This place was literally our favorite home away from home. The staff was very pleasant and polite. The complimentary laundry facility was an excellent touch to making our trip even the more stress free. The only thing that would have set this trip over the top, would have been to be able to access the pool. Other than that, we will definitely be booking again in the near future.

Everything about the stay was top notch. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I had my dog with me and they had treats at the front desk. Short walk to the Ravenell Bridge Pier and took advantage of this daily. The only down side was the pool is out of service and, being summer in South Carolina, it was hot and a dip in the pool would have been nice. All in all, highly recommend!

Good location and nice area. Close to the Charleston Music Hall for a concert. Needs more parking spaces but if you check in early, park your vehicle and use a ride share, you’re ok.

Check-in was easy, simple and hosts were very friendly. The room was nice - however found a few roaming roaches in the kitchen area. As well the A/C leaked inside on the rug (advised host at checkout of this). the item most affecting the rating is the chair that is in the room. Looks like they got it from a yard sale. I had asked to assure the filter in the A/C were clean - I was given the candid response about their cleanliness standards in an email reply but only one vent was clean out of the two. I cleaned the other due to the fact because hearing them talk to another person checking in they did not have any other availability.

The first room they gave me, wasnt cleaned... bed un-made and dirty glasses on counter.. They had to downsize me to a queen size bed room that was clean.. Front desk lady was very nice.

We’ve stayed at this Candlewood Suites previously, and this 2-night stay was just as wonderful as before. The staff are so friendly, our suite #308, was quiet, comfortable & most importantly - spotlessly clean!! All of the comforts of home & just over the bridge from Charleston. It doesn’t get better than this hotel. We’ll be back again, without a doubt.

This hotel is new and everything is beautiful (property, common areas, room) but the entire place (hallway, stairwell, and most importantly, room) smells like wet dog or dog pee (or both). The hotel is obviously pet friendly (which is great for those who need that), but the smell is very noticeable when you walk into your room or down the hall.

The room and bathroom were both spacious and we did not feel cramped. Having the kitchen and amenities like a microwave and large fridge was really nice. The only critiques would be a larger counter in the bathroom and a mirror over the desk so it could be used as a second place to do hair and makeup.

Decent budget hotel in a great area, convenient to all beautiful Mt Pleasant has to offer. The AC was a little too close to my bed though, and every time it switched on it blew freezing cold air right on top of me. But at least the room stayed cool during the heat wave we experienced

Nice room close to Charleston however keep in mind this hotel is right by the main road and was quite loud at night. Especially with people revving their engines at the stop light. Additionally, our room didn’t have hot water. We were only there 2 nights so we made do, but something to be aware of.

This hotel was very clean. The staff and service were very pleasant, always ready to help if anything was needed. Thank you! One minus — the reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because the air conditioner blows directly towards the bed. If you want to leave it on overnight, even at the lowest setting, you’ll get cold air blowing on you, which can lead to getting sick or feeling cold.

From check in to check out the staff was friendly and very helpful. Aidan, the front desk clerk was very tentative. He apologized for my wait. Due to when I arrived there was no one at the front desk. He was also updating me on information about the property such as parking and entering the building after dark. He was very concerned about my safety and I love that. Thank you Aiden and Candlewood suites for a relaxing getaway.

The staff here is absolutely incredible! I surprised my husband with a delayed anniversary trip to Charleston. The staff surprised us with flowers and a beautiful card in our room. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and not in need of anything. Yolanda greeted us upon our arrival, and then made sure that Kiera knew who we were to keep the wonderful service going. They texted me to see if we needed anything, and always welcomed us with a smile. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Parking was plentiful, and we never had to hunt down a spot. We will definitely be back for another visit!

Only issues I had were chk in and chk out. I wasn’t asked which card I preferred to use at chk in and they billed the wrong card for the stay. And at chkout had a “glitch” in their system that said I had checked out at 6 in the morning and I had staff knocking on my door at 8 am to clean it. Other than that a great place to stay and very quiet

Best location for access to coast, Mt Pleasant and Charleston downtown. Publix, Whole Foods, Trader Joes are all close by. Nice neighborhood behind the hotel. Easy to take walks from hotel. Staff was helpful and always spoke to you as you entered and exited. It was clean. Comfortable bed. It was great having a full kitchen.

Solid stay from beginning to end. Staff was friendly and very helpful, including suggestions of where to go while in town. Rooms are spacious and clean with comfy beds and all the amenities you could need. The hotel itself is well positioned between downtown Charleston to the west right over the bridge and the beaches to the south, southeast. Shem's Creek is also only a couple miles down the road with a great selection of bars and restaurants right on the water.

It was one of the best motels during our two week roadtrip through the southeastern states. The rooms were comfortable, clean and seemed to be relatively new. We also liked that it is situated close to Charleston, but a lot cheaper than staying directly in the city.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights. The location is great, just a short drive over the bridge to Charleston. You can reach downtown in approx. 13 min. Staff was nice and helpful. The room was spacious and clean with great amenities such as microwave, dishwasher and lots of dishes and utensils for cooking. The bathroom was a bit on the smaller side, but definitely manageable. Parking was safe and convenient. The hotel is also close to some restaurants and a grocery store, which iOS very convenient. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.

The desk staff were so pleasant and friendly! The bed was the most comfortable bed I've had my entire 6 week trip! The kitchen was perfect. Nice large TV. The staff obviously prioritize cleaning but I think perhaps they could find cleaners with less odors... I always like to walk in and not smell anything ... vs cleaners odors... but I understand that they really care about keeping everything clean and they do a great job with that! The location was great! Right off the bridge to the city so it's only 5 min. to the city. You get so much more for your money. Plus Mt. Pleasant has a lot of great places to see and many great food options. I would definitely stay there again! The coffee in lobby was great too!

Nice place especially for the price! Pretty up to date and the staff were very nice! Little kitchen for a long term stay. We made breakfast each morning to save a few bucks. Nearby there are grocery stores and restaurants. Not far from downtown Charleston, just over the bridge. Good place to stay overall!

I gave it a 3 star for comfort because the mattress had an odor, they only had 1 chair in the rooms. Had a nice kitchenette with a nice size frig but no place to eat. No table no chairs. I guess they want you to eat your meal on the bed. No breakfast included, no restaurant inside. Had a small convenient store but not worth the price. On a positive note the place was very clean and the staff was so friendly and accommodating.

The desk staff were so pleasant and friendly! The bed was the most comfortable bed I've had my entire 6 week trip! The kitchen was perfect. Nice large TV. I always like to walk in and not smell anything ... vs cleaners odors... but I understand that they really care about keeping everything clean and they do a great job with that! The location was great! Right off the bridge to the city so it's only 5 min. to the city. You get so much more for your money. Plus Mt. We would definitely stay here again. Many dining choices were available via a short walk or within a five minute drive. The staff were wonderful!! We were always greeted with a smile and how was your day.
