A very convenient location to everything downtown Brooklyn. The room was clean, quiet, safe, and spacious. The free breakfast had various choices, and the time it opened and closed was good. The food in the bar/restaurant on the property was good. I plan to come back again in the near future.

Location is good close to DUMBO and Manhattan Bridge; however, our room was poor. The ice machine was immediately outside our door - it was very noisy and disturbed our sleep throughout the night. The air conditioning unit was antiquated and meant that the room was either hot or filled with an arctic blast of air. Finally, the Hotel’s hot water system failed, so we didn’t have any hot water during our stay. The only positive was the staff who were trying to manage the situation with limited resources. One was also super helpful when my daughter developed a migraine.

Overall average stay, that’s if you’re looking for a place that provides good AC and no bed bugs. They don’t tell you there’s a parking fee of $100 and an additional $100 per night fee. You do however get the per night fees back upon check out. Elevators are a bit inconsistent. My family had to request a microwave for their room which took a while. Breakfast is meh, and they do not provide room service. The view was amazing but if you’re looking for a somewhat quieter place then I wouldn’t suggest this hotel. It’s right on a busy intersection so we heard horns all day and night.

Was very satisfied with the hotel experience. The attached restaurant/bar is weak. This is not a deal breaker as there are many restaurant/bar options nearby, but it takes away from the overall experience of staying there.

Quite comfortable and spacious room considering it’s NYC. Breakfast was ok, could be a lot better. Service was nice, front desk very friendly parking was a nightmare with construction and the garage recommended being hard to reach.

I stayed in this and other Hampton Inns many times. This one has been good in the past but is starting to show its age and little annoyances showed up. The shower dripped when I tried to shut it off. The refrigerator in the room kept making noises to wake me up. There was a blood stain on the bedsheet. The experience could have been better.

Our stay was okay. It was my first time having to request hangers for our room; we eventually received them. Maintenance should be aware that the lights around the sink mirror may have a short. The lights flickered on and off and stayed on for a short while; however, for the remainder of the trip, they never worked. Luckily, there were a few other lights in the bathroom. We think there was perhaps a splattering of what looked like a streak of blood on the bathroom door, and the shower had a few pieces of hair on the wall and soap dish.

Stayed there six nights and they never once cleaned our room. We even had to call down for toilet paper and towels two of those days. Also heater did not work right. Would not stay there again!

The lobby area was nice and updated and very clean, however the carpet in our room felt disgusting, like there was some sort of greasy residue. The mattress on the bed was also in horrible shape and extremely uncomfortable.

The staff were very friendly. The room wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. There seems to be food crumps in the chair in the room and the bed cover was very tattered looking with looks threads sticking up everywhere. I felt safe, which is more important to be than a ratty bed cover. It’s centrally located and each to get to.

The room was small but fine. It was on the alley side which I didn't like. The room looked clean but the carpet smelled so bad it kept me awake at night. There was a deep funk. The shower was hot and had a strong spray but leaked onto the floor way past the bath mat, and when I wiped it up I slipped and fell. The folks who worked there were very efficient, kind and helpful, no complaints there. The area around the hotel was rather sketchy with some homeless. I didn't feel safe walking around late at night. There's a Starbucks, a convenience store and a restaurant right next to the hotel so that was nice. I think if you have something to do in the area the hotel is acceptable for the price.

Ideally situated in Downtown Brooklyn, a short walk to either the Brooklyn or Manhattan Bridges. Also a short walk to nearest subway stations, making access to Manhattan a breeze! As for the room, bed was comfy, bathroom was spacious and the TV worked! Main issue... room was warm, and A/C unit did not cool it down at bedtime (and, of course, we couldn't open the windows to let some cool, fresh air in); minor issue... the lighting in the room was inadequate, with lights only at bedside and at the desk - nothing overhead... again, minor.

We stayed for 5 nights and they stuck us in an incredibly small room, but ginormous bathroom. The bed and pillows were so hard. We woke up with headaches every morning and sore backs. And “there was nothing they could do” during our longer than average stay. The first time we stayed, it was great but this time was horrible. So we won’t be staying there again when there are so many other cool places to stay in NYC. Very disappointed.

This was our first stay at this Hampton, and we were very pleased with our experience. Our room was on the 14th floor and was in a quiet area. We had a comfortable bed, nice size TV, large bathroom, refrigerator, safe, very good breakfast foods, and AC controls we could adjust easily. The staff was efficient and friendly. It’s convenient to subway and bus access and close to LGA. We will stay here again.

