There is some train noise during the night but it didn’t bother us that much (and would have been solved by ear plugs). The coffee and muffins from the bakery downstairs were sublime.

Man, this place is my absolute favorite. We’ve been here so many times and every time I fall more in love with the area. I love that they don’t have tv’s, you get to actually disconnect a bit. The bathrooms are newly remodeled and very nice. Can’t wait to come back. The only constructive feedback I have is that…they should consider going through the games and cards in the common area room and throw away the ones that have missing pieces and the decks that are missing cards. I brought a book so it wasn’t a big deal and I forgot my card deck at home. Wasn’t end of the world. And second, I wish they would replace the cushions on the furniture out front. Not even the furniture, just the cushions. I could sit there for hours and they are in very sad condition.

The whole Inn was so very clean. We had everything we needed. So nice to have the dining room there to have a bowl of clam chowder and delicious sourdough toast for a light dinner and a great and reasonably priced breakfast the next morning.

So happy I found this place! It’s very quaint! The Inn was very clean and well maintained. Staff is exceptionally friendly, and the coffee shop and restaurant were a great bonus. I would recommend that future patrons check out the Inn’s website to see what type of activities are going on as they do host events. I was not able to take advantage of this and really wish I had!!

The historic house is charming with lots of fascinating historical photos on the walls. As a family, we enjoyed the lounge area with toys and games. Room was cozy with everything we needed. The café has a good range of small breakfast bites which was a pleasant surprise. This was our second time staying at Bush House Inn and we would happily stay there again.

My room did not have a bathroom, but the available one just down the hall was very clean and I think I was the only one using it. Day or night it was clean, close and always available. The staff were excellent, so friendly and attentive. Because the hotel is quite old and historically registered, there were few modern conveniences in the rooms, but not missed to be sure! I watched my "TV" on my phone and they do have excellent wifi availability.

This os a wonderful place to stay in all respects! And the shared bathrooms are no problem at all: my husband and I each had one to ourselves, they lock so you have privacy alone, and they are modern, sparkling clean and huge! This inn is fantastic!

What a great place to stay. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Don’t be put off by the “shared bathrooms”. There are lots of them and they are very clean and convenient. This 120 year old historic inn was more convenient and less expensive than an air b&b. There aren’t many nice places to stay out this way and we will definitely be back for our next ski trip (30 mins from Stevens Pass).

We’ve stayed here quite a few times. It’s super quiet and safe. The staff is wonderful. The bathrooms are very nice, with heated floors. The one shower has dual heads. Beautiful historic inn.

Bush House Inn is a lovely historic inn which has been nicely updated. The setting is beautiful. There are two features that a prospective guest should know. 1) not all rooms have a private bath. 2) there are trains that run regularly through the town of Index which make some noise. Whistle blows are far less frequent at night. For some the sound of trains may be very nostalgic.

Last minute we decided to stay in the beautiful town of index after a hike. Booked the inn, I’ve stayed at the cottages next door before. It’s a beautiful, historical building. Bathrooms were updated, friendly staff, easiest check in and out. Would definitely stay again.

Index is extremely charming! Tucked away between the mountains with stunning views. Bush House is rich in history and the efforts of the owners to preserve its rustic, old fashioned manner are amazing! This place is ideal if you seek quiet place with easy access to hikes. What a beautiful Inn with an amazing restaurant! Apparently, it has been recently updated: our room & bath were beautifully new and clean, while the group rooms retained their historic charm. The food was fresh, healthy, and extremely tasty menu. I will book early if I'm back in town.
