. The ac/heat in the room didnt work consistently. Headboards were dirty, phone was broken and the toilet was clogged upon arrival. When we called staff they gave us a plunger to sort out their plumbing issue which seemed odd but worked out in the

The location is good. Right on the edge of Chinatown, within blocks of good coffee, good donuts and yummy bagels. You can walk to the Brooklyn Bridge, downtown or Battery Park within 30 minutes. The view is spectacular, the Manhattan Bridge lets out right in front of the hotel and there is a gorgeous arch that the traffic come through. However, the hotel is dirty. They try to cover up the fact that it isn't very clean with air freshners. The AC smelled like cigarettes, I wore shoes in the room because the carpet was dirty. The bed was OK. The bathroom was passable, though the little shelf above the toilet was about to fall down the entire time. My biggest issue was the door lock (not the deadbolt). We told them it wasn't all the way screwed to the door and they didn’t take care of it while we were there. This isn't a "good" tier hotel, it's passable and that, simply because of the location. The Leon hotels was a very small and cute hotel that provided a very comfortable & cleanliness room/ stay for my family of 4. We stayed here for 8 nights and LOVED everything about this hotel, it felt like home . Did I mention the great views this hotel had .

This hotel was clean and quiet and walking distance from many main streets. Customer service was the best. Front desk was very helpful and friendly. I will be coming back.

Awful. Not the nicest area and hotel itself is the bare minimum one would expect - definitely not staying here again. Rooms are tiny with no view, reception area is horrible, and zero amenities. Had police in reception area one day.

The property had big windows and spacious rooms .

Wasn’t sure what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. Family suite was great and two bedrooms and bathrooms was a plus. Very clean and smells very nice. The view of the Manhattan bridge was so nice we took plenty of pictures. We wanted to extend our stay but they were all booked.

Despite a noisy neighborhood, room was super quiet. Really comfy bed, and pretty large for a Manhattan hotel room!

Great Hotel! The room was clean and really spacious. The hotel personnel were friendly and helpful. Perfect location, just a couple of minutes from public transport.

We needed a place to overnight to attend a family event the next day. This hotel was a convenient location and offered a nice room for a reasonable price. We had a corner double which looked out at the Manhattan Bridge Arch so it made for a beautiful view. Also it was surprisingly not very loud in our room, even though it was a busy traffic area. There were some parts of the room that were a little shabby like a blemish on the wall from damage that was not painted over and the bathroom had peeling paint. However, the beds were comfortable and the rainfall shower head was relaxing. Plenty of coffee, soap and toiletries. Hot water and additional coffee available at the lobby. The staff at the front desk were efficient and helpful. They also allowed us to keep our baggage in the lobby until we returned later in the afternoon after our event. Would stay here again if we need to be in the Chinatown area. We were actually on a roadtrip East so this was a perfect location that was close to the parking garage, our event venue and a direct route to the Holland Tunnel to continue our trip.

The Staff made you feel Welcome and appreciated. Joseph was awesome! He made the stay complete with his dining suggestions. I truly had a great stay, will definitely stay again!

We reserved a room and selected pay at check-in. Despite having this option available for customers, the hotel attempted a charge four days before check-in. Unaware, we arrived on the night of check-in, and we found out that because the charged payment failed, our room was canceled, and there were no more available rooms. Of course, we were disappointed, but we were also relieved because the hotel is in a mediocre area of Chinatown next door to a run-down Popeyes restaurant. Also, based only on the appearance of the small lobby with that cheap glass shied around the front desk, which has several “we do not accept cash, only credit card payment” white sheets of paper posted, we can tell that our stay was going to be unpleasant. We kindly left the establishment and were so lucky to find a beautiful hotel that was clean, reasonable, and in the Time Squared area. The hotel should not offer a “reserve now and pay at check-in” and should directly notify customers when and if their rooms will be or are canceled.

The staff was very pleasant. The check-in process was smooth. The went the extra time to check if our room was clean for an early check-in. We were abls.to change and leave our bags to start our day. The room & bathroom were clean. Front staff was pleasant at check-out as well.

Unprofessional manager. Escalates issues . I've Suffer from a disability with service animal. I was threatened unfortunately and the threat was made good my room was taken away because of my disability. To be fair as I made my points ; they eventually said I can stay for a $500 deposit which I assume was sarcastic. It was just another way to inconvenience me. Take what you will from this story.

We arrived around 2:30pm, the reptionist was nice, she was welcoming and accomodating. We got the suite and headed to our room. The door inside our suite that separates the private room from the other 2 rooms would not close and has about 4 inches wide of a gap. Towards the end of the night when we got back from the hotel, we requested for extra soap and shampoo, there were 6 of us for that room and only had 1 thin soap, 1 small shampoo, and 1 small lotion and 4 towels. The male receptionist was not helpful, he asked us to come down and get the amenities ourselves. We also requested for extra towels and pillows and was told that we had to wait for tomorrow to get extra towels and pillows as their laundry room is closed and they didnt have keys to open it. I told them, we would not need them for tomorrow since we are checking out then. We wouldn't have not mind the lackness of this hotel but the male asian receptionist was rude and unaccomodating. I would not go back to this place if this contonued to be run this way. (Note: i am asian myself)

Friendly staff. Clean modern room. 4 free bottles of water every day. Our departure flight was at 7pm, we were able to leave luggage at the front desk and enjoyed the city for extra few hours.

Hotel itself was great, clean room, great service. No complaints inside at all, however the area around the hotel can be a bit sketchy late at night. We never had any issues exploring the city late at night but the walk back to the hotel from the subway was definitely a bit of a quicker one. We never had anything happen so I cant complain much but it was something to note if you plan on being out all night.

i would say great location near brooklyn bridge and china town. however there are more beter hotel located nearby. unsafe people(kind of people with mental issue, uses drugs etc) lurks around, almost did not feel safe going out at night. 30 to 35min walk around blecker, cornelia st.great neighborhood, the feel of true new york. 10min walk to canal street subway station to midtown room is clean we had a great view manhattan arch or something.

Right in Chinatown with great views, easy walks to public transportation, and walkable from all around lower Manhattan.

This hotel was absolutely amazing! Nice, clean and great staff. Very safe area! There were times when we explored the city until 10 or 11 at night.. walking back with no issues. Hotel in Chinatown, walking distance to little Italy, subway, food, Starbucks.. and much more. Great place for the money!

Can’t beat the location for the price, close to 4 subway lines, and the entire Lower East Side is a walkable from there including the Brooklyn Bridge