Loud traffic, motorcycles and drifters racing all night, constant horns, and sirens. Got little sleep. AC needs a new thermostat. Either freezing or heating. Fridge didn't work. Restaurant was ok.

I typically don’t leave reviews for properties, but I need to shout from the rooftops to everyone to say how AMAZING this hotel is! It was my friend and I’s first time in NYC and we arrived at the hotel at 10am (early flight in). A gentleman (I unfortunately did not get his name) at the front desk contacted housekeeping right away to see if a room could get ready for us without hesitation. He found out it was our first time in the city and gave us a room with a beautiful view of the city! He locked our bags up so we could explore the city. He gave us a paper with recommendations of places to see, restaurants to eat at and so much more! Upon arriving back later that night, Jasmine at the front desk was fabulous and so kind. She gave us all of the hotels info regarding breakfast/bar and WiFi. Our room was perfect. For being in a city, the room was quiet and you couldn’t hear any cars from outside. The beds felt like I was sleeping in my own comfy bed at home. Everything was perfect and it felt like a dream come true. Thank you everyone for such a wonderful experience. We will be back!

My best friend from L.A. and I drove up to the Hampton Inn from the Washington DC area. We were warmly greeted by Molly, who offered us vouchers for free drinks at the bar. Luka told us about an amazing noodle restaurant walking distance away. The room was clean and comfortable. We loved the free breakfasts--everything was tasty and fresh. Every staff member--including Manny, DK, Kim, Ki, and of course Molly and Luka were friendly and warm and helpful! A few weeks earlier I visited Brooklyn with another friend, staying at another hotel a few blocks away from the Hampton Inn. It was inadequate, staff was rather rude, no free breakfast, and the room was screaming for a 21st century upgrade. The Hampton Inn was such a refreshing experience, coming off the disappointing stay at the other Brooklyn hotel a month earlier. Will definitely stay at the Hampton Inn next time I head up to NYC. Thanks again Hampton Inn staff. You are the Best!

The service provided by Kat (Kathryn) was outstanding! We were having trouble printing our boarding passes. (About 9:00pm on 2/22). Kat came over and asked if she could help. She spent several minutes showing us how to use a feature on our phone so we didn’t need to print. May seem like a small thing, but it was huge for us!! Also very helpful during check in and checkout. Major thanks to Kat!!!

This was a great alternative to staying in the city. It was convenient to several subway stops. The room was larger than average for NY, incredibly clean and comfortable and the shower was heaven. Not too far to get to area breweries by walking, subway, or rides hare and getting in and out of Manhattan was easy, too.

Great hotel, great location. We love staying at Hampton Inns. They always have a great breakfast buffet with a great selection. This room was a little smaller side, but it was ok. The subway station is only about 10 min away with great connections to all major sites in New York. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff were brilliant during our 5 night stay. Initially we’d been assigned rooms far apart from one another. Despite being very busy the management quickly arranged for me to be moved close by at the next opportunity. Many thanks for this! The hotel is very well positioned for transport links and there’s also many facilities in the local area. The breakfast had many options, more so than other Hamptons we’d stayed in.

It was very easy to travel via subway and Uber. Short walk to shopping and restaurants. Enjoyed the free morning breakfast bar and the 24 hour coffee. The only negative was that I had made a reservation for a New York City view room and they issued us a room with only a partial view to nearby buildings.

Generally a good hotel. The staff were amazing and beyond, so friendly, welcoming, helpful, hospitality personified. Rooms very clean, if a bit dated. The breakfast, however, was terrible. Nothing but ultra-high processed foods, high in sugar, salt and trans fats. What little fruit was available was not fresh. Breakfast was also served on paper plates with disposable plastic cutlery. Disappointing.

We had some issues but they were promptly addressed. I find this hotel to be very convenient in terms of location. The breakfast is included but you must get there early as it closes at 10 AM even on weekends.

You really should search for a better waffle batter distribution product. Surely there has got to be better products on the market. As it stands, the product you currently use is awkward, messy and always running out of batter. The waffle makers are fine but the device used to distribute waffle batter, not so good at all, Note: I have stayed at the Hampton Inn in Brooklyn for 4 years, always at Thanksgiving.
